Wizard: I Can Refine Everything

Chapter 102: Unexpected Situation

"Attack, attack!"

The commander's orders over the legion communicator were like thunder.

Energy beams came pouring in like raindrops, while on the ground, the Wizard Army clad in Fine Alchemy Armor advanced forward.

The area where the legion was located was a plain, with fortresses made of Enchanted Mixed Materials scattered everywhere like mushrooms. In the sky, Furnace Man Fighters and Furnace Man Battleships were engaged in combat with the Floating City Fleet, terrifying attacks continuously exploding in the air, almost obliterating any complete space in the entire sky.

The chaotic space currents were more prevalent on this battlefield than even air.

At the center of the battlefield, a tremendously massive tower constantly emitted fearsome energy surges.

Before this, the tower had launched multiple attacks, and each attack resulted in the fall of a Great Wizard.

The main command had already issued orders to capture this tower at all costs.

"Boss, cover me!"

On the ground battlefield, Asu, clad in Fine Alchemy Armor and resembling a small giant, roared in fury. Suddenly, four streams of ghostly blue jets burst from behind him, instantly increasing his speed to fifty times the speed of sound.

Behind him, Gao Wen, also clad in Alchemy Armor, immediately caught up.

With a casual wave of his hand, dozens of Floating Cannons fired in overload mode, and in an instant, dozens of beams of ten thousand energy levels shot out.

Suppressing the enemy in front of Asu, preventing them from advancing.

Bang!

A piercing explosion rang in Richard's ears.

Charging near the fortress, Asu swung his hammer down, and the heavy hammer with Decomposition Force Field instantly created an opening in the fortress.

"Breach opened, prepare for internal combat."

Gao Wen's voice echoed through the communication system in the ears of the assault team members. In the next moment, dozens of figures, almost like phantoms, dashed through the opening into the fortress.

The structure inside the fortress was already familiar to the team members. The Undead Wizard swung the standard Fine Crafted Magic Staff, and a Magic Array appeared at the tip of the staff. Following that, hundreds of specters, each possessing Second Level strength, rushed out from the array, quickly advancing through the corridor.

In past battlefields, the Undead Wizards typically served as doctors and scouts, but in this battlefield, soldiers usually faced only two outcomes: survival or death, so the medical role of Undead Wizards was significantly reduced, replaced by their primary role as scouts.

These specters were the most practical reconnaissance tools.

With the specters' reconnaissance, dozens of traps targeting the assault forces were triggered in advance, and the internal arrangements of the Furnace Men were also identified.

The information was shared through the Mind Network, and then the Wizard team launched their assault.

Buzz!

White-purple lightning streaked across the corridor.

"Provide fire cover."

"Charge, charge, charge."

Boom!

"Decomposition beam! The turret has been destroyed."

"Continue the attack."

Boom——

Crimson flames enveloped the corridor, the intense heat instantly melting the Wizards' Energy Barriers and Armor.

"Five and six are down, seven is critically injured."

"Continue the attack."

The Furnace Man Army was undoubtedly elite. Even though their positions had been identified and tactical responses devised against them, Gao Wen's team still lost five members, with three others lucky enough only to be rendered combat ineffective.

"Fortress 345 has been cleared, our squad has reduced its numbers by more than half, requesting reorganization."

"Zzz... Battle Zone Command Center has received, reorganization request approved, the reorganized team will arrive at Fortress 345 in three minutes."

With a brief respite, Gao Wen approached Asu's side.

Technically, clans should not be on this battlefield.

Their battlefield was usually at secondary battlefields, where the intensity was lower, making it suitable for clans to engage in meat grinders.

However, as a squad commander, Gao Wen had the authority to choose a deputy, so Asu became his deputy.

"How's your status? Withdraw if you can't continue. I checked, the field medical team will be here in ten minutes."

Asu's condition looked precarious; a high-energy jet had pierced through his left abdomen, and the charred wound was emitting a strange burnt fragrance.

"It's just a minor wound, no problem."

Asu waved his hand, and a syringe popped out from his Arm Armor, driving a needle into the wound.

Under the effects of the injection, his wound began to heal at a visible rate.

"Use less of that stuff."

Gao Wen frowned slightly. As an Alchemy Wizard, he was well aware of what those battlefield emergency recovery potions really were.

The essence of these things was nothing more than borrowing from the future to deal with present needs. Even when mixed with Life Essence, their damage to the body was immense.

Repeated use of such injections could lead to physical regression at a minimum, and at worst, cellular disintegration was not out of the question.

"Ah, you're always thinking so far ahead, Boss. Around here, it's uncertain whether we'll see tomorrow, I'm just cashing out my future."

Asu's voice carried a hint of indifference, as he had started delving into the philosophy of Wild Beastmen after the war's intensity increased.

But his level of thought, akin to burning a piano to brew heron soup, didn't grant him any profound insights. The greatest use of Wild Beastmen philosophy was to make this already fearless Wild Beastman even bolder and more daring.

According to him, he's experiencing the true meaning of life.

The meaning of life doesn't lie in how long you live, but rather in whether you can pursue your ideas and execute them unwaveringly.

Gao Wen said nothing, casually sealing the gap on him with metal, then sat down beside him.

His hand armor center suddenly opened, revealing a photo.

In the photo, the Witch with antlers smiled brightly. Beside her, Gao Wen looked helpless, while Asu wore a playful grin.

Asu glanced at it, his tone suddenly becoming a bit envious.

"Ah, that woman is really lucky."

During the great retreat of the Gods Civilization, Donna also joined the war. As a logistics personnel, her risk level should have been the lowest on the battlefield.

But unfortunately, no matter how low the risk, there are always times of danger.

Donna soon lost her first life on the battlefield and used up her remaining two chances of resurrection in the same war.

After her soul box was depleted, Donna used this as a condition to apply for a reassignment to the rear. She is now working as a factory director at an Alchemy Factory.

"If your soul box is damaged, you can go back too," Gao Wen said calmly as he put away the photo.

"Hahaha, never mind," Asu laughed. "I intend to become a Martial Saint. If I use the soul box, I won't even become a Grandmaster, let alone a Martial Saint."

Gao Wen didn't continue the conversation. After swallowing a bottle of Magic Potion to restore his spiritual power, he closed his eyes to rest.

Boom!

A loud explosion suddenly interrupted Gao Wen's rest.

An unimaginable and terrifying pressure descended like the sky falling on the head of every Wizard.

Gao Wen's expression changed. This level of pressure he had only felt once, on the battlefield of the Ashen Day World.

Could it be that a Dominator has arrived in this world?

"All Wizards, be advised, all Wizards, be advised, the enemy Dominator is descending, the enemy Dominator is descending. Everyone, retreat immediately, everyone, retreat immediately!"

The voice coming through the communication system made Gao Wen's hair stand on end. Beings of the Dominator level were beyond what mere mortals like them could resist.

Even the legendary Great Wizard Army might not withstand the weakest Dominator.

"How could a Dominator descend?"

...

"Damn, what the hell did that monster do!"

Looking at the information gathered from various battle lines, the staff officers at the Star Realm Battle Zone Command Center felt their scalps tingling.

In just one hour, there were reports of Dominator invasions from seven worlds.

Such nonsense that even a drunkard in a tavern wouldn't spout was actually happening in reality.

"Have you reached the Crown Throne?"

The Chief of Staff shouted at his secretary.

"The Crown Throne is currently engaged in battle with the Dominator and has no time to command."

Bam!

"Damn it!"

The Chief of Staff slammed the table, the powerful force instantly creating a palm-shaped hole in the enchanted alloy table.

"Contact the rear! See if any Crown Throne is not in combat."

The current situation was too bizarre, even a Six Rings Wizard like the Chief of Staff didn't dare to make rash conclusions.

Although retreating seemed like the best option at the moment, the strategic goal set by the Crown Throne was to attack.

Retreating would be a tactical victory, but a tactical victory should never affect strategic success. Otherwise, even as a Six Rings Wizard, he would be sent to the Atonement Army.

"Yes."

The secretary responded swiftly and then entered the Wizard Dimension, communicating with the help of the Secret Keeper's power.

"Contact the Crown Throne? Let me see."

In the City of Eternal Truth, the magic book in the hands of the Secret Keeper flipped open, and countless Runes circulated incessantly within.

"Unfortunately, all the Crown Thrones... oh, you're in luck; there is actually one Crown Throne still available."

The Secret Keeper's initial words almost plunged the secretary's mood into despair, but the subsequent words turned the situation around, instantly exciting him.

"Which Crown Throne is it?"

"The Miracle Crown," the Secret Keeper smiled. "The Miracle Crown is currently available. Shall I notify them?"

Miracle Crown?

Upon hearing this answer, the secretary was momentarily stunned.

As a Great Wizard, he was well aware of the disputes among the upper echelons of Wizard Civilization. Currently, the Miracle Crown had subtly started a war with the Shaping Power and Alchemy Crown Thrones. As people of the Shaping Power Crown, to rashly ask the Miracle Crown to make a decision somewhat felt like slapping their leader's face.

However, if they didn't ask, they couldn't make an overall strategic change.

With almost no hesitation, the secretary immediately passed this difficult decision to his superior.

He couldn't bear such a heavy responsibility as a subordinate.

"What? Only the Miracle Crown is left?"

The Chief of Staff's voice sounded extremely terrified. As a Six Rings Great Wizard, he knew more than the low-ranking secretary.

He understood very well that the Crown Thrones were not competing for mere say, but for the true leadership position.

Among them, except for a weaker foundation in the school, in terms of Dominator combat power, the Miracle Crown absolutely crushed the other two Crown Thrones, to the extent that the two Crown Thrones had a hint of joining forces.

However, at this critical juncture, it seemed he had no other choice.

Choosing the Miracle Crown would mean possibly shifting to the Miracle School later. But if he delayed the strategy, he'd have to join the Atonement Army.

"Tell the Secret Keeper to notify the Miracle Crown. I'll bear all the consequences!"

A moment later, while adjusting his soul in the Dimension, a voice suddenly sounded by Richard's ear.

"Crown Throne, the frontline needs your support."
