"Stop, who are you?"
Lin Hai was about to step forward when two burly men at the door stopped him.
"I'm here to find someone."
"This is not the place for you to find people. Get out of here now, or face the consequences."
The two burly men frowned and scolded.
"What the heck? So overbearing?"
"I have something very important that I need to get inside for," Lin Hai said again.
"You are not qualified to enter here. Do you know what place this is? Skeleton Club!" The two men looked at Lin Hai's plain street vendor clothes, their eyes filled with disdain and scorn.
People coming and going from the Skeleton Club every day are either big shots or nobles. The two men, used to seeing such figures, believed that Lin Hai didn't qualify to enter.
"Skeleton Club, so what? Do you know who I'm looking for?" Lin Hai narrowed his eyes and said slowly.
"Hmph, no matter who you are looking for, you don't have the qualifications to enter the Skeleton Club, unless you have a VIP card," one of the burly men said with a cold snort.
Just as Lin Hai had figured, he came to find Bai Gu but couldn't even get through the door.
"Kid, scram quickly. Don't block the way here, or else I'll cripple you." The other burly man glared fiercely, losing patience as he scolded.
Lin Hai narrowed his eyes too, ready to teach these two watchmen a lesson on humanity.
Just then, a soft "huh" came from behind Lin Hai.
A woman's voice, naturally charming yet distantly aloof, a contradictory feeling.
Just from the voice, one could tell this woman must be pretty and with an exceptional demeanor.
Out of curiosity, Lin Hai turned his head and saw the person.
"It really is you," the woman spoke.
"Huh? Why is it you?" Lin Hai also widened his eyes, quite surprised.
The woman in front of him, dressed in a cheongsam, her exposed feet were very white, sacredly white, giving one an illusion of worshiping beneath her skirt.
What's more, Lin Hai had seen this woman before and even dined with her.
"Mr. Lin, what brings you here?" The woman approached with a smile.
"I'm also curious, Miss, how come you are at the Skeleton Club?" Lin Hai smiled and asked.
The person before him, indeed was Ouyang Xiaoya's senior, Tang Bingyan.
"Hehe, why do you also call me senior?" Tang Bingyan's red lips were captivating as she asked.
"Hehe, I guess any man would wish you to be their senior," Lin Hai chuckled.
The two burly men at the door were utterly baffled by this scene, wondering to themselves, "Does Miss Tang actually know this poor guy? Impossible! Absolutely impossible!"
"You're also here at the Skeleton Club?" Tang Bingyan asked curiously.
"Yeah, you come here too?"
"The beauty spa here isn't bad. I've been coming here often recently. How about you? I heard they also provide good massages for men, surely you're not secretly here for the male enhancement ones, right?"
"Damn!" Lin Hai almost snorted out blood. Tang Bingyan's tone was incredibly tempting while discussing this, and her alluring eyes kept glancing at his pants area. Could she be any more direct, obviously trying to seduce him?
"Don't just stand at the door, why don't you come in with me, senior?" Tang Bingyan said with a smile.
Lin Hai shrugged his shoulders and pointed at the burly man who had stopped him, saying, "Sadly, they won't let me in, saying I'm not qualified."
Tang Bingyan chuckled softly upon hearing his words, "No worries, if you're going in with me as your senior, nobody will question your qualifications."
"Really? Hey, bouncer buddy, is what my senior said true?" Lin Hai asked with a laugh.
The two bouncers glared furiously upon hearing themselves being called 'bouncers' in such a casual tone.
"Hmm?" Tang Bingyan snorted coldly, causing the two originally furious bouncers to wilt like frosted eggplants.
Not only was Miss Tang beautiful, but she also knew the big boss Bai Gu. They were just door guys and definitely couldn't afford to offend her.
"Damn it, just bear with it," the two bouncers grumbled internally.
Lin Hai swaggered through between the two men, looking incredibly smug, which infuriated the bouncers. They gritted their teeth in anger but were helpless due to Tang Bingyan's presence.
"Junior Lin, what exactly are you doing here?" Tang Bingyan said with familiar ease, and Lin Hai had somehow already become her junior.
Lin Hai was actually quite wary of this woman because, during a previous meal, Wei Luo mentioned he came from the Red-X company. Lin Hai's investigation revealed that it was actually the RX organization.
So, he didn't rule out the possibility that Tang Bingyan might also be from the RX organization. Although the probability was small, this woman came off as clever and shrewd, capable of stripping a man to his bones.
"Me? Ha-ha, I am actually here to see that little guy Bai Gu, planning to have a chat about life, and incidentally fire those two bouncers at the door who dared to look down on this junior," boasted Lin Hai.
The two bouncers outside overheard this and were so irritated that their teeth itched, thinking to themselves, "Someone as trashy as you meeting boss Bai Gu? And acting all high and mighty; you'd probably piss your pants if you actually met him."
"Hehe, junior, you're quite the comedian. Be careful, that guy Bai Gu, he's got a nasty temper," Tang Bingyan joked, obviously not believing Lin Hai's words.
"Alright, sister is going upstairs to get a beauty treatment, remember to miss me."
When they reached a staircase, Tang Bingyan finished her sentence and even threw Lin Hai a coquettish glance.
"Dammit, she's definitely a vixen." Lin Hai nearly got turned on by her seductive glance.
After wandering about for a while, Lin Hai felt dizzy; the Skeleton Club was opulent and spacious, and he was getting a bit lost.
"Excuse me, sir, may I help you?" a man in a black suit approached and offered help.
"Uh, I'm just wondering, where's Bai Gu?" Lin Hai asked directly.
The man in the suit's expression shifted. After a few words into his earpiece, he said to Lin Hai, "Sir, please follow me."
"Great, this place is really big, I've been looking around for that kid Bai Gu for ages."
The man in the suit remained expressionless and didn't waste words, just led Lin Hai upstairs.
Soon, Lin Hai was brought to a café within the club.
"Please wait here, boss Bai Gu will join you shortly," the man in the suit said, then promptly left.
Lin Hai found a seat and sat down, soaking in the western-style atmosphere and sunlight streaming through the windows, and gazing at the elegant coffee cups and saucers, he muttered, "Rich people's places, huh."
In the café, serene piano music began to play, enchanting and clearly the work of a master.
This was one of Mozart's piano pieces, remembered vaguely by Lin Hai as "The Responsibility of the First Messenger."
After the piano piece ended, Lin Hai couldn't help but clap his hands.
The pianist noticed Lin Hai.
Lin Hai also saw the other party, a very young man with pale skin and delicate, slender fingers giving off a frail look.
"Do you also know about piano?" the pianist asked with a hint of surprise.
"Heh, a bit," Lin Hai bragged.
"Oh? Didn't expect to meet someone who understands piano here, and so young too. Would you like to come up and play a piece?"
Now, Lin Hai felt the itch to play; he hadn't relied on his piano skills in the past to charm European aristocrats for nothing.
So, he stood up and walked over to the piano.
