"Touk, are we the first in the office to use this thing?"
An Exorcist, holding a dark-golden, hollow metallic sphere the size of a soccer ball, gestured to the bald man pulling on his gauntlets.
Before Touk could even open his mouth, another brown-haired man beside him, holding a similar metal sphere, answered for him.
"Of course, our squad is always first!"
"Alright, you guys hurry up and get ready! Samor, guiding 'Eye of the Sky No. 2' is on you. Don't screw it up!"
"Don't worry! I've practiced with this thing countless times!" Samor, holding a dark-golden sphere the size of a fist, replied without even lifting his head.
"Just go in and be good bait, Touk! After this mission, we'll be Sixth Level Exorcists too!"
The others checked that their metal spheres were functioning normally. Then, with a wave to the chattering, bald strongman, they dispersed around the villa.
"You lot!"
The bald strongman shook his head. He looked at the villa before them, then brought his gloved hands together. A glint flashed in his eyes.
"Then it's up to us. Let's go!"
After signaling to the two men beside him, he took the lead, walking towards the villa's main entrance.
Outside the villa, three Exorcists holding soccer-ball-sized metallic spheres had formed a triangle, surrounding the structure.
As they took their positions, Spiritual Power from their bodies poured into the dark-golden spheres in their hands.
The metal spheres slowly levitated into mid-air; on their hollow outer surfaces, glowing runes slowly materialized.
In moments, the dark-golden metallic spheres floated in mid-air like full moons.
"OK!"
Samor, positioned outside the villa, saw the array nodes were active and began his part.
As his Spiritual Power coursed into the fist-sized metal sphere in his hand, the gleaming crystal on its surface instantly bloomed with a hazy light.
The next second, as if a switch had been flipped, three thin beams of light suddenly shot towards the three 'moons' in the sky.
An intricate connection seemed to form, and the light pulsating from the three 'moons' and Samor's sphere began to slowly synchronize.
Inside the villa, Touk and his two companions, having just entered through the main gate, frowned at the sight of uncleared bloodstains and corpses.
"Who knows why these Bizarre are so interested in this price-gouging asshole?"
They'd killed too many Bizarre over the years to count, but they had never encountered a situation like today.
Encountering even one Bizarre in an ordinary home was considered terrible luck!
But this—several Bizarre attacking a single home simultaneously—was unprecedented.
"Maybe Bizarre have a taste for these damned capitalists..." the Exorcist beside him retorted, a corner of his mouth twitching.
"We'd better deal with these corpses, lest the Bizarre use them."
"To be safe, you're absolutely right!"
His companion shrugged, produced several metal discs from somewhere, and tossed them onto the bodies.
"When we leave, if someone has time, remember to collect these for me; they're not cheap!"
"Tch, aren't those just a few Saint Benedict Exorcism Medals? For such a high price, The Holy See really knows how to do business!"
"..."
Touk had no time for his teammates' banter. He was busy comparing the villa's layout map in his hands with their surroundings.
"That's right, this is it!"
Looking at the blank wall next to the fireplace ahead, he cross-referenced it with the map in his hand once more and finally nodded.
"Found the spot. Follow me!"
After calling to his two teammates, he walked directly to the wall.
After fumbling on the nearby mantelpiece for a moment, his furrowed brow suddenly relaxed. With a swipe of his finger, a brown stone slid aside.
Beneath the stone was a hollow, and hanging within it was a pitch-black chain.
"Oh~ such an ingenious design! Let me..."
His teammate, right behind him, grinned at the ingenious mechanism and grabbed the chain.
CLANK! CLANK! As he pulled, the chain rattled loudly.
A moment later, the three of them stared at the cleanly snapped chain, their eyes wide with shock.
All three of them cursed, "Fuck!"
"Is there another entrance?" Tossing the useless length of chain aside, the team member looked hopefully at Touk, who held the blueprints.
"Of course!" Touk shrugged and put away the blueprints.
He then moved to stand before the blank wall.
Seeing Touk's actions, his teammate seemed to realize something. He backed away slowly, asking in shock, "Is *this* the other entrance you mentioned?"
Touk, having already gathered his power, didn't respond verbally. His actions spoke for him.
BOOM!
His punch blasted a large hole through the steel door disguised as a wall.
Casually widening the hole with his hands, Touk turned back, grinning.
"Isn't this faster?"
"Well, I guess you're right!"
Watching the black mist slowly seep from the hole, the three tensed, instantly on guard.
"Be careful!"
With that warning, Touk wrenched the mangled steel door free, tossed it aside, and led the way down.
Following the spiral staircase downwards, the black mist grew increasingly dense.
The increasingly potent aura of the Bizarre made them grip their weapons tighter.
"Looks like we're dealing with a really nasty one!"
Touk glanced at the Warning Crystal on his neck; it was gradually losing its effectiveness. He gave a wry smile.
"I told you, it's an Evil Spirit! What good is that busted thing now?"
His companion, looking somewhat exasperated, took out a Saint Benedict Exorcism Medal and tossed it to Touk.
"Remember, if it turns red and gets hot, that means a Bizarre is about to 'kiss' you!"
"Damn it, Bayue, how many of those medals did you buy? Did The Holy See give you a VIP membership or something?"
"If it saves me some money, I wouldn't mind!" Bayue rubbed his neck, then showed the three medals he had to Touk and Buck.
"..."
Seeing Bayue flaunting his three medals, Touk and Buck were rendered speechless.
The three descended slowly, soon reaching a corner. The floor beneath them was so thickly shrouded in black mist that it was difficult to see.
Turning the corner, a spacious area suddenly unfolded before their eyes.
On the black mist-covered floor of the basement, they could vaguely make out the shapes of severed limbs.
"That must be Ross Mancini's special room!"
Gazing at the metal-clad walls not far off, the three exchanged glances.
Since they'd found the location, the Evil Spirit-level Bizarre had to be here too.
