Urban Ace Bodyguard

Chapter 479: Rescue Failure

The destroyed ground, corpses, blood, faint groans, and soft sobbing. A cold wind blew through, solidifying the chill at everyone's back.

The square was deathly silent. Only a few who had safely sought refuge in the surrounding teaching buildings were in a state of panic, waiting for the police to rescue them and praying that these villains wouldn't completely annihilate everyone.

"Damn bastards!"

With a swoosh, Queen Qi aimed her weapon at Lucifer's head.

Sensing the murderous intent, Lucifer immediately aimed both of his weapons at Queen Qi's position and without hesitation started to crazily open fire.

Bang—Qi Weiwei only had time to fire once before she had to think of a way to dodge.

Tilting her head, she pushed off the ground with her high heels, somersaulted, and took cover behind a wall. Bullets whizzed past, grazing the wall and leaving several bullet holes.

Lucifer slightly tilted his head, easily evading the bullets.

"So powerful!" Qi Weiwei was shocked. The opponent's casual move had almost put her in danger.

She wasn't strong enough to deal with an expert of this level.

In her range of knowledge, there was only one person whose strength might be greater than the assassin just now, and that was the mysterious masked man.

Unfortunately, she didn't have any way to contact the mysterious masked man.

Involuntarily, Qi Weiwei suddenly thought of Lin Hai, as it seemed he knew how to contact the mysterious masked man.

Thinking of how she and Lin Hai were now strangers, Qi Weiwei hesitated, not knowing whether to ask Lin Hai for help or not.

Another question arose: what was the purpose of these assassins?

Cao lay flat on the ground, carefully emerging from the dead bodies around him, inch by inch. He crawled to Queen Qi's feet, raised his head looking ragged and disheveled, not caring about the temptation hidden beneath his short skirt and black stockings. Swallowing his saliva, he said, "Sister Qi, quickly call for backup. I lost my phone."

After speaking, panic was visible across Cao's face. He gasped for breath and patted his chest, still in shock.

Nangong Wuyue saw Queen Qi and wanted to reach her. As she stood up, she noticed that Lucifer's firearm was coldly aimed at her head.

"Damn it, Teacher Nangong."

Just as Queen Qi aimed her weapon at Lucifer, he had already fired his weapon dozens of times, forcing her to retreat back behind the wall.

"Am I really going to die here?" Nangong Wuyue stood still, with tears welling up in her eyes.

"Police! Drop your weapon, hands on your head, squat down!" Two patrol officers who happened to be passing nearby arrived just in time, pointing their firearms at Lucifer's head. Their hands trembled slightly as sweat trickled down their foreheads from beneath their police caps.

Bang bang—

Without even looking at the two patrol officers, Lucifer raised his hand with dual firearms. The unfortunate officers fell to the ground, blood flowing from the holes in their foreheads.

While taking advantage of this moment, Nangong Wuyue finally ran to Qi Weiwei's side.

"They seem to be looking for Ruoshuang," Nangong Wuyue said, doing her best to control the tremors in her body.

"What? Ruoshuang? What do these villains want with Ruoshuang?" Qi Weiwei asked with confusion, her professional instinct making her extremely sensitive to these issues.

"I don't know either, but we need to find Ruoshuang quickly. I can't get through to her phone." Nangong Wuyue expressed her concern.

"Ruoshuang should be in the classroom. No one dares to come out from that teaching building right now. We just need to find a way to get past these assassins, and then we'll be able to safely reach the teaching building and find Ruoshuang," Queen Qi analyzed calmly.

Yet, Cao's eyes were darting around, assessing the current situation. Not far away was the perimeter wall. If he jumped out, he would be safe. However, Queen Qi intended to delve deeper into the dangerous territory.

Hesitating whether to split up or not, Queen Qi had already kicked open a door and said, "Follow me."

Cao felt helpless and could only speak to Teacher Nangong: "Comrade teacher, please go to the middle, I will cover our retreat. If assassins sneak attack from behind, I can hold them off first."

Queen Qi nodded slightly, thinking to herself, "Cao really has a good character, considering others even at such a critical moment."

In fact, Cao was thinking that if things went south, being at the very back, he could take advantage of the chaos to slip away, and the chances of escaping unscathed were very high, of course, he would never voice these thoughts.

The teaching building was unusually quiet, and after the crowd outside had dispersed, except for a few scattered sounds of weapons and explosions, there was no more movement.

The silence was oppressive, much like the darkest moment before dawn.

Queen Qi moved quickly forward, every corner she turned made her heart race with fear, but each time she found no one around and let out a sigh of relief.

This kind of tension could lead to significant physical and mental exhaustion, but there was no better option at the moment.

Finally, they arrived at the teaching building of the classroom where Ruoshuang was located.

Teacher Nangong nearly flew into the classroom, only to find that there were no students inside. The only person present was a tall figure in a black coat standing with their back to her at the lectern, and beneath the feet of the person in black lay a girl—it was none other than Ouyang Ruoshuang, seemingly unconscious.

"Martial God?" Teacher Nangong exclaimed with joy.

Qi Weiwei and Cao also arrived.

"King Yan?"

The person in the black coat slowly turned around, and the sound of a music box's wind chime emanated from the area around their heart.

Dingdong dingdong——

The expressions on Teacher Nangong's and Qi Weiwei's faces changed drastically as they recognized the person's face.

"It's not the Martial God!"

"It's not King Yan!"

The person in the black coat turned out to be Tianren Buer.

Hearing the words "King Yan" from Queen Qi, Tianren Buer's previously dull gaze instantly regained clarity.

"You just mentioned King Yan?" Tianren Buer's hand wavered as he pointed towards Queen Qi.

Biting her teeth, Queen Qi asked in a deep voice, "Who exactly are you?"

Before her words even finished, the wall behind the three exploded suddenly, creating a large hole. Lucifer, covered in blood with a sinister smile on his lips, and the cold King of Violent Flames entered, blocking Queen Qi and the others' escape route.

"Inform King Yan that the Ultimate Killing King from Japan is waiting to harvest his life," Tianren Buer said to Queen Qi.

Lucifer's eyes fixated on the behinds of Teacher Nangong and Queen Qi, his lips greedily licking.

However, when Lucifer saw Cao, he expressed disgust and spoke outright: "Just kill this man, but leave the two beauties for me to enjoy alone for a while."

Cao's face changed color upon hearing this.

Queen Qi whispered to Cao, "I'll attract their attention in a moment. You and Teacher Nangong go save Ruoshuang. Then I'll try to hold them off while you lead them to escape."

After speaking, Queen Qi suddenly opened fire at Lucifer and shouted, "Run!"

A scornful smile appeared on Lucifer's face: "Useless."

Cao also made his move, but it was towards Queen Qi, suddenly snatching the weapon from her hands.

"Cao, you..." Queen Qi's eyes showed a look of disbelief.

The three assassins were also momentarily stunned, clearly not expecting such an outcome.
