Warhammer Divine Throne

Chapter 110 True Selflessness_3

The Emperor, the great Master of Humans, wants to give his beloved son a little gift.

A pristine orb of light emerged from the father's hand, shooting directly into Laine's forehead. Vast knowledge and the supreme techniques of spiritual energy utilization were imprinted into Laine's mind. This was the Emperor's gift, his favoritism towards his beloved son.

Laine knew how precious this was, knowledge that many Genetic Primarchs sought after in vain was now handed to him so effortlessly. He didn't know what to say, so he could only murmur, "Father, I..."

"The Imperial Guard coming to support you is already on their way." The Emperor said in a deep voice, "Since the Net Gate cannot transport large armies, and because your identity must remain absolutely secret, I have only dispatched four Imperial Guard Terminators. They will arrive here shortly."

"I am the sharp sword in your hand, Father, wield me as you wish!" Laine stood up; though his height was far less than the Emperor's, the determination he displayed was in no way inferior to that of his father.

The fist of the Grey Knight Primarch met the fist of the Master of Humans, "Let us face this together."

......

When Laine emerged from the mine, it was already the morning of the second day.

Alfred relaxed upon seeing him come out, "Laine, you finally emerged. I was discussing with Estelle that if you hadn't come out by noon, we would go down to find you!"

Laine shook his head and did not speak, finally drawing attention to the skeleton he was carrying on his back.

"This is..." Estelle stood up, the sharp-eyed Half-Elf already knowing what Laine was carrying.

"You all go out; I wish to offer the final tribute to the White Wolf Paladin, Lord Logan Flints." Laine laid down the skeleton, gesturing for everyone to leave.

Though he had become the Divine Chosen of the Lake Fairy, in principle Laine was still a White Wolf Knight. His actions were consistent with his identity. Alfred and Estelle both sighed and exited the room one after the other.

Laine remained alone in the room. First, he took out the White Wolf Holy Oil and applied it to the skeleton. He then took out wolf skin and fangs, offering the final ode to this ill-fated White Wolf Paladin.

Using the secret technique left by his father, he awakened a fragment of the soul within Logan Flints' skeleton, allowing the memories of the White Wolf Paladin to unfurl before Laine.

From birth, Logan Flints was baptized at seven, became a Ranger Knight at fifteen, a White Wolf Knight at twenty-six, and a White Wolf Paladin at forty-five. After the Great Holy War, the once solitary Head of the White Wolf Knight Order traveled across half of the Continent, reaching as far as the southern wastelands and the eastern Dark Realm.

Ultimately, fifty years ago, Logan Flints arrived in Marinburg. By chance, he came to the Deep Mine District and discovered this Ancient Saint Altar. However, he attempted to forcibly open the altar using brute force, resulting in a counterattack from the altar's defense mechanism. Injured grievously, he was eventually besieged and killed by the Dogman Tribe.

Wait a minute! After seeing Logan's memories, Laine suddenly felt something was amiss, yet he couldn't quite pinpoint it.

What exactly was wrong?

Laine pondered for a while and suddenly recalled what was wrong.

It was the time! The time was wrong!

The mysterious White Wolf Knight he saw on the High Mountain Fortress of the Nordeska Mountain aiding the fortress garrison was an event from sixteen or seventeen years ago!

But Logan Flints had already died fifty years ago!

That mysterious White Wolf Knight was not Logan Flints at all!

Then who was he?!
