"Tsk, what a pity..."
Homeni itched with both anticipation and regret; if not for this damn Border Prison, how could he be stuck here watching others build illustrious careers?
"Alright, no need to watch any longer."
He waved his hand disinterestedly, casting a glance at those heretical criminals chained together, wearing iron shackles around their heads.
Some had already burst into tears, some could barely walk with trembling legs, and some screamed hoarsely, repeatedly declaring that they had important information about the god's enemy Ji Jue, but no one cared.
Still, there were some who glared at him coldly.
Even until now, their madness, as if ready to devour others, showed no sign of weakening or retreating, filled with hatred and resentment, intending to bite through their throats even if only with their remaining broken teeth.
"This time, quite a few hard nuts to crack."
Homeni sneered, "Someone, go prepare the welcome ceremony; throw these heretics into the fire pit, let them burn for three years first!"
He had seen it all before.
Just let them burn for a few years, even the hardest bones will become as soft as dough; if not, add a few extra years of stoning and blade punishment...
No matter how stubborn the heretic, in no time, they would become drooling fools, pissing themselves at the sight of angels, like a dog.
"I quite like young people with backbone."
He lifted the person's chin with his long spear, grinning: "Don't let me..."
Boom!!!
The ear-piercing alarm blared suddenly, everyone froze for a moment, instinctively turning to look at the Central Sanctuary, pondering what pressing event could provoke such a disturbance. But then, they realized it was the highest-level alarm!
Too late, unfortunately.
At the moment of turning their heads, Homeni heard a massive sound from behind.
The copper mountain collapsed, the iron wall crumbled.
Amidst an unprecedented roar, a gigantic hole suddenly appeared above the firmament, and next, a grim train bathed in thunder and fierce flame descended from the sky.
Boom!!!!!!!
The enormous train, like a golden serpent, snaked forward, plowing straight into the fortress entrance, piercing, sliding, crushing Homeni's body, finally came to a gradual halt with an ear-piercing screech.
After the violent upheaval, everyone was dumbfounded.
Whether angel or heretic, they all stared wide-eyed in bewilderment, and then, they saw... a bald Old Deng suddenly pull open a window, leaned out of the carriage window, and threw up.
Motion sickness.
Soon after, the train doors opened.
Deep, heavy footsteps resounded.
The sudden traveler slowly emerged from the darkness, stepping onto this cursed land.
"So this is the Border Prison?"
Ji Jue took a light sniff of the sulfur and ash lingering in the air, looked up, gazing at the distant volcanoes, molten rock, and the staggering figures loitering in the wilderness, nodded involuntarily:
"The air's not bad, the scenery is pleasant too."
Yet, sadly, no one responded.
Only the sharp creaking of metal rang continuously, echoing, amidst the spraying of scorching gases, gates flew open with a bang, and within the train's darkness, pairs of scarlet pupils gradually lit up.
"Well then, the Hell Express has reached its final destination - the Border Prison."
With hands clasped behind his back, Ji Jue said softly, "In a while, may all passengers gather your belongings, disembark in an orderly fashion, please refrain from pushing..."
Tap!
The impatient Yan Fei already emerged from the crowd, iron wings spreading wide, dashing forward, first to step on an angel raising a weapon, trampling the overconfident resistor into mud.
Blood splattered, almost landing on Ji Jue's trouser hem.
Then, the sound of clanging steel was unending as one by one, ferocious metallic giants burst from the train cars, grim of face, swinging their weapons, wildly bashing the nearest enemies.
The booms continued, a scene of devastation.
Ji Jue sighed helplessly: "Alright, pretend I said nothing."
Amidst cries of murder, she looked around, somehow feeling someone was missing, and then realized... in a special seat, the petite figure with an eye mask, peacefully snoring.
Hmm, a pile of empty bottles at her feet... after downing them with tons and tons, still not awakened.
The longer she abstains from drinking this broken wine, the fiercer she drinks when she does.
Drink a little less!
Whatever, let her sleep a while longer... no rush anyway.
Ji Jue sighed, glanced left and right, nonchalantly walked through the crowd amidst the carnage, stepping over corpses, flipped over a table, settled onto the most luxurious seat at the center, shifting into a comfortable position.
Watching quietly.
The sounds of slaughter and shouts echoed endlessly, while distant rumbles gradually drew closer.
In the very center of Border Prison, amidst the towering, treacherous Sacred Place, beams of radiance soared skyward, and the Angel Legion stationed there leapt into the air, storming forth to cover the sky.
The terrifying scale, so mighty.
Filling the firmament.
Within the hall once again, only silence remained.
Those angels torn to pieces had long scattered, their Divine Power's glow dimmed, consumed entirely by the demons' spears. Meanwhile, the criminals not yet punished were uniformly gathered, stuffed into the train.
"Mr. Ji."
A hulking metal demon returned, bloodied, bowing respectfully, seeking orders: "Should we evade the sharp edge?"
"Sharp edge? Where's the sharp edge?"
Ji Jue nonchalantly chuckled, waved: "No need to evade, I'll be here, the rest I leave to you all.
The time for vengeance has arrived, gentlemen, I have entrusted this power to you, and now, everything I promised is before you.
Go tear off their wings, sever their heads, seize their halos, finally toss them into the flames to burn, let them experience what you once felt.
No peaceful death awaits them, nor any end.
This wrath and retribution continue until one side among us burns completely to ash—"
In that instant, the blood-stained demon grinned, fervently bowing low, half-kneeling to the ground:
"As you command."
The spear tips scraped against the ground, iron wings clashed against iron wings, steel and steel intertwined, amidst the pools of blood, a sudden gale arose, and under the blazing fierce light spray, the metallic demons ascended.
Grasping gun spears, becoming one with iron, their features grotesque.
Unwavering, they charged at the overwhelming tide!
In the hall returned to silence, aside from the unending sound of collapse, only the painful moans from beneath Ji Jue's feet remained.
In the muck, the shattered Angel Leader struggled to rebirth, aimlessly moaning, instinctively calling out, wanting to ask what exactly had happened.
But upon raising his head, he saw a pair of pitch-black eyes scrutinizing him.
"Shh—"
Ji Jue raised a hand to his lips, a friendly reminder.
Yet such a smile left Homeni completely frozen, bewildered, turning only to see the fragmented remains in the pool of blood, subordinates writhing in despair after losing their Divine Power, silently screaming, howling, unable to utter a sound.
"You, you are..."
Homeni's pupils trembled, dilating, almost screaming aloud.
"Hello there."
Ji Jue slowly extended a hand, placing it on that twisted, terrified face, and finally, bid farewell warmly: "Welcome to the Border Prison."
Slap!
A gust of wind blew, and the Angel Leader, vanished in a puff of dust.
Only a sifting dance of Dust fell into the blood, dyed ash-gray.
At that moment, upon the throne, Ji Jue raised his head, gazing at the distant land ablaze with fierce flames, the sky filled with slaughter and battle, and everything, laughing with satisfaction.
Welcome to my Border Prison!
