Getting a Technology System in Modern Day

Chapter 1003: Don't die before Fu*king it

The video played in sequence, starting from the wormhole opening, the Shadari delivering the bomb, and its explosion, the same way it was posted through the Conclave channel. But then it was rewound in a fast-forward way before the camera moved from the Shadari team's perspective towards the planet. As it got closer, it went through a bubble that was made obviously visible through edits, revealing the real situation on the planet. The camera then turned to look in the direction of the Shadari group after they had released the bomb.

As the camera continued moving in reverse toward the planet, and just as the bomb went through the first shield, the camera went through the second shield that was moving towards the outer one with a portion of the atmosphere. Moments before the bomb exploded, the shields shook violently but still managed to contain the explosion, even using the inside shield's feature of light filtering to reduce the amount of light that reached the people on the ground. The camera did not show any of the devastation, despite being only a few hundred meters from the second shield, before it panned to show the explosion spreading inside the shield and going around the planet, momentarily blanketing the entire planet and turning the dark part of it into day for a few minutes.

This was all the empire showed, as they didn't see the need to reveal that they could do mass-coordinate wormhole opening and closing for billions of people in a matter of a few minutes, since the implications of that alone were scary, even more so than the shield being able to handle that much firepower.

What they did show, however, was a shift to another camera, this time a few seconds before the bomb exploded, showing what was seen from the outside. Those who were intelligent or had analytical abilities could see the difference between what it looked like from the outside and what actually happened on the inside. On the outside, it showed that the devastation was taking place on the land, with an ever-expanding cloud and shockwave seen as it went around the world. The screen then shifted between the inside view and the outside view, repeating again and again and getting faster each time before the screen went black. A second later, a line appeared: [We never leave our allies alone, and you have the opportunity to join us.]

The line stayed for a moment before fading as a new scene replaced the words, showing a view from Proxima Centauri with fleets upon fleets gathering in a single location. With each passing moment, more and more of them were gathering. The clip showed for only a few seconds before the screen once again faded to black, and like the previous time, a new line appeared: [As a Tumblr writer said in 3AE, "You haven't kissed freedom yet, so don't die before you've had the chance to fuck it."] And with those words, the video came to an end.

Quite a short note, unlike the one the Conclave released, but it carried more punch than all of what the Conclave released combined.

And as if to get in front of any arguments that it was CG and they were lying, the Nymari official VR account posted a live stream. For those who clicked it, they found themselves watching how the two shields were still containing all of the radioactive materials. As if deliberately timed for when people had tuned in, a wormhole opened inside the shield, followed by the shield shrinking, which acted as a compressor, forcing all of the air and particles inside it to be pushed towards the wormhole, taking away all of the radioactive and contaminated atmosphere and dropping it on the outside of the star system's heliosphere.

…………………..

Each person had a different reaction to the video, with their reactions depending on which part had the majority of their attention.

For the Nymari soldiers who thought their families were killed, for the loyalists who thought their leader was killed, for the normal people who thought they were going to be enslaved by the Conclave, they all felt relief and immediate gratitude for the empire for protecting their people, leader, or government.

The Nymari fleets that were still inside the spatial lock field all took down their shields and surrendered to the empire the moment they received both the video and orders from their leaders through the empire's channels. With the video alone, the empire had immediately turned all of the soldiers inside the ships to willingly and happily do so, as they considered the empire to be their saviors.

For those who were just outside spectators, they felt a drop in their hearts for both the technological capabilities of the empire but also the final video that showed the empire was just in the middle of transitioning from a passive response to an active one, meaning everything they had been doing previously had been just one of the many always-ready forces. Just twenty-four hours after the start of the Conclave's surprise attack, the empire was finally bringing its dormant forces and war mobilization into action. It was bad news for anyone who was on the side of the Conclave and below the top fifty civilizations, as they were the weakest and would most likely be the first to be struck before the empire could focus on the top fifty who had wormhole technologies under their control.

But for many, they still believed that the Conclave was still going to come out on top, as they were yet to know the full picture of the situation.

………………….

While the video was circulating and creating a buzz, generating massive wins in the psychological warfare, the empire was actually doing its final preparations. Fleets were gathering not only in Proxima Centauri, but the mobilization was also happening on one of the empire's interstellar space stations that were kept far from the solar system and the eyes of the Conclave, having gone into production the moment they started receiving raw materials from Dreznor-held planets that had an abundance of them.

Per Nova, Athena, and Gaia's agreement, they needed to finish dealing with those below the top fifty as fast as possible, then move on to those below twenty as fast as possible before the end of the month. If the Emperor woke up in a month, he would only have to focus on the top twenty, who might actually need his active involvement. From the look of it, it didn't seem like that difficult of a thing, considering what they had managed to do in the span of twenty-three hours since the surprise attack.
