Regression - Second Chance At Life

Chapter 134: First Fight/First Allocation/Buying Course

Adam heads into the shower to wash away the little sweat his body produced to keep him comfortable and cool.

Once he was done showering, he walked out to find Rangsan waiting for him.

"Anything else, Coach?" Adam asks.

"How do you feel about fighting next month? There is a local event around the corner. You can start your amateur career early if you want," Rangsan says.

Usually, he would never offer a fighter of his such a proposal, but after seeing how Adam is taking to his teaching like a fish in water, he realizes that he will have Adam ready and in fighting shape within a month.

"Are you sure? Don't you think it's too early for me?" Adam asks. Even he is surprised because he thought Rangsan would at least train him for a few months before throwing him inside an actual fighting ring.

"I am. I have seen what you can do. I will have you ready in a month. And your first opponent won't be that hard either. They might also be just starting their careers, just like you. Trust me, it will be an easy win for you," Rangsan says, laughing confidently while slapping Adam's back.

Adam looks at Rangsan's jolly face and decides to go with it.

He wants to see how much better he is compared to an amateur who is just getting started like him, but of course, unlike him, they would have been training for years, or even their entire lifetime, waiting to hit the age of eighteen so that they can legally fight.

"Great! I knew you had the heart to do this. We are going to go even harder, starting tomorrow," Rangsan says, laughs out loud, and walks away, jolly.

He is clearly in a hurry to get a world title under his name, and Adam seems to be his ticket to it. He knows it, and Lamai knows it.

And that is why she feels jealous because her father has given Adam more attention and care in these few days than to her in her whole life.

Even when they are at home, Rangsan can't stop talking about Adam, which is adding fuel to the fire.

Adam is excited for his first fight, but as he turns to leave, he notices Lamai staring at him with a frown while she is training a kid on how to throw a kick. But since her attention is on Adam, she loses track of the kid, and he kicks her right in the side of her knee.

"Aaaa," she yelps in pain and goes down.

Seeing this, Adam rushes to her.

"I am so sorry, Coach! Are you okay?" the fourteen-year-old kid asks, looking a little panicked.

He is a little shorter than Lamai, but since he has already hit puberty, he is getting stronger and should be able to physically overpower most girls.

The boy then gets startled as Adam appears beside them out of nowhere.

"You okay?" Adam asks, extending his hand to Lamai.

Hearing his voice, Lamai looks at him and feels frustrated. She slaps his hand away. "I am fine, I don't need any help," she says and gets back to her feet.

Adam notices the slight wincing on her face from the pain she just experienced from trying to get back to her feet by herself.

'What's going on with her? Why is she mad at me?' Adam wonders. Since he doesn't know the cause of her frustration towards him, he doesn't know how to tackle this situation.

"Do you want me to take you to your office?" Adam asks.

"No need, you can leave since you are done for the day," Lamai says, giving Adam the cold shoulder.

Adam stares at her for a second before turning and leaving. He is not going to insist on taking care of someone who is giving him the cold shoulder.

He will deal with Lamai once he knows why she has a stick up her ass.

Adam leaves the gym and drives back home.

He thought of giving Ruth and her mother a visit, but then changed his mind. He can't be giving away his precious time to people he who want him more than he does them.

Distance grows fondness, and the more he keeps his distance from them, the more they will desire him.

He has already worked his magic on Ruth; she is obsessed with him.

She has even gone out of her way to post stories about being in love with someone special. Of course, Adam won't stop her because the more she acts to be in love, the more frustrated Joe is gonna get.

Adam doesn't care if Ruth loves him or not. She could be faking all this love bullshit. She could be doing all of these things just to show off to her friends about how better her man is compared to theirs.

But one thing Adam's certain of is that Ruth is obsessed with him, obsessed with the idea of him.

And again, Adam doesn't care if Ruth loves him or not because he certainly doesn't love her. She is a tool to a means. This is very cold-hearted of him. Ruth has nothing to do with what Joe would have done to Adam if he hadn't regressed back in time.

But Adam never claimed to be a good guy. He is spiteful, arrogant, and selfish. Ruth is just someone he can use to get back at Joe.

After Ruth, there is Emily, her and Joe's mother. That sexy bombshell of a milf. Adam almost had her, but he got interrupted. But Adam's not concerned about her backing away now.

He gave her the taste of what she could have, and she loved it. She was willing to go all the way. Adam would bet that he is the only thing that is occupying her thoughts and dreams. A lonely, beautiful woman, who doesn't have her husband to take care of her needs, suddenly gets the attention from a handsome young man who knows how to touch all her right places and is blessed with a massive cock. How can she resist?

Adam decides to let them wait a little more while he deals with other things that are going on in his life.

Such as this phone call he is about to receive.

Adam's phone rings, and it's from Tyler.

Adam smiles and answers the call. "Tyler, how's it going?" Adam asks.

"Hey boss... Well, it's going great... We were just wondering, when will we get our funds?" Tyler asks.

"Hmm, first tell me how you plan to use the first allocation of funds?" Adam asks.

He can hear Tyler get a little nervous on the other side. Tyler clears his throat and starts pointing out everything he has planned for the app. Coding, design, and other features he plans to implement.

"Alright, send me your plan. I will look through it and send you the first allocation," Adam says.

"Right on it, boss," Tyler says and ends the call.

A few minutes later, Adam gets a few documents sent to his email. He turns on his computer and starts looking through them.

Tyler wants to hire an extra coder to speed up the coding process and a website and app designer to polish up the rough design they have going on.

Adam goes through it a few times, even though he got everything the first time he looked through it. He just wants to make sure that his investment thrives.

Finding everything satisfying, he sends a hundred thousand dollars to Tyler's account. This should be enough for them to start off strong.

Adam puts the matter aside and goes on the internet and starts looking through a few online piano courses.

He finds one with great ratings. Over fifteen thousand reviews. The online instructor's name is Annie Choo, 27 year old, a classical musician. Very famous.

He looks up her profile and easily finds her; she has over a hundred thousand followers on social media. He looks through her photos. She is gorgeous.

He then looks up one of her performances on Metube and watched it. She is very good. Adam got chills listening to her performance as he could feel the raw emotions she was putting into the music.

Adam got inspired. He, too, wanted to play such intense music. He bought her course.

The course comes with multiple online videos and personal online sessions where she will teach him one-on-one through the camera.

It's a very expensive course, costing as much as a few in-person coaches, but Adam prefers it over the internet. He doesn't want people coming to his house just to teach him how to play piano.

Now that he has bought the course, he begins watching the offline lessons she has on her website. He spends hours looking through them, remembering her words.

Even without a piano at hand, he feels as if he has gotten down the basics. Adam feels satisfied.

Suddenly, there is a knock on his door. He turns his head and sees Xu Lin, standing beside it, shyly.

"Xu Lin, what are you doing here?" Adam asks, surprised.

"Madam has asked me to start coming to work evening as well to make dinner from now on," Xu Lin says, bringing a smile to Adam's face.

"I am glad. Come here, why are you standing by the door?" Adam calls her in.

Xu Lin blushes and approaches Adam.

Adam watches her approach with a smile. After their little agreement, he hasn't had much chance to interact with Xu Lin.

He can use to time to get to know his loyal maid a little better.
