Lord of Cosmos

Chapter 103: Evolved Or Modified?

The soldiers turned their eyes to the rest of the place. They hadn't noticed how strange it was because the water had captured their attention. They saw that it was a path extending in a straight line, and on its sides were glowing white cubes floating in the air without any intervention, illuminating the path. Their light reflected on the water, creating a breathtakingly beautiful scene that dazzled the eyes. And above them, the sky was not like the sky.

It seemed close and strange. It was a mixture of red, blue, and yellow, blended and united, as if it were a painting on a ceiling.

Akira lost his composure. "What is the meaning of this?"

Keno replied, examining the place with his eye, his heart caught in his throat, "I really don't understand, but it seems we are inside some kind of tunnel, and this tunnel leads to another place. But it is truly strange."

"It's the strangest thing I've ever seen in my life. And the strangest thing is that it doesn't look like a tunnel, but it looks like we are on a path with the sky above us."

"I have analyzed some of the materials here, and most of them are unknown! But we will not waste our time here. We must move now."

Keno began to move, and the battalion followed him, filled with curiosity, astonishment, and fear all at once. They began to examine every inch of the place with their eyes. Some of them thought they were in a strange dream and would soon wake up from it. After a few minutes, they saw a strong beam of light at the end of the road.

"Just as I expected," Keno said in a triumphant tone. "It's some kind of tunnel, and this must be its end."

The soldiers advanced, their steps quickening in anticipation and curiosity to see what lay beyond this strange tunnel. They rushed out of the tunnel one after another, closing their eyes from the force and intensity of the sun's rays. Then they opened them slowly until their eyes got used to the light. Yousef looked around, examining the place, and gasped loudly at what he saw.

Akira stepped back to give Yousef a better view. Yousef's jaw dropped, and he stood stunned, unable to move. He felt like a leaf in the wind.

The scene before them gave the impression that they were in another world. This could not be the same planet they had been used to for years. It was as if a dimensional portal had opened and pulled another world to them, or pulled them into another world.

They were standing on what seemed to be a large plateau, with the world below them. Below and in front of them was a large plain of green grass. There was a stream of water coming out of the ground to form an arch over the road, then descending again to the other side. There were many arches of water covering the road in a straight line, like a tunnel of water. Around them were unknown trees of strange colors, and beyond the strange road was a vibrant forest of many breathtaking colors, including red, yellow, green, blue, purple, and some other colors. And beyond the forest, there was something that looked like a very distant city that they could not make out well. Some thought that this distant city, which looked like a distant mirage, might be the headquarters of the machines, a city they had built to create their own world, away from the oppression of humans and their endless greed. The city seemed to be surrounded by a thick fog that enveloped it from all directions, but they could not see it well because of its distance from their eyes. Keno tried to zoom in on the image a little, but he still could not see it well. He began to examine the place carefully, and his senses were sharpened to a great extent, especially since a strange idea was jumping inside his mind from time to time.

The strange world around them shook their very being with its strangeness. Was it really possible that the planet had changed this much in two years? Had the machines reached a degree of development and progress that allowed them to change the properties of the planet to conform to their vision of the world? And to help them extend their control over the planet by uncovering the hidden secrets of our planet that human scientists had not been able to discover? But these questions had no answers at the moment. Keno decided to continue his mission to discover more and to explore the depths of the changed planet. He was still puzzled as to whether this passage was an illusion or a gateway that had transported them to another world, and whether it was possible that there was a type of machine that had come from another world and given intelligence to the other machines so that they would rebel. These thoughts kept hitting his mind without stopping. He decided to put an end to them and continue his journey, perhaps he would find answers to them.

Keno grumbled firmly as he tried to stop the objections and the fear that had overcome the soldiers. "Stop this nonsense now! We will continue the mission. I'm starting to doubt the machines even exist here! So don't be afraid. Be quiet for a while and get ready to move."

The soldiers began to move in an orderly fashion, signs of fear and protest evident in their features hidden behind their helmets. They walked to the end of the plateau, and the road began to slope downward. They began to descend slowly and cautiously amidst some light, strangely shaped trees, until they reached the strange plain. From a distance, they saw something moving. Keno ordered them to stop and began to zoom in on this strange creature. He found a creature that resembled a bull, predominantly blue in color. It had a line of red hair running from its head to the end of its back, and it had four very large horns. There was thick red hair at the bottom of its feet and the end of its tail. This strange bull went to the flying stream of water and began to quench its thirst, not paying attention to the strange looks of the soldiers who were staring at it.

"It looks a lot like a bull, but it's strange," Keno said in a calm tone. "It's not like any bull we've seen. Maybe it was a bull that adapted to these changes in the world, so some of its characteristics changed to become like this. But this is somewhat reassuring. The animals have started to appear."

One of the soldiers said in a panic, "What do we do now, sir?"
