Chapter 126: Don't Leave me like this!

"Nishitha Smarana Mohana Madhuram" [Praying Night Sweet Sensation]

Mo Han's fingertips glowed faintly as he shifted into the new method he had been refining the past night. Instead of channeling his aura directly into the main points, he spread it in thin, vibrating threads that pulsed like ripples over Bai Gu's bare skin.

His hand hovered for a moment above her spine, then descended lightly, pressing with controlled precision into the meridian lines of her back.

Bai Gu's body tensed immediately. The moment his energy flowed into her, she clenched her jaw, her chest rising in a sharp breath. "Mmn…!" a husky sound escaped her throat before she could bite it down. She bit her lower lip hard, her knuckles turning white as she gripped the silk sheets beneath her.

"What's… what's this technique?" she demanded between shallow breaths, trying to keep the authority in her voice.

"A method to balance your scattered qi. Nothing more," Mo Han replied coldly, his eyes calm, though his aura wove through her body like invisible streams of fire and water, colliding just under her skin.

Her back arched against his touch. The control she usually wore like armor slipped in fragments. "Don't—don't toy with me… I…" Her words broke into a muffled moan as his finger pressed against a pressure point just beneath her shoulder blade. A rush of warmth traveled from the tip of her spine into her limbs, making her toes curl.

Outside the chamber, two of her servants shifted uneasily. One covered his ears with both hands, his face crimson. "Is… is she really…?" he whispered to the other.

"Shut up," the older servant muttered, though his own ears twitched at the sounds leaking through the door. The muffled cries of their proud young mistress had turned into trembling moans, each one edged with shame and hunger.

Inside, Bai Gu had lost the rhythm of her breath entirely. Her hair stuck to her damp temples, her proud gaze unfocused as if she were lost in waves of heat. She tried to form words, to reassert her dominance, but every time Mo Han's fingertips moved lower along her back, a helpless cry betrayed her.

Mo Han's expression remained like stone. This is what she wants—to pull me into her storm. But I am a healer. Not her plaything.

"Enough," he said, and suddenly pulled his hand away.

The sudden absence of his aura sent a shock through Bai Gu's body. She collapsed forward on her elbows, trembling, her breath ragged. Her lips parted in a needy whimper before she caught herself, biting down until she tasted blood.

"Why… why did you stop?" she demanded, her voice hoarse, her pride fractured. She turned her face toward him, her eyes shimmering with a mix of anger, humiliation, and a desperate hunger that stripped away her usual arrogance.

"You were about to cross the line," Mo Han said coldly. "I will not."

Her nails dug into the sheets. "You—!" She swallowed the words, her chest heaving. After a moment of hesitation, she reached into her storage ring and tossed a golden pouch at his feet. The metallic clink of spirit stones filled the room.

"Twenty thousand spirit stones," she said, her voice trembling between command and plea. "Take them. But finish what you started. I don't care what you call yourself—healer, cultivator, whatever. I need you."

Mo Han didn't bend to pick up the pouch. He stood silently, his arms folded behind his back, the cold light of his eyes making her squirm as if she were the one laid bare before judgment.

Her pride broke further under his silence. "If it's my body you want, then take it!" she cried, her voice breaking as she pushed herself off the bed. She staggered to her knees, silk robe slipping dangerously low as she leaned toward him. Her lips, usually proud and scornful, pressed against his jaw in a desperate, heated kiss.

For a heartbeat, the room froze—her body trembling against his, the faint scent of her perfume mixing with the sweat of her desire. Her servants outside stiffened as they heard a muffled thud and the rustle of silk.

Then, Mo Han's hand clamped firmly around her shoulder. With a single motion, he pushed her away, tossing her back onto the bed as though she weighed nothing.

Bai Gu gasped, stunned, her hair disheveled and her pride shattered. "You… you dare…" Her voice cracked, the usual arrogance gone.

Mo Han's gaze was colder than ice. "Your wealth, your beauty, your schemes—none of it is worth more than the dignity I set for myself. Remember this: I am not your slave. I am not your toy. If you seek me again, let it be for true healing, not indulgence."

He turned without another word, his robes swaying as he strode to the door. The servants outside scrambled back, their faces pale as he emerged, his expression unshaken.

Mo Han left without glancing back, leaving Bai Gu in her chamber, clutching the silk sheets with trembling fingers, her lips still tingling from the kiss she had tried to force upon him. The golden pouch of twenty thousand spirit stones remained untouched on the floor, a silent reminder of her failure.

The servants dared not meet their mistress's eyes as they shut the door behind Mo Han. But in the silence of that chamber, the echo of her moans still lingered, mocking her pride.

Mo Han's steps echoed down the polished marble corridor of the Bai clan's mansion. His robes fluttered in the draft of night wind that poured in through the tall windows. His back was straight, expression calm, but there was an edge to his stride—like a blade sheathed, yet sharp enough to draw blood at the faintest touch.

Behind him came the hurried sound of bare feet against the stone. "Mo Han!" Bai Gu's voice cracked in desperation, trembling and husky. She was chasing after him, her silk robe clinging loosely to her frame, the folds slipping dangerously low over her shoulders. Her hair was disheveled, lips swollen from the kiss she had tried to force earlier, her pride cast aside as she stumbled after him.

"Mo Han, wait—don't leave like this!"
