They have many passive and active defenses put in place to prevent something like this. Yet, they didn't notice anything at all.

This could only happen if the enemy who trapped them in the illusion was vastly stronger than them. At their stage, not even an angel could catch them off guard like this, so they were sure that a god was acting against them.

If a god is acting against them, they feel that they can't hold back at all. So in order to resolve the illusion that they were in, they used the only ultimate divine ability at their disposal.

They used the Independence ultimate ability. This caused a golden shield to appear around them. Then they detached from reality.

The rules of the world stopped affecting them. This caused the barriers of the physical dimension, spiritual dimension, and dream dimension to stop having any effect on them. They could now transverse into any dimension and roam it freely without being constrained.

It was as if their state of existence had been elevated. They suddenly gained a superior point of view of the world and the parts of it that were interacting with them.

Once this happened, everything going on around them became detached from them. They also gained a clear view of their current situation.

They saw that they were not caught in any illusion. Apparently, what had happened earlier was absolutely normal.

They would have found this difficult to believe if they saw the reason why what happened had happened. This reason explained everything perfectly, which put them at peace.

They saw that it wasn't that the two demigods hadn't noticed them, the attack, and the injury. The two of them were just ignoring all of these things.

This was confirmed when Legion used Mental Domination to enter their minds. They saw that the first layer of the minds of the two demigods received perception of their presence, noticed the bleeding wound, and saw the arm on the ground.

The two demigods just chose to ignore all of these things. The cognition of their minds simply failed to register these events after noticing them.

For some weird reason, anything related to them was being ignored. Something was making the two demigods unable to recognize anything related to them.

This made them realize that it was the two demigods that were behaving strangely, not that they were caught in an unreasonable illusion. It also didn't take much for Legion to figure out what was causing the demigods to behave so strangely.

They looked at their Invisibility Shield divine ability and noticed that it was consuming a lot more spiritual energy than normal. It was as if it was actively resisting something and doing its best to keep them hidden.

In order to confirm that the Invisibility Shield was the culprit, they deactivated the Independence ultimate divine ability and the Aegis Shield.

They deactivated every divine ability they had apart from the Invisibility Shield. When the two demigods still didn't notice them, they also deactivated the Invisibility Shield divine ability.

As soon as the Invisibility Shield came down, the two demigods noticed them immediately. The knight was shocked by their sudden appearance and jumped back to create some distance between them, while the traveler cried out in pain and chose to run away as fast as possible.

The two of them were understandably shocked that someone had entered their safe place without them noticing and had attacked them. The first thought on their minds was to escape. But they gave up on this thought immediately Legion reactivated the Invisibility Shield.

Both the traveler and the knight stopped in their tracks once Legion disappeared. They looked around in confusion, unable to understand what was going on.

The traveler ignored the pain of his bleeding arm and asked the knight in a confused tone, "What was I doing just now?"

The knight shook his head and said with a lost look, "I don't know."

But then his eyes lit up in understanding. He said, "I remember. We were talking about how lucky undying godclads are and how we are running out of lifespan."

The traveler nodded in agreement and said, "That's true. At this rate, we will never be able to become angels."

The two of them returned to chatting as if nothing had happened. They still noticed what was going on around them and even had memories of seeing Legion and running away from him, but they chose to ignore all of these things again.

This was exactly what had happened earlier when Legion had attacked the traveler. The only change in the situation was that the consumption of spiritual energy by the Invisibility Shield divine ability had doubled.

So the consumption of the Invisibility Shield divine ability had increased to eightfold its normal consumption. This indicated that it was doing more work to hide Legion.

They performed even more tests, such as leaving the demigods before deactivating the Invisibility Shield divine ability. They left a copy of their mind in the minds of the two demigods through the Mind Domination divine ability as a means to monitor their reaction.

Once the Invisibility Shield divine ability was deactivated, the two demigods recovered from their strange state and noticed what was going on around them.

They noticed that the traveler's arm had been cut and was bleeding profusely. They didn't remember that they had seen someone appear with them in the safe room. It was as if that event had never happened. So they began to panic all over again.

But as soon as the Invisibility Shield went up again, the two of them stopped panicking. They simply took everything in stride as if everything was normal.

Then they resumed their conversation as if it was the most important thing in the world that they should be doing at that point in time. Legion marveled as they saw this.

This confirmed beyond reasonable doubt that the abnormal situation was caused by the Invisibility Shield divine ability. For some reason, their Invisibility Shield divine ability is doing something that has never been recorded to be capable of doing.
