How Did I Become an F1 Driver?

Chapter 180: Transformation (6K Extra 4/20)

Even though I hadn't watched the news broadcast in nearly three or four years, it still looked the same as I remembered, like the image of Qin Miao in my memory.

And I never imagined that one day I could appear on the news broadcast, and that my name and face could be known by thousands of households in my country.

Honestly, I was thrilled, to the point where I could feel my hands trembling, the level of excitement not too different from when I won the championship yesterday.

The feeling of winning the championship was a kind of satisfaction from the effort and sweat I've put in, like finally becoming a big deal after enduring so much hardship.

And today, after seeing the news broadcast, what Qin Miao felt more was that his efforts were recognized by his family elders.

The news broadcast had just ended when Qin Miao's phone rang.

Looking at the phone, the caller ID displayed "Mom."

Qin Miao answered the call with some excitement.

"Hello, Mom, I was on the news broadcast!"

Mom mainly called about Qin Miao being on the news broadcast, but it was rare to hear excitement in her tone.

After talking about this, Mom began asking about the life of Qin Miao and Qimeng living abroad.

After asking, she reminded Qin Miao to be safe, the usual family advice for those who live far from home.

If Qin Miao were still back in high school, he might have found Mom's reminders to be a bit annoying.

But now it's different, as Qin Miao is working abroad and hasn't seen Mom for nearly two years.

So now instead of being impatient, Qin Miao listens very attentively to Mom's nagging and advice.

But this call didn't last long since Mom is not someone who likes to nag. The main reason why she said so much today was that it's been too long since she last saw Qin Miao, and she somewhat missed him. Once she finished saying everything she wanted, it was enough.

After hanging up, Mom turned and went out to brag to her neighbors and friends.

Qin Miao also let out a sigh of relief, then calmed his slightly excited mood and went to find Hamilton.

"Are you done with your work?"

Qin Miao nodded: "I just watched our country's news broadcast."

Hamilton raised an eyebrow with a smile: "So concerned, it seems you've been on China's news broadcast. With such a large population base in your country, I believe you must be a well-known figure in the sports community there now."

"Not necessarily, it's just a news broadcast. Nowadays, most young people don't really watch the news broadcast at night," Qin Miao modestly replied.

Hamilton shook his head: "You Chinese are just like that, too modest. When I first interacted with Chinese people, I even thought your modesty was genuine.

But nevertheless, achieving such accomplishments is a result of your hard work, so I think we should properly celebrate this."

Old Man then led Qin Miao to a clearing in the backyard of his vineyard, where a caddy cart was already prepared for them, along with two golf bags at the back.

Seeing this equipment, Qin Miao was a bit surprised: "There's a golf course here? Isn't this a vineyard?"

Hamilton laughed: "The golf course isn't mine, it just happens to be next to my vineyard, so I bought a golf cart to keep here. If there's time, we can go play."

They stayed at Old Man's place until evening, played some golf, and then had dinner together. Since he didn't drink, Qin Miao drove his car home.

Qin Miao couldn't help but admire Hamilton's thorough hospitality. When visiting Hamilton at his house, his vineyard staff even washed his car.

This meeting with Hamilton felt like a regular gathering between friends for Qin Miao, with no worries of words getting out or need for mind games, a relaxed and enjoyable afternoon spent with friends.

However, Hamilton's everyday lifestyle did have some impact on Qin Miao, who comes from a city dweller background.

So on the way home, Qin Miao couldn't help but reflect on everything he saw at Hamilton's house.

What surprised Qin Miao somewhat was that he ended up spending quite some time at Hamilton's place, and by the time he left, it was already completely dark.

Naturally, it was impossible for Qin Miao to send his car for maintenance at that hour.

So he could only drive the car home and plan to send it for maintenance when he had time.

Upon arriving home, Qimeng was in pajamas curled up on the living room sofa, watching a movie while waiting for Qin Miao to return.

Honestly, opening the door and seeing your loved one waiting for you is a very blessed feeling.

After Qin Miao returned, Qimeng promptly sent him off to take a shower, prepared clothes for him, and placed several contracts in front of Qin Miao's computer.

According to Qin Miao's habit, after returning and showering, he would play on the computer for a bit before going to bed.

So placing these contract documents in front of his computer was just right for Qin Miao to look at before playing games.

Qimeng was unable to break away in the morning because of these contracts. Having spent a whole day, she sifted through and organized what she considered suitable contracts.
