Can't Stand This Lousy Jie Sect Anymore

Chapter 112: Chang'e's Choice (second update please subscribe)

The treasure carriage sped towards the bright moon, guided by the moonlight.

Yu Yuan sat cross-legged opposite Chang'e, quietly observing the Moon Palace Immortal, known as the most beautiful woman in the Three Realms.

Even though Chang'e's face was concealed by a beaded curtain, hiding everything below her eyes, the unique charm reflected in her brows, and her slender and graceful figure still dazzled observers.

Her long hair flowed elegantly, like clouds and water, a light brush of which could make one feel a refreshing coolness.

Especially her bright and profound eyes, she radiated a mysterious and beautiful aura.

She wore a white Immortal Dress, the skirt of which fluttered in the wind, creating a mist-like appearance under the moonlight, making her resemble a blooming lotus.

A faint fragrance wafted from within the treasure carriage, complementing her fresh scent.

On their journey, both were deep in thought and remained silent.

As they neared the Taiyin Star, Chang'e softly reminded, "We're about to pass through the Taiyin Formation, it might get a bit bumpy."

Following her words, the treasure carriage swiftly plunged into an icy dust storm, instantly turning surroundings hazy.

Yu Yuan could clearly sense the treasure carriage following a special route.

Rocking from side to side, jerking up and down, it was indeed quite bumpy inside.

However, soon they passed through the icy dust storm and arrived atop the Taiyin Star.

Looking ahead, there stood an isolated palace.

Within the palace, the halls were old and desolate, the Jade Towers and buildings dimly lit without a sparkle.

Barren and bleak, everything withered.

If not for the light shining from within the palace, Yu Yuan would almost think it was a ruin forgotten by time.

Following Chang'e, he disembarked from the treasure carriage, looking around.

This Taiyin Star was quite different from the one he had seen in the Ancient Era.

Although it still exuded a bone-chilling desolation, the surface no longer had the endless Taiyin true water.

Instead, there was a barren frozen plain, pockmarked and ugly to the eye.

Even the Jade Trees were sparse, only a few dozen scattered around the palace.

Beyond that, there was nothing else to see on this Taiyin Star.

Perhaps noticing the confusion in Yu Yuan's eyes, Chang'e reassuringly said, "Immortal, you must have been to Taiyin Star before... This place had numerous battles during the Witch Demon Calamity, almost shattering it."

Yu Yuan nodded slightly, able to imagine the scene back then.

For those with profound Dao Xing, picking stars and grabbing the moon was no big deal.

The aftershocks from such level battles could easily destroy stars.

Given the intensity of the Witch Demon battles, it was no surprise the moon had transformed into its current state.

"Immortal, please follow me... It's been a long time since outsiders visited here, if anything is in disarray, I hope you won't mind."

With a respectful invitation from Chang'e, Yu Yuan stepped into the Guanghan Palace.

Perhaps due to the spacious and bright interior, Yu Yuan felt a hint of liveliness.

"Dingling~"

A crisp bell rang out, followed by a small girl, less than three feet tall, bounding out from a Treasure Hall. Then, upon seeing Yu Yuan, she suddenly stopped, her bright eyes filled with shock.

She wore a pure white Immortal Dress with two long ears perked up on her head.

"Sister, why did you bring a man back? Didn't you say you wanted to live alone on the moon forever... waah..."

Before the little girl could finish, Chang'e flicked her hand, and uncontrollably, the girl transformed into a chubby white rabbit.

Chang'e explained with slight embarrassment, "This is my Jade Rabbit; she doesn't understand the rules, I apologize for her rudeness."

Yu Yuan shook his head, more concerned about what the Moon God had left for him, and...

Why it was left for him?

Their only interaction was brief during a time-space travel, how could the Moon God have specifically painted his portrait and left something for him?

Without further delay, Chang'e looked at the Jade Rabbit and ordered, "Bring out the item I previously asked you to keep."

"Eh?"

The Jade Rabbit tilted its head, its childish voice questioning.

"Wasn't that already given to me?"

Watching Yu Yuan, Chang'e awkwardly explained, "I thought I wouldn't meet the Immortal again, and she needed it, so I temporarily lent it to her."

After speaking, she quickly told the Jade Rabbit, "It was borrowed for your use, now I need it, bring it here quickly."

"You had said you wouldn't use it again. That's not keeping your word."

The Jade Rabbit unhappily spewed a ball of spirit light, which quickly expanded in the air.

Yu Yuan frowned slightly, seeing as the spirit light enclosed a cylindrical jade stick, less than a foot long, thicker at one end and thinner at the other, with a ring pattern in the middle and many runes carved into its hollow surface, appearing very mysterious and elegant.

"Is this... a Jade Pestle?"

Yu Yuan raised his eyebrow, his expression very peculiar.

He couldn't understand why it was such an object.

"Doesn't this Jade Pestle look like any treasure, is there any special significance?"

Yu Yuan looked at Chang'e suspiciously.

The latter, unsure why, held the Jade Rabbit in her arms and pressed its head firmly against her bosom.

A faint blush appeared on her forehead and neck exposed outside the beaded curtain.

Hearing Yu Yuan's question, she shook her head and murmured softly, "I don't know."
