My Accidental Harem

chapter 216

"Oh, I see. Thank you, Mr. Carter," Mia said, her heart racing. She hadn't expected this twist. Seeing her name on the list, she felt a surge of excitement. This was a big step forward in her career. She'd have to think about how to thank Principal Zach Jackson.

Back in the office, Mia saw several male colleagues congratulating Vanessa, who was glowing with happiness. Vanessa, too, had been told by David Carter about the additional spots secured by Principal Zach Jackson. She was puzzled since she hadn't made any deals with him. Why would he help her? Maybe she had misjudged him. She decided to visit Principal Zach Jackson.

Vanessa's Attempt to Thank Principal Zach Jackson

In the afternoon, Principal Zach Jackson had just finished a school meeting and was resting at his desk, planning his next steps. The title evaluations were finally over, involving a lot of balancing and private deals, but he had managed to place the right people in the right positions. His next challenge would be to adjust the administrative staff, which would require even more finesse.

Suddenly, there was a knock at the door, followed by a sweet voice. "Principal Jackson, are you in?"

"Come in," Zach said, sitting up straight. A young, attractive teacher walked in, wearing a pink dress that accentuated her curves and showed off her long, white legs. As she walked, her plump buttocks slightly swayed, full of charm. He recognized her immediately as Vanessa Wood from the English department.

"Principal Jackson, I don't know how to thank you for your efforts in the title evaluation," Vanessa said directly, pulling out a supermarket gift card from her bag. "This is a small token of my appreciation. Please accept it."

Vanessa had spent the afternoon pondering what to give Zach. He didn't smoke, rarely drank, and she didn't know his hobbies. Giving cash seemed inappropriate, and she wasn't sure how much to give. So, she bought a $55.00 gift card from a supermarket, hoping it would suffice.

Zach, however, pushed the card back, frowning. "Teacher Wood, this is inappropriate. As the principal, I make decisions based on the school's overall development, not for personal gain. You should focus on your work rather than worry about such things."

"Principal Jackson, it's just a small token of my appreciation," Vanessa said, taken aback by his refusal. Seeing his firm stance, she had no choice but to take the card back and leave the office, feeling confused. Zach didn't want gifts or money. What was his motive? Could it really be just for the sake of work?

Principal Zach Jackson's Intentions

Watching Vanessa Wood walk away, Principal Zach Jackson just shook his head. Sure, Vanessa was hot, and when she hinted at offering herself, he almost caved. But in the end, he said no.

To him, Vanessa was just another restless woman, like the one he had an affair with before. She used her body to get what she wanted, willing to do anything to climb the ladder. Women like that were trouble, and Zach didn't want to make the same mistake twice. Plus, he had his eyes on a bigger prize and didn't need Vanessa messing things up.

Zach had secured a spot for Vanessa from the education bureau, but it was all a cover for his real target, Mia Wilson. Mia's promotion to intermediate level was tough, and Zach didn't want to make it too obvious he was favoring her. So, he threw Vanessa into the mix, using the excuse of strengthening the English department to get two spots from the bureau, involving a bunch of complicated deals.

Ever since that night when Mia helped him get off in the office, Zach's desire for the cold and proud teacher had only grown. The more she resisted, the more he wanted her. He fantasized about the day Mia would finally bend over his office sofa, her white, plump ass in the air, letting him take her. The thought set him on fire. He was determined to conquer this beautiful, alluring, and lonely woman.

But Mia hadn't shown up since that night, leaving Zach frustrated. He was still pissed about whoever had broken the window and interrupted them. If it weren't for that, Mia might've already given in. But this just made the game more interesting. The promotion was the bait he'd angled. He wanted Mia to know it was her reward for that night.

He wondered if she'd get the hint. Sipping his tea, he closed his eyes, waiting for her to bite. The afternoon dragged on, and just as he was about to give up, he heard the click of high heels in the hallway. His heart skipped a beat, hoping it was Mia.

Mia's Visit and Zach's Proposition

The heels stopped at the door but didn't knock right away. That hesitation felt like forever to Zach. He almost got up to open the door himself but held back. Finally, there was a knock.

"Come in," Zach said, relieved, subconsciously fixing his hair. When Mia's tall, sexy figure walked in, his eyes locked onto her ample chest, feeling a rush of heat. His previously dormant cock even stirred.

"Principal Jackson, thank you for supporting us young teachers. I'll work hard and learn from my seniors to contribute more to our school." Mia said, feeling his intense gaze on her chest, her face flushing slightly. She had debated for a long time before deciding to see Zach, knowing she couldn't avoid him forever.

"Ms. Wilson, I'm just doing my job. Good teachers should be valued and given important roles." Zach said with a smile, stepping closer to Mia. "I personally recruited you, so you're my responsibility. After our... deeper communication that night, I believe you're worth the effort." He lightly patted her shoulder.

"Principal Jackson, please respect yourself." Mia said, trembling, taking a step back. She had come to clear things up about that night, her voice firm.

"To progress, you need to adapt. You showed potential last time. Don't be foolish now. Even though the title evaluation documents are out, I can still adjust the list." Zach said with a wicked grin.

Mia's heart sank. Zach had indeed kept a card up his sleeve. "Principal Jackson, why are you doing this? I can forgo the title. I won't betray my husband again."

"Mia Wilson, don't be impulsive." Zach sighed. "I truly value you. Before you came, I had already decided. If you agree to my terms, I can send you for training immediately." He picked up a document from his desk. "See this? It's a training program organized by the education bureau. Each school gets only one spot. It's three months long, and when you return, I'll make you a head teacher. I promise to promote you to deputy director of the research office within a year and secure you a senior title within three years. Think about it."

Zach finally laid all his cards on the table, offering everything he had. He believed any female teacher, including Vanessa, would jump at such conditions. These were goals that might take a lifetime for an ordinary teacher to achieve, but he could grant them effortlessly. This was his confidence.

But Mia wasn't Vanessa or any other teacher. Hearing Zach's condition, she was stunned. Even if she prided herself on being principled, she was still an ordinary woman who needed to survive and desired a better life. Zach's promises were exactly what she dreamed of—being a head teacher, a deputy director, securing a senior title—each one was incredibly tempting.

An Interruption and Awkward Aftermath

Zach had laid it all out. All she had to do was nod, and it would all be hers. With Zach's protection, she wouldn't have to worry about harassment from blackguards like Quentin Rodriguez. But could she really go through with it?

As they were entangled, a crisp knock sounded at the door. "Principal, are you in?"

Zach cursed silently, recognizing his driver, Van's voice. This guy had to come at the worst time. Mia came to her senses, quickly freeing herself from Zach and standing up from the sofa. Zach had no choice but to return to his desk, watching as Mia hastily straightened her clothes. He then cleared his throat and said, "Come in."

A short, skinny guy strolled in, grinning at Principal Zach Jackson. "Hey, Principal, I parked the car downstairs. Should I wait in the car for you?"

Usually, if Zach didn't have plans, he'd drive himself home. But if he had evening plans that involved drinking, his driver would take over. Since it was the end of the workday, the driver came up to check.

"Nah, you can head home. I'll drive myself." Zach said, a bit irritated. Normally, this guy was pretty sharp. How could he be so dense today? If he had come ten minutes later, Zach would have had Mia Wilson wrapped around his finger.

"Alright, Principal. I'm out." the driver said, noticing Zach's annoyance. He quickly made for the door but couldn't help sneaking a glance at Mia Wilson. He knew the pretty teacher and saw her flushed face and tense posture. He wondered if Zach had been messing with her, which would explain Zach's bad mood. Imagining Zach playing with Mia's curves made him jealous. Being the principal had its perks—any female teacher would jump at a mere nod.

After the driver left, things got awkward. Zach saw the shame and anger on Mia's face, feeling a twinge of regret. Mia wasn't like Vanessa Wood, who openly offered herself for favors. Mia was more like a delicate flower, needing a gentle touch. Once scared, she'd shut down, making it harder to win her over.
