A constant stream of notifications from the simulator buzzed in Chen Pingchuan's ear, one after another. At first, he paid no mind to the monotonous, rapid sounds, but when he realized the simulator showed no sign of stopping, he summoned its notification panel and began to inspect the contents line by line.

The light screen was densely packed with a long, extensive list of rewards from this simulation, making Chen Pingchuan's eyes widen in disbelief. Ever since he had acquired the simulator, he had never seen so many rewards at once.

Chen Pingchuan slowly stood up, walking to the window with a slightly tired yet leisurely gait. Under the dim indoor lighting, his silhouette was cast long and lonely. Outside the window, the night was as black as ink, thick with a sorrow that seemed impossible to dissolve.

Recalling the terrifying experience in the simulation, a flicker of fear—and lingering dread—flashed in his eyes. The feeling of his Spiritual Power being completely depleted, the powerlessness in the face of fate, the visceral despair... it all made it impossible for Chen Pingchuan to ever again treat the lives in the simulation with a casual attitude.

He silently made a resolution.

I have to work harder and improve so that what happened in the simulation never plays out in reality.

His mind made up, he turned his attention back to the simulation rewards.
