He Became A Monstrous Genius After Obtaining A Time Dilation Artifact

Chapter 390. Surreal

AGGLOMERATE!

Obsidian shadow energy loomed across the expanse, ephemeral — fwssh…

Then, from the corpses, rose shadow creatures.

Tens.

Twenties.

Fifties.

The numbers kept increasing!

Hundreds.

More!

A thousand.

Finally!

Two thousand — thrum!

"Well, would you look at that." The time dilation artifact hovered around Kailen, observing the sight with a proud expression.

What was coming was something extremely daunting — this was one of the reasons why she had included the shadow affinity in the affinities this kid would come to possess.

There was a reason why she had given him an affinity that would make him a one-man army, and tip the scales of power.

It seemed this kid would not disappoint her!

Kailen chuckled at the words of the Time Dilation Artifact.

"It seems you are proud of me."

The time dilation artifact rolled her eyes. "You are still too weak in the grand scheme of things."

Kailen shook his head and ignored her.

Of course he knew that, and he didn't feel offended at her words.

It was just that he knew she said that on purpose, just to sting his ego.

This Time Dilation Artifact always found a way to humiliate him.

Sigh…

Kailen's gaze traced back to the shadow creatures.

They stood like a trained army, all radiating auras of rank 1 beginner stage galactic-level lifeforms.

Some were ginormous beasts Kailen had killed; others were humanoid-looking creatures, formed from the corpses of several sentient humanoid creatures Kailen had killed — including Bryce Darkhaven, Tyrax Tantamount, Riba Harker, amongst several society members Kailen had massacred during the society wars and others.

Kailen stood before them like a general.

He felt extremely surreal.

He was a one-man army.

Talking of the fact that his shadow creatures could not die, as long as he remained alive!

He literally had an army of creatures that neither grew tired nor hungry, at his beck and call!

Think of all the runesmithery he could teach them!

The alchemy he could impart to them!

The battles he could utilize them to win!

The absurd scaling of power he could gain!

The moment the shadow creatures saw him — they knew it.

He was their master!

Their Lord!

Their source of life!

Absolute loyalty!

Absolute pride!

Absolute duty!

They bowed! shkkk! Extreme fanaticism and loyalty displayed in their eyes!

"We greet the Lord!"

As soon as they bowed, Kailen nodded.

"Rise, and assume humanoid forms, those of you in your actual forms."

"As you wish, Lord!"

The moment Kailen spoke, they rose.

The towering monstrosities, including the turtle-like creature Kailen had slaughtered during the society wars, assumed humanoid forms, standing before Kailen.

Kailen summoned Everfrost and company from the shadow expanse.

Feral, the senpai of all the shadow creatures, stood before them in her humanoid form, radiating an aura of pure indomitable might.

Vengeful, Avarice and the others stared at her and snorted, jealous that she had been created before them.

Kailen, naturally, knew their thoughts.

He shook his head, finding their drama funny. "These guys are really dramatic. Is this what sibling rivalry looks like? They are jealous of her?"

Quickly, Feral, EverFrost and company bowed before Kailen.

"My Lord."

Kailen nodded. "Rise."

After that, he addressed the shadow creatures.

"These are your seniors; pay them the necessary respect. This is the senior sister of all of you — Feral."

When Kailen said this, Feral, EverFrost, Vengeful, Avarice, Phantom and Menace and the other shadow creatures who had been with Kailen for an extremely long time had extreme pride etched on their faces.

As for Feral, she couldn't help but grin from ear to ear.

She had never been more satisfied.

Before she became a servant of the Lord, she had been a mere predator without any sense of purpose.

But now, she was the senior sister of all her master's subjects.

"My Lord, I do not deserve this honor."

Without any reservations, Feral bowed to Kailen, with extreme gratitude flowing through her voice.

"I simply stated the truth, Feral. It is not flattery."

Feral didn't want to disrespect the Lord.

Therefore, she simply nodded respectfully and stood up.

She won't disappoint him!

Vengeful and the other shadow creatures stared at Feral, and couldn't help thinking she was shameless.

She was acting all humble here and there.

However, had the master said another one of them was the senpai of the shadow creatures, she would have probably cried herself to sleep.

Kailen ignored their dramatic thoughts, finding it funny.

Anyway, his eyes traced back to the newly created shadow creatures.

His eyes traced back to Bryce Darkhaven's shadow creature.

"You, come."

The shadow creature's figure flashed — shfft! — and appeared before him.

"My Lord."

If someone saw this, they'd be extremely shocked.

Unlike Bryce Darkhaven, the creature spoke with extreme devotion and commitment to Kailen.

Kailen was not surprised because he knew this was the effect of shadow necromancy.

Even enemies that hated him the most would obtain this innate and extreme devotion to him when they became his shadow creatures.

As far as Kailen was concerned, he had killed Bryce and co in the society wars, and their shadow creature versions were new creatures he had formed.

Bryce and company were dead. The Bryce before him was not even the actual body of Bryce.

The corpse of Bryce was still lying somewhere in the forest.

This was simply a shadow creature, created from the essence of Bryce Darkhaven, with Bryce Darkhaven's memories.

Kailen had come to this level of understanding concerning creating shadow creatures out of the dead bodies of enemies he hated strongly, that he had killed.

Of course, that didn't change the fact that if he felt like there were enemies he felt like completely erasing on a whim, without even giving them the chance to become his shadow creatures, he would hesitate.

Kailen snapped out of his thoughts.

Kailen stared at the shadow creature, and simply commanded:

"Transfer your memories to me."

"As you wish, my Lord."

The shadow creature of Bryce did as he was commanded, transferring all the memories of Bryce to Kailen.

A glint of realization suddenly flashed in Kailen's dark eyes.
