"BOOM. BOOM. BOOM. BOOM. BOOM. BOOM. BOOM. BOOM. BOOM!"
Explosion after explosion echoed across the battlefield as the three combatants fought with everything they had.
Cain's body burned with raw strength as he forced the Overseer into melee exchanges whenever possible. He could not rival the Overseer's absolute mastery over the Aspects of the Flow, even with the aid of his Crimson Bloodline, but what he could do was anticipate his enemy's techniques before they fully formed and intercept them with unrelenting force.
Sword and polearm clashed again and again, each impact louder, heavier, more brutal.
At his peak, the Overseer had been physically stronger than Cain, but now, with only his left arm remaining, their strength was evenly matched.
The Crimson Exarch stayed close behind, always one step removed from the melee, his speed stretched to the limit as he traced the chaotic dance of blades. He sought every possible angle to fire, darting dangerously close so the Overseer would have no room to dodge. Each shot was a risk; each approach placed him a heartbeat away from annihilation.
The tempo of battle grew more frenzied by the second. None slowed. None yielded, as they were ready to give and risk everything in order to thrive and attain victory.
The Overseer's knee twisted, then he spun, his left foot slamming into the Crimson Exarch's neck. The blow sent the man crashing through the floor, a trail of sparks marking his descent. The sound of bones cracking echoed from inside his body, and blood emerged from his mouth.
The Overseer didn't pause. He pivoted, channeling all his strength into his polearm and cleaving downward at Cain.
A flash of pain crossed Cain's face as the weapon slashed across his chest, tearing through flesh and muscle. Yet even wounded, he swung upward, his sword carving a brutal arc that ripped across the Overseer's side.
Not a second later, the Crimson Exarch reappeared. His neck was bleeding, but his eyes burned with unwavering focus. Raising both guns, he fired twin shots into the ragged wound where the Overseer's right shoulder had once been.
Agony erupted through the Overseer's gaze. The twin projectiles exploded inside his body, hurling him backward across the metallic ground, blood spraying in his wake.
The Overseer's injuries had reached a critical point, and unlike the duo, he did not have a Throne that could constantly infuse him with vitality. If the battle stretched much longer, he would lose.
His eyes glowed with cold fury and determination as he roared, pushing the Aspect of Unity to a level that defied logic. His body ignited with golden plasma, his form transforming into a living star as every aspect of his being ascended beyond comprehension.
Cain and the Exarch both felt the surge, and without a word, they exchanged a glance and unleashed their final power.
"Doomsday Incarnation!"
"Salvation Incarnation!"
Their duo's roars split the air as their transformations began.
From deep within Cain's heart, the Neo-Demon Core blazed, awakening the hidden power of the Absolute Destruction Doomsday Body and the Crimson Bloodline. His transformation came from within, a rebirth through annihilation.
The Crimson Exarch's Neo-Angel Core, by contrast, expanded outward, seizing the cosmic forces around him and weaving them into his essence. His transformation was one of domination, of becoming the law itself.
Cain's form grew, reshaping into a towering demonic warlord clad in armor forged from his own bones. Each jagged plate pulsed with crimson light. His wings expanded, vast and bladed, lined with countless unblinking eyes that gazed across dimensions. Two blackened horns curved from his helm, framing a shadowed face lit only by the burning coals of his eyes.
The Crimson Exarch's appearance changed less dramatically, yet his entire form now radiated divine majesty. His body blazed with golden fire; a radiant halo burned above his head like a miniature sun, casting rays that pierced the void. From his back unfurled wings of pure celestial flame, each feather flickering with the rhythm of the Flow. The same divine energy coursed through his twin guns, binding light and matter into one.
Three immense pillars of power rose across the battlefield as their energies collided. Space trembled. The world itself seemed to hold its breath.
The Neo-Demon, the Neo-Angel, and the Overseer glared at each other and knew it.
This was the end, the final stretch of their fight.
The pillars of energy collapsed inward, returning to their bodies. The arena fell silent until their movements shattered the stillness. Their speed tore through the fabric of reality.
The Scarlet King's sword and the Overseer's polearm met once more. Blasts of destruction erupted in all directions like solar flares as they poured their remaining strength into each blow.
Their weapons locked, vibrating with unimaginable force, neither able to overwhelm the other.
From the flank, the Crimson Exarch appeared, his eyes cold and resolute. He fired both guns at once.
No bullets or projectiles, only lasers of compressed energy, so dense they burned through space-time itself.
Just before they struck the Overseer's head, his muscles twitched. He broke the stalemate between sword and polearm, twisting his body with impossible precision. The beams seared past his face, scorching the air where his skull had been a heartbeat earlier.
He used that same momentum to spin again, channeling his power into his weapon. With a roar, he released a massive golden arc that surged outward, engulfing the Crimson Exarch.
The explosion swallowed the Neo-Angel, his figure vanishing in the radiant blaze of power and destruction.
But even as the Overseer turned, his instincts screamed.
A threat was coming, vast and immediate.
Cain flashed forward like a crimson meteor, his sword leveled, his aura blazing brighter than ever before. Every drop of his energy, every shred of his soul, was channeled into Sky Devourer. The Flow surged through the weapon, its frequency shifting constantly, preventing the Overseer from diverting or redirecting it.
It was a single strike, unstoppable, absolute, aimed straight for the Overseer's heart.
