Dimensional Hotel

Chapter 110 Test

This is an incredibly interesting and incredible process.

Soil and rock were shaped according to one's own wishes, as large chunks of ruins and debris were gradually melted and devoured by the earth, like chocolate falling into hot milk. The distant farmland had already been outlined, and where the ruined temple once stood, a space as flat as if it had been leveled by a machine had swiftly taken shape.

Then, stones rose from the center of the cleared space, forming a large platform about a dozen centimeters above the ground.

Yu Sheng felt his connection with the valley growing tighter, and his control over it became more adept. He focused his mind, trying to refine the details of the platform and continuously increasing its strength and the "depth" of its roots in the ground.

The process was like becoming gradually accustomed to one's "limbs."

He planned to make this "valley" one of his bases. From the day he confirmed that the Exotic Realm was harmless, he wanted to do this—this place could allow him to farm, serve as a "testing ground" for Erin, let Hu Li run around and "cultivate," and in the future, if there were any projects not suitable for the outside, they could also be completed in this valley.

But he didn't expect the "construction" process to begin in such a way.

Hu Li's eyes widened, standing curiously beside Yu Sheng with Erin, full of admiration. After a long time, she suddenly sighed, "Savior is capable of being a Civil Engineering Immortal..."

"Turns out there's an Immortal for everything in your old home, huh?" Erin couldn't hold back any longer, she had been wanting to mock this, "Do you also have Stir-fry Immortals, Noodle Immortals, Beef Noodle Immortals over there?"

"That's generally called a Cooking Immortal," Hu Li rebutted seriously, "Having separate registrations would take up too many social resources, right? The Immortal Alliance would not approve."

Erin's face was filled with amazement: "...There really is a Cooking Immortal!"

Meanwhile, Yu Sheng had finally completed laying the foundation and had shaped a small shelter on one corner of the platform that could satisfy the need for shelter from wind and rain (though it seemed there was no wind or rain in the valley). He came over to Hu Li and Erin, curiously asking, "What are you two chatting about?"

The two simultaneously pointed at the demon fox girl: "Silly fox says you could become a Dusting Immortal."

"No, it's a Civil Engineering Immortal." Hu Li immediately corrected seriously.

Yu Sheng's mouth twitched at the moment, but he managed to suppress it and turned around to introduce his labor achievements to them: "Look, this place will be our second 'headquarters' outside of No. 66 Wutong Road. I have a grand building plan, planning to build a large structure based on the old ruined temple, the kind that looks majestic and mysterious like ancient civilization temples. This will be the headquarters of our 'travel agency' organization..."

"Three people taking over a city, huh? You really dare to plan," Erin unhesitatingly mocked, then somewhat curiously pointed to the grayish block by the edge of the platform that looked like a giant matchbox, "Is that a temporary toilet?"

Yu Sheng stood stiffly for a while, then spoke awkwardly after a moment, "…That's the first step of the building plan; you might consider it the first generation temple."

Erin: "..."

This was the first time that Beeper was at a loss for words.

Yu Sheng seized the opportunity to change the subject: "Just practicing, building from the most basic geometric shapes—let's not talk about this for now, let's attend to serious business, test the 'remote control distance' of your new body."

Erin was indeed immediately distracted, both puppets simultaneously looking up at Yu Sheng, "How to test? Do I start running in two directions now and see when the connection is lost?"

"With those short little legs of yours, how long would it take for you to run?" Yu Sheng glanced at Erin, then hurriedly picked up the puppet body (the main one) carrying the picture frame before she could get mad, and pointed to the other one, "Pair with Hu Li, run towards that direction, keep going until you reach the end of the valley. I'll carry your main body and directly open a Teleportation Gate to the 'Mountain Edge' we reached last time, to see what happens."

While speaking, Hu Li had already run forward ten meters, lying down on the ground, and amidst the swirling Immortal air and floating auspicious light, the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox as big as two vans emerged from the light and shadow, looking expectantly at Erin (secondary body) on the ground, "Erin! Come on, let's run together!"

Erin instantly recalled the experience of traversing the valley with this rocket-boosted supersonic fox last time, and her little face all scrunched up, "Can't we switch to a different plan..."

Yu Sheng immediately handed over the puppet carrying the picture frame to Hu Li, "Then switch, this one with Hu Li, you come with me."

Both puppets were momentarily stunned, then reacted at the same time, glaring at Yu Sheng in unison, "Aren't they both me?!"

In the meantime, Erin on the ground had already set off unsteadily towards Hu Li, mumbling as she walked, "Forget it, let this body go with the silly fox, at least this body's sensations are relatively dull, might not react as much."

Hu Li placed one of her tails on the ground, watching Erin awkwardly climb onto her back along the tail, and reminded her, "Sit towards the back, hold onto the fur, don't fall off when we start accelerating."

Erin carefully grabbed a tuft of fluffy fur on Hu Li's back while negotiating, "Can you go a bit slower later, don't take off straight away like last time..."

Hu Li nodded her head repeatedly without waiting for the puppet to finish, "Mhm, don't worry, my acceleration curve is really good!"

She clearly hadn't really listened to what the puppet was saying, with only the joy of frolicking left in her mind, several big tails swishing back and forth behind her, kicking up dust...

Then she turned around and jogged a few steps toward the direction Yu Sheng had just pointed out, starting to pick up speed.

With Erin's scream resounding and rapidly fading, the huge demon fox roared and flew out...

Hu Li's Fox Fire even produced a Mach ring behind her tail.

"Being well-fed really makes a difference."

From a distance, as Yu Sheng watched Hu Li speed across the valley floor, listening to the continuous roar like thunder, he couldn't help but exclaim.

Then he heard Erin on his shoulder starting to complain loudly: "I shouldn't have believed her about going slow! I feel like I'm about to fall apart!"

"No worries, if you really fall apart, I'll glue you back together," Yu Sheng grinned and casually opened the gate that led to the other side of the valley, "Come on, let's go wait there."

The rocket-boosted supersonic fox ran fast, but even that could not outspeed Yu Sheng's teleportation.

When Yu Sheng, carrying Erin, arrived at the edge of the mountain range, Hu Li and the other Erin were still midway.

Looking down from the mountaintop, one could see a beautiful silver-white shadow sweeping through the valley like a gust of wind. The deep blue Fox Fire had gathered into a long tail flame in the fierce emission, propelling the giant demon fox toward the mountains at the far end, with the explosive jet flames kicking up dust and stones along the way, providing a spectacular view.

"...I suspect she could really fly with those tails' boost, not just this low-altitude flight, but actually flying high up in the sky," Yu Sheng muttered as he stroked his chin.

A moment later, Erin suddenly leaned close to his ear and shouted, "Silly fox said she really can!"

Yu Sheng hurriedly moved the doll further away from his shoulder: "Don't shout in my ear, I can hear you!"

Dangling in the air by the strap on her back that Yu Sheng was holding, Erin swayed, "Oops, the commotion around the other body is too big; I couldn't switch over for a moment."

"How about now? Do you feel any disconnection between you and the other body?"

"It doesn't seem like it," Erin maintained her swaying posture in mid-air, supporting her chin with one hand, and seriously sensing, "Not to mention disconnection, there's not even a sense of any weakening."

While talking, Yu Sheng saw the bright tail flame being propelled halfway up the mountain in the distance and quickly approaching the border of the mountain range at the end of the valley.

"The connection is still very tight, with no delay between the two bodies," Erin replied proactively without waiting for Yu Sheng to speak, "and no attenuation either."

"Not feeling any attenuation..." Yu Sheng frowned, pondering and muttering, "That means, even if there's a limit to the connection between the two bodies, this limit may be outrageously far..."

"This entire Exotic Realm is quite big, including the surrounding mountains," Erin said, rolling up and sitting upright, then hooked her legs around Yu Sheng's forearm, and with hands and feet clambering, flipped onto his arm. She looked up towards the distance, "Okay, Hu Li has already reached the opposite mountaintop. She's asking what to do next."

Thinking it over, Yu Sheng broke the silence after a moment: "Right now we can only be sure that within the same space, the 'communication' distance between the two bodies is long enough. It's still uncertain what would happen if they were in different spaces."

Erin looked curious, "Ah, so...?"

Yu Sheng reached out and pulled open a door.

Outside was an unnamed, dense forest.

That was one of the locations he discovered through countless tests with opening doors before.

Plain and ordinary, and he "stocked up" on many such mundane coordinates.

"How about trying an even more extreme test?" Yu Sheng looked at the doll lying on his arm, "To see how far apart your two bodies can actually be."

"...Is it safe on the other side?"

"I took a quick look before; aside from some hotspots, there seems to be no danger."

Erin appeared somewhat hesitant.

But after a moment, she bit the bullet and nodded, "Okay."
