بدا من الواضح أن المعركة قد حسمت لطرف البشر والأسترا والإينيكس ضد روبوتات جايا التي كان عددها يقل تدريجيًا وقد تحطمت أقواها وخرج ليونيس ويوسف وأكيرا منها واختبأوا بعيدًا عن القصف وقال يوسف والفزع يتجلى في أعينه:

- اسمعوا جيدًا ما سأقوله لأني لا أملك الكثير من الوقت... على يوسف أن يأتي بسرعة ويأخذ منّي بلورة الحياة ويهرب إلى المكان الذي أخبرتكم عنه، وأما ليونيس وأكيرا فعليكم أن تذهبا بسرعة وتقنعا العينات السبعة بأن تأتي معكما وإلا فإنهم سيصبحون أدوات خطيرة في يد جلاديوس وعندها أخبروهم الحقيقة واجعلوهم ينضمون إليكما، وعندما تذهبون إلى المكان الذي أخبرتكم عنه ستجدون من يدلكم على ما عليكم فعله.

قال يوسف بتوجسٍ وذعر:

- هل خسرت المعركة؟

- ليس بعد ولكن إن لم ينجح هجومي الأخير فأظنها نهايتي... سأكون خذلتكم ولكنّي لا أمتلك أحد بقوة الإينيكس ليقاتل بجاني، ولهذا ربما كان مُقدرٌ لي أن أخسر في النهاية... لقد استهنت بهم وظننت أنّي أستطيع وحدي أن أقضي عليهم ولكن جلاديوس غير مجرى المعركة بالكامل... ولكنّي لم أهزم بعد.

شعر ثلاثتهم بأن قلوبهم تكاد تختنق بين قفصهم الصدري عندما سمعوا اسم جلاديوس وأدرك يوسف أن مهمته ستكون محفوفة بالخطر، فقال وقد عزم أمره على أن ينهي مهمته إلى النهاية أو يموت وهو يحاول:

- أنا في الطريق.

بينما صرخ ليونيس والدموع تنهار من عينيه قائلاً:

- أبي إياكَ أن تمت وتتركنا لهؤلاء الأوغاد الذين لا يرحمون.

تقدم ياسين مع الأسترا وألحقوا بالروبوتات الهزائم تلو الهزائم وحطموهم تحطيمًا ولكنه فجأة لاحظ ما حدث فوق التل البعيد من عواصف وبراكين فأدرك أن جايا والده هناك فقال لعمر:

- فلتقد أنتَ الأسترا لأن لدي بعض الأمور العائلية التي يجب أن انهيها.

بعد أن أطلق جايا العنان لقوة بلورة الحياة وتفجرت الطبيعة بعشوائية تضرب كلّ ما حولها وأنقلب الكوكب وبدأ يتشكل ويتغير بطريقة عجيبة، رأى جايا بعض النباتات تخرج من الأرض وتُمسك بالصولجان وتسحبه من بين يده بسرعةٍ كبيرة حتى أفلته وهو مشدوه مما حدث، وعندما نظر وجد ياسين قد أمسك بالصولجان وهو ينظر بتحدٍ إلى والدهِ، فهدأت السماء والأرض واتسعت عين جايا مما حدث وعلم أنهُ الآن بلا حماية فركض ناحية ياسين وهو يقول:

- أيها الأحمق أنتَ لا تعلم ما تفعل... أعطني البلورة حالاً.

قال ياسين وهو يضرب بالصولجان الأرض حتى أحاطت الأشجار بجايا وقيدته:

- هذا يكفي. لقد سببت الكثير من الآلام والدمار حتى الآن.

فأخرج جايا اللهب من يديهِ وأحرق الأشجار وصاح قائلاً والهلع على وجهه:

- أيها الأحمق سينتهي كلّ شيء إلى الأسوأ إن لم تعطني البلورة حالاً.

وفي هذه اللحظة خرج جلاديوس من وراء ياسين، وهمّ أن يمسكه ويسحبه إلى البوابة ولكنه وجده اختفى من بين يديهِ فجأة وكأنه تبخر، وعندما نظر إلى مكانه وجد يوسف يحمله وقد ابتعد مسافة جيدة. قال يوسف وهو ينظر إلى جايا:

- ماذا أفعل؟!

أدرك جايا جيدًا أن البلورة لن تقع في يده في هذه الحالة أبدًا وأن الإينيكس سيأخذونها قبله فصرخ فيه قائلاً:

- أهرب بأقصى سرعتك.

نظر ياسين إلى يوسف ورآه يرتدي نفس بذلة عمر فقال بحيرة وهو يحاول أن يتحرر من بين قبضته:

- من أنتَ؟

ركض يوسف بسرعة البرق بين الأشجار فانفتحت عشرات البوابات في الهواء وخرج الإينيكس وجلاديوس يحاولون الإمساك به ولكنهُ كان يقفز ويناور بمهارة وهو يحمل ياسين الذي لاحظ هجوم الإينيكس عليهم فعلم أن الوضع لا يُبشر بالخير فمكث كما هو بين يدي يوسف.

أستطاع يوسف أن يهرب بعيدًا بسرعة تفوق سرعة الإينيكس وجلاديوس فقال جلاديوس بحنقٍ:

- هؤلاء الأوغاد، أعطيناهم هذه القدرات ليستعملوها ضدنا!

التف جلاديوس ونظر إلى جايا بحقدٍ وطلب من ميلكون أن يتبع يوسف فشغل ميلكون محركاته وحلق في الهواء وراء يوسف.

ركض جلاديوس والإينيكس نحو جايا وركض بدوره ناحيتهم فهاجمهم جايا بالنار أولاً، ففتح جلاديوس بوابة وعكسها عليه فأخرج الماء وأطفأها وسرعان وما رأى سيوف مارجوث المُزعجة تُهاجمه فقفز يمينًا ويسارًا وتجنبها، فوجد دراجوث يخرج من أحد البوابات لينقض عليه فأمسك جايا بيدهِ وصرعه أرضًا وأحاط الصخور به وجعل الأرض تبلعه، وعندها وجد فالار تقتلع الأشجار وترفعها في الهواء وتشحذها حتى صارت مدببة كالنصال وقذفت العشرات منها ناحيته فنظر جايا خلفه فوجد سيوف مارجوث تُهاجمه من الخلف وشعر أنه قد حوصر، فأحاط نفسه بقبة من الصخور ودعمها بالمزيد من الصخور فاخترقت السيوف والأشجار المُدببة القبة ولكن جايا لم يكن بالداخل، وفجأة امتلأت الساحة بالضباب مُجددًا فتوجس الإينيكس ونظروا حولهم، وخرج دراجوث من تحت الأرض بصعوبةٍ وهو ينفث التراب من فيّه، وفجأة خرج جايا من خلف مارجوث ولكمه في معدته بقوة فأطاح به بعيدًا ولكن سيوفه هاجمت المُعتدي فتحاشاها جايا بعسرٍ ولكنه انجرح عدة جروح في جسده فخرج جلاديوس من أمامه ولكمه عدة لكمات في وجهه وعندما أراد جايا أن يرد عليه تراجع جلاديوس إلى الوراء واختفى داخل أحد البوابات، وفي نفس اللحظة ظهر مرة أخرى من وراء جايا وركله أرضًا فوثب جايا فورًا ليجد لكمة قوية في وجهه من دراجوث كادت لتهشم جمجمته لولا صلابته، فتراجع جايا ونزف وجهه فخرج جلاديوس من خلفه وأمسكه وثبته وأنطلق دراجوث نحوه ليلكمه ولكن شجرة كبيرة خرجت من تحت الأرض وحملت جايا وجلاديوس إلى السماء، فمال جايا بجسده وضرب جلاديوس بكوعه حتى تحرر من قبضته، ولكنه سرعان ما وجد فالار تُرسل عليه دُفعات من الصخور والأشجار فقفز من فوق الشجرة فوجد بوابة قد انفتحت أسفله فهوى داخلها وخرج منها ليجد ضربة من دراجوث في معدته تلاها خروج أحد سيوف مارجوث من تحت الأرض ليطعن قدمه فتألم جايا، ونزع السيف من قدمه وألتف ليهرب فوجد جلاديوس قد أمسك بأحد سيوف مارجوث وطعن جايا في صدره، فبصق الدماء على السيف ونظر إلى عين جلاديوس الحقودة بغضبٍ عارم وحزنٍ دائم وهمس قائلاً:

- لم ينتهي الأمر بعد... سيثور غيري ولن يستسلموا أبدًا حتى يستعيدوا أمجاد اللونيكس ويحرروا الكون من هذا الوباء الذي تفشى فيه... فالحق لن يموت في وجودي أو من بعدي لأنه كالضوء الذي كلما حاولت أن تطفأه أنتشر أكثر.
