"Please close your eyes; we are about to enter the Abyss!"
From a special room in the academy, the students boarded the "flight" to the Otherworld, and suddenly their vision blurred.
Upon reopening their eyes.
They found themselves in a tribe on a wall, in a simple Wizard Tower.
Below was an endless ocean, with a rope ladder climbing down, like cave dwellers living on a cliff.
The creatures of this world were incredibly fast.
Boom.
The vast, magnificent, expansive, clear ocean lay before them.
Various gigantic, vast mythical sea creatures were swimming beneath the sea.
In the sky, a majestic, hideous black dragon on the hunt was gliding over the sea.
Crash.
The Giant Dragon plunged straight into the sea and emerged with some fish in its mouth, continuing to soar.
"It's so cold."
"It's so cold."
They stood by the tower's window, shivering as they watched outside, wearing only simple undergarments.
"As a Wizard apprentice, can't you even endure this cold? Be careful."
Wadon and the others, wrapped in the only fur coats available in the tribe, said:
"Your descended bodies here belong to the Extraordinary Race, but your true selves are ordinary people. Your consciousness speed and physical reaction speed can't match this world's Extraordinary Race; you're about ten times slower."
"Most things here are extremely deadly for you."
"Now, we will exchange some basic witchcraft materials for you to study."
With these words, the four Wizard apprentices, including Asor, shrank into their bodies, curiously observing as they traversed the Otherworld for the first time.
This simple tower and the residential houses around it were the base for their tribe, and the situation was quite dire.
The vast blue ocean, with tribes on the distant walls like bird nests, the floating wood in the ocean indicated sea-floating island tribes.
The Abyss City lay at the seafloor, but mostly in ruins.
Because it was so large, the massive coffin embedded in the Crystal Wall was very clear, and inside was a translucent figure holding a giant sword, vast beyond measure.
"Is that the Holy Hall Martial God, the fierce ancient figure from the last world-ending Abyss, the Ancient God Tukashi?" The group felt it was identical to scenes from movies.
"Let's go, descend the tower, and gather materials, based on the feedback from the think tank, I think we should create a Giant Exoskeleton."
Wadon said, "An Alchemy Demonized Exoskeleton Armor is quite excellent; even fully automatic combat driving would be beneficial to someone like me who is not adept at fighting."
The few students nodded.
Inwardly they mocked, this old man's indeed reliant on external aids; he'd never be able to outfight those ferocious Abyssal brutes normally.
They descended the tower, their eyes never straying from the surrounding environment, like newborns curiously observing the world.
"So, you seek me out, is it to build a reactor?" Asor inquired, being an expert in this area.
"That's a thought; the Abyss World is too dangerous, and lacking a bit of military force isn't feasible." Wadon answered frankly.
A few people's lips twitched slightly.
We are at the Wizard Academy, and the Abyss is a Western Fantasy Mythological world—can we not indulge in such high-tech gimmicks??
Nuclear pacify the Abyss?
Do you want to become the Monarch Emperor who possesses nuclear peace?
Even holding nuclear weapons, are you going to declare war on the remaining Gods above? Or break beyond the Crystal Wall?
But upon careful thought, it made sense.
Any ordinary person traversing to the Otherworld, given conducive conditions and a sound mind, wouldn't they start up gunpowder, firearms, airplanes, tanks?
Caliber is justice, range is truth.
It's just that here, there's no metal; instead, they have to substitute with bones, the precise life of mechanical skeletons.
"However, there isn't any suitable nuclear material here, but trying out something new isn't an issue."
Wadon added, "Even creating a new energy source is quite good; I remember before, Elis left a blueprint for a power furnace located at the lower abdomen, to create a casting power source."
The group pondered.
If they established the Super Energy Power Furnace, churning out thousands, tens of thousands of spells, super endurance, then no matter how crude the technology, it could suppress the entire era.
Soon they became scavengers, encountering wild beast attacks, witnessing many marine creatures and algae, which began to breathe life, with ruins overgrown with greenery.
Everything was so wonderful.
Interesting lives, magical environments, full of marvels.
After witnessing the Skeleton Mage and various wondrous creatures, they picked out some skeleton frames, some Magic Oil Trees, assorted bits and pieces of materials, with a tally of over two hundred Contribution Points.
It caused Wadon a pang of heartache.
He always exchanged contributions for technology at the academy; recently, the expenses were too high, and the income too little.
After observing for a while longer, they soon concluded this brief journey.
Reopening eyes in the academy.
"Where are the things?"
Asor excitedly exclaimed upon awakening, "Have the things we scavengers collected been transported yet?"
The little elf assistant replied, "They're at the Gate of Truth built by the Sylph Academy Director in the depths of the academy; they'll be transported over soon."
After anxiously waiting for several hours, they finally received the information and quickly headed towards the Gate of Truth.
Sure enough, they saw all sorts of materials inside, one skeleton bone after another, various resources, enlarged under the supercomputer abilities of the Giant God Naga of the Sylph.
"Ah, it really has been transported from the Otherworld."
The four students were instantly elated.
This was simply amazing.
"Is this real, is it real??"
Asor shouted joyfully, "It's all true, it really appeared in reality!"
"Mmh!"
Kardashian couldn't help but pick up a black skeleton leg bone, her full and tender red lips giving it a hard kiss, "Ah! The skeletons from the Abyss World have a stinky bug smell!"
"Everyone move aside, move aside! Let me test the hardness of the skeleton!"
Although chubby Henderson looked like an autistic person, he was quite brave, immediately grabbing an invaluable skeleton bone and placing it on a hydraulic press.
Asor was startled and hurriedly used his wizard staff to push away the skeleton bone placed on the hydraulic press: "You fool! Don't crush it; otherwise, only the hydraulic press will be left in the room, this is precious material for us wizard apprentices."
They were overjoyed.
Their three-year journey at the Wizard School, going to the Otherworld, hunting materials, returning to this Wizard Academy to study, pursue truth, exchange bloodlines, and become official wizards!
Right now, there are still few people, but if more people come in the future.
Then the scene here will surely be magnificent.
Various wizard apprentices would exchange ideas, study witchcraft, create various alchemy lives, and silently guard the development of the entire era in the shadows of Earth.
"Quick, quick, no more fussing! Take it to the lab for research, analyze it, we need to look at it under a microscope."
They were incredibly excited.
They packed all the materials into a large box, and several people dragged it outside, then pushed it all the way to the laboratory.
Even though they perceive time ten times slower than the natives here, the difference is not that significant, because the little elf assistant also assists with tenfold computational support.
Moreover, here, there are various modern metal devices, which the metal-resource-lacking wizards there cannot achieve.
In less than half a day.
They performed a minor biological experiment based on the legacy formulas left by former seniors of the Wizard Academy, involving fleshy modification and fusion.
"This is it! The 'Alchemy Synthesis of the Skeleton General' writes it just like that, I've studied it three times, and the wizard senior Aktao, who wrote the book, was really amazing, it's a pity he's dead."
"Stop fussing; let me do it, this is how the nerves are connected here."
"Where's the juice of the palm oil fruit? Where did you guys throw it? We need it for the marrow adhesive liquid to transition for the fusion!"
With a few people tinkering on the operating table, they created a proportional skeleton general draped in armor.
Click.
Click!
This over two-meter-tall skeleton general walked with great might, just standing there gave the feeling of a skeletal boss.
"Let me test its defensive power." Wadon, a half-elf elder, walked out slowly, holding a staff.
The wizard apprentices were delighted and quickly gathered around to see how the defense was? Was the skeleton general really tough enough?
The wizard elder Wadon took a deep breath, gently laid down his staff, and pulled out a gun.
Bam!
Bam!
Bam!
Several holes were made in the entire skeleton armor.
The large skeleton staggered back several steps but was gradually healing.
"Oh! That's so cool!"
"Incredible! Self-repairing bulletproof armor!"
The students, draped in witchcraft robes, shouted at the winter sky through the laboratory window, "In reality, we succeeded too! We made the real thing according to the formulas left by those before us!"
"It's true! The life forms of the Abyss have no rejection reactions, the Abyssal Gods created them for seamless assembly, limbs, bones, skin, freely assembled, gears, tracks... even the joints and nerves are well connected."
This is so exhilarating!
The study of wizards, is a special branch of biology.
Using the unique extraordinary life of the Otherworld for research and creation, it is a profound field of study.
"Don't worry, Master Wadon, we will surely do our best to help you! If our seniors can rule an Abyss Era, it will greatly benefit us, bringing glory to our Dark Night Elf Academy!"
They became more excited, eagerly studying other formulas.
