Zombie Bodyguard

Chapter 1117: The Dead Have No Right to Know

After the rock giant smashed down, it did not pause, but swept horizontally. The skeleton soldiers in front were like garbage, all swept away and disassembled. Just as Guizhong Erlang said, you will witness his power, truly an unstoppable force.

Several Skull War Generals charged out from the skeleton group, one of them being the Bronze Halberd General who had attacked the Xiao Family's Miss before. At this point, his weapon had completely recovered.

In total, there were three Skull War Generals: one wielded a bronze halberd, another a hammer, and the last one a long spear. The three Skull War Generals were on horseback, launching a charge to clash head-on with the rock giant.

The charging speed was extremely fast, and they collided fiercely. The bronze halberd, large hammer, and long spear all struck the rock giant simultaneously. Sparks flew where the weapons collided, and the massive body of the rock giant was actually sent flying, with some stones knocked off by the three Skull War Generals.

But in the instant the rock giant was airborne, it suddenly swept the pillar in its hand like sweeping fallen leaves. A series of "bang, bang, bang…" collision sounds followed, and the three Skull War Generals along with their horses were smashed flying.

Both sides crashed to the ground simultaneously, the horses having been struck on their heads, losing half of their faces. However, the Skull War Generals remained intact, but the rock giant now had three gaps on its body, caused by the weapons of the Skull War Generals.

"Guizhong Erlang, your shishen isn't up to par. No matter how big its body is, it will eventually be taken apart," Lin Tian shouted.

"Hmph, do you think her Skull Man is any better? Let's see who dismantles the other first!" retorted Guizhong Erlang, unwilling to concede, but just as he spoke, the Skull Warhorse was enveloped in a wave of dark energy, restoring its broken half face instantly.

Guizhong Erlang's eyes widened. He had been hiding underground, unaware that the generals could recover, thinking that like the skeleton soldiers, once broken they would disappear.

"Even if I die, I'll drag you down with me!" Guizhong Erlang said viciously, commanding his shishen to attack the building where Lin Tian was, clearly wanting to bring Lin Tian down.

"What a waste of my time!" Charlotte suddenly said, then raised her right hand, and a dark shadow flew from her hand directly toward the rock giant.

Everyone present was not ordinary, and could clearly see that the dark shadow was a Ghost Claw Dagger. Lin Tian had witnessed the power of the Ghost Claw Dagger before, capable of cutting through anything.

The rock giant had no awareness of the impending danger, clearly different from the Fox Concubine, with no consciousness of its own. The Ghost Claw Dagger sliced across the rock giant's neck. With a spin, the massive head fell off.

Although outwardly a rock giant, black blood sprayed from the severed neck. Charlotte did not stop; after retracting the Ghost Claw Dagger, she swung it again, this time cutting the arm. Charlotte continuously swung the dagger, and in the blink of an eye, Guizhong Erlang's shishen was dismantled.

The appearance and demise of this shishen lasted less than ten minutes, Guizhong Erlang clearly did not expect such a result, his eyes somewhat dazed.

In his view, his shishen wrapped in a layer of hard rock armor was unlikely to be hurt by the few weapons left in the world. Yet, he could never have imagined the prowess of Charlotte's Ghost Claw Dagger, slicing through things as if cutting through tofu.

"What… what kind of weapon is that?" Guizhong Erlang asked, stunned.

In fact, Lin Tian also wanted to ask; the dagger was too awesome, with an eerie shape, incredibly sharp, and most importantly, after being thrown, it returned on its own, much like a boomerang, yet even more agile.

Lin Tian surmised that Charlotte hadn't used the Ghost Claw Dagger against him, possibly due to her fear of the Crescent Blade, as the Crescent Blade was also no ordinary blade, whereas she had fewer reservations about Guizhong Erlang.

"The dead have no right to know," Charlotte said coldly, as the Ghost Claw Dagger flew from her hand again, this time targeting Guizhong Erlang.

Sweat broke out on Guizhong Erlang's forehead. He reached into his robe, quickly pulling out a piece of talisman paper, then tore it apart. A spherical light screen engulfed him, shielding him inside.

The Ghost Claw Dagger shot at the light screen, but its blade, usually unparalleled, was blocked and could not progress.

"Yet another amulet from the Guizhong Clan!" Lin Tian noted with a frown.

This protective barrier Lin Tian had seen before; last time at the Shrine, Guizhong Yilang had used it once, though it was shattered with one strike by the invincible Xu Feibai, claiming Guizhong Yilang's life.

Charlotte called back the Ghost Claw Dagger and said, "The oriental talismanic techniques indeed are magical, quite intriguing. I wonder how many attacks it can withstand?"

Lin Tian thought she would command the skeletons in a swarm tactic to grind down Guizhong Erlang, but instead, she grasped the dagger tightly and leaped off the high-rise building, which stood dozens of stories tall.

With an overwhelming momentum, she dived towards Guizhong Erlang. With a loud boom, she struck heavily against the protective barrier, and the dagger, carrying immense power, stabbed into the barrier.

The tip of the dagger and the barrier clashed, producing a piercing creak. Charlotte's gaze flashed with a blood-red light. The ghost claws of the dagger wriggled, tightly entwining Charlotte's wrist, then, as if alive, pierced her delicate skin, embedding into her arm.

Lin Tian looked on in shock, wondering what strange dagger this was, that harmed its wielder as it fought.

After the ghost claws embedded into Charlotte's arm, they emitted a blood-red glow, and in the instant the blood-red light flashed, Guizhong Erlang's barrier emitted a pop and shattered, leaving only specks of starlight.

Guizhong Erlang never imagined that his lifesaving talisman would be breached so swiftly. Confronted by the aggressive Charlotte, he first felt fear, a fear of death.

Perhaps he should beg for mercy; the pursuit of pinnacle power still awaited him. This thought crossed his mind, and he opened his mouth to say something, but Charlotte gave him no chance, immediately thrusting the dagger towards his heart.

Charlotte was too fast, and Guizhong Erlang was no match for close combat compared to Guizhong Yilang; he was pierced in an instant. He looked in disbelief at the dagger protruding from his chest, his eyes wide open.

The Ghost Claw Dagger in his chest glowed rapidly with red light, as if excited to have tasted live human blood. Lin Tian shook his head while watching, thinking it truly was an evil dagger.

Blood flowed backward along the dagger's groove, then was transported via the ghost claws into Charlotte's arm. Charlotte closed her eyes and said, "Far stronger than ordinary blood."

Regarding her statement, Lin Tian was indeed quite understanding. Back then, when he absorbed the blood of the Bai Family's Ancient Martial Artist Tribute, a cultivator's blood contained pure energy, which for vampires or zombies was incredibly nourishing.

With a swish, Charlotte swiftly pulled out the dagger. Guizhong Erlang fell rigidly, but his eyes remained wide open, unable to rest in peace! Especially since his blood had been drained by the dagger, his death was particularly grim. The already sunken eye sockets appeared even deeper, at first glance resembling a skull wearing human skin.
