Hah, this is a really awkward situation. However, Aureas simply forced my hand on this.
"Did you have to put me through the wringer like this, Iori?" (S)
"I'm sorry, but this is the best I can manage for now. I think I already got a lot better." (I)
"Hah, I'll probably never get used to this." (S)
Yep, I am currently standing here, in my personal dimension, with my mum and a pissed-off god.
The former still needs a bit of time to get over the travel sickness. The latter quite clearly would like to throw us right out again. Wait, is that my gaming console on the bed?! And now he is hiding it beneath the sheets!
No... No, I need to keep a cool head. The situation is tense and maybe also a tiny bit ridiculous.
So, how did it come to this?
- Twenty minutes earlier -
"...You aren't my boss!" (A)
Did he seriously just say this? Is he aware of how much he looks like an unruly teenager right now? However, that would actually align with his current appearance. I was already quite surprised when I got here. Gone was the child I remember, and in its stead, I found a very young man, maybe slightly above my age. Okay, if I were to count the actual time passed this wouldn't quite work, but for the sake of my sanity, I don't. Which is probably why I couldn't help myself to make this association.
"Are you in puberty or something?" (I)
In hindsight, it shouldn't surprise that he didn't take that so well.
"I won't let you insult me any further! You have no power over me! I don't need you and don't need to listen to you!" (A)
I seriously have no idea how to de-escalate this. He's unruly and just won't listen. How the heck am I supposed to get him to act like an adult? I mean, just look at this room. It's a mess! And it's mine! Even he has to be aware that things can't go on like this.
"Listen, if you won't hear reason, you leave me no choice but to do something drastic!" (I)
"Are you threatening me?! I won't give in to you." (A)
"I'm not threatening you. I'm asking you to not let it come so far." (I)
Though what would I even do? I'm seriously at a loss here. He isn't going to listen to me. In fact, he's totally averse to my very presence. If I'd just be better at this. Or if someone better could just take this from me. Not Soraja, as I said before. Someone proficient, with experience regarding dealing with problem children with circumstances. Who would even come close to this kind of saintly capability? . . .
Am I seriously considering that?

"Get lost! I don't want you here!" (A)
... Okay, that's on him. He brought me that far. If he's behaving like an unruly teenager then I will bring the one person I know who can even make gods shake in fear.
"Fine, your choice." (I)
And with this, I hop back to my home on Earth. Of course, after reassuring myself tenfold that the time dilation isn't active anymore and Chiaki won't be left stranded here for years to come. Something I'm not quite sure how Soraja would react to. After a quick scan, I confirm Mum to be in the living room.
"Ah, Iori. You're already back?" (S)
"Hello, my little dreamer." (Chr)
"Ehm, hi Dad. Mum, there's something that came up, and I could really use your help with it." (I)
For a moment, Mum gets "this" look. You know the one that basically says "Oh god, what is it now again?". Not like I can blame her for thinking so. I may not be the easiest daughter to handle.
"Did something happen? Can I maybe help?" (Chr)
That's a big "No"! I probably couldn't even transport him with his nullification bubble.
"That's nice of you Dad, but sorry, I need Mum specifically." (I)
"Okay. As long as it's nothing serious." (Chr)
Uh, is reining in a god a serious matter? I probably should do my reality checks more regularly. I seem to be losing my sense of normality, as casual as I am going about this. Still, I think I really need Mum's help on this. It's a reasonable thing to ask for help if you're uncertain, right?
"Hah, alright. Lead the way." (S)
Glad that she thinks so too.
I lead her to my room and lock the door. Although, Dad probably wouldn't notice any ungodly sounds coming from here. But who knows?
"So what is it that came up? Please, don't tell me you for real broke our dimension and we now have to move to another one." (S)
Do I really make such an irresponsible impression? Scratch that, I don't want an answer.
"Uh, you see, do you remember when I told you about that god that I accidentally created in my dimension? The one where I also brought Chiaki's patron goddess to?" (I)
"Yes? You know, I'll be honest with you, those are the kinds of things that are a bit abstract when your daughter refers to them. Like when Chiaki talks about those video games. I still have no idea what "Last Quest" actually is about." (S)
"Right... You see, my first god, the one I originally created, his name is Aureas, by the way. There is a problem with him. Ehm..." (I)
"Iori." (S)
"Okay, he seems to be going through some kind of rebellious phase or so. He stopped doing his god thing with the People, who therefore might stop revering him and this could be bad for both sides, as his job is still somewhat significant." (I)
Actually, I'm not all that sure in this regard. The People managed before Aureas and would probably be able to do without him. Yet I don't want Aureas to vanish. Or that the People grow disappointed in him and start creating a third god to make up for this. In any case, it would be better if he were just able to return back to normal.
"Okay. I can see your problem. But how do I come into this?" (S)
"I, I need someone to talk reason into him. You are good at this. Please, don't make me beg you!" (I)
.
.
.
Why isn't Mum saying anything?
"Iori..." (S)
Nevermind!
"You seriously want me to scold literal gods in the world you created?" (S)
"Yes?" (I)
But when she puts it like this, I become unsure if this was really a good idea.
"This all only a day after you had two nervous breakdowns because things grew over your head. If you simply look at this from the outside, from a neutral position, without any context, are you aware of how ridiculous this sounds?" (S)
"I'm sorry. I just try to find the best solution for everyone, but everything is so difficult. I'm really not trying to always cause trouble, Mum. It just always seems to find me." (I)
"Which given the context is extremely concerning." (S)
She's right! Trouble always finds me. It might mostly be my fault, but just as Mum says, it's weird how few mundane days I'm having.
"I'll try to avoid trouble. But please, could you help me with this?" (I)
"Alright. What kind of mother would I be, were I not to support you? I just want you to think about things like self-induced trouble. So, how are we getting there?" (S)
"Uh, you remember..." (I)
"I certainly do. Sigh, I feared so. Then lead the way." (S)
Great! So I quickly swallow Mum, open a rift and teleport right back into Aureas', respectively my, room. Wait a moment! Is that my gaming console in his hands?!
"Grm-"
No, Iori, no time for that now. I need to bring Mum out. As quickly as I can, I open a portal and push her form through.
"Did you have to put me through the wringer like this, Iori?" (S)
Obviously, she needs a moment to settle herself from the disorientation, among other things.
"I'm sorry, but this is the best I can manage for now. I think I already got a lot better." (I)
"Hah, I'll probably never get used to this." (S)
While she's saying so, she does exactly this astonishingly fast and already manages to spot the god in the room. Not like this multicolored teenager on the bed would in any way be overlookable.
"Is that him?" (S)
"Yes, that is Aureas." (I)
She walks some steps up to him and slightly bows for a very formal greeting.
"Alright. I'm pleased to make your acquaintanceship. My name is Satomi Nomia. And I'm Iori's mother." (S)
Okay, so far so good. I'm sure this is gonna work out!
