Yang Chen and Chen Siyan drove back to Emperor Garden, only to find two Red Flag cars parked at the entrance.

Seeing the license plate numbers, Yang Chen immediately remembered; these were likely the cars of the people in charge.

Yang Chen had a sharp memory for numbers, almost photographic, a habit cultivated over years in the Guard, where numbers and intelligence were often intertwined. Sometimes, what you saw had to be remembered, or it would be lost, making all the hard work for nothing.

Thinking it over, Yang Chen led Chen Siyan over to the entrance.

There were two guards at the entrance. Seeing Yang Chen and Chen Siyan approaching, they stopped them and asked, "Who are you?"

Yang Chen responded calmly, "This is my house!"

Although the house was registered under Ye Xin's name, they had already registered their marriage, so it was joint property.

The two guards were taken aback, exchanged a look, and one of them said, "Please wait a moment!"

Yang Chen glanced at Wei Xueqing and then told the person in charge, "Brother Liu, don't let President Wei's youth deceive you. She has extensive experience with foreign businesses from her time on Will Street. I hope President Wei will engage in comprehensive exchanges with the inspection team during these negotiations. Although Shangdong Group currently focuses on apparel, I believe they have the potential to expand into other areas."

Wei Xueqing couldn't help but feel pleased upon hearing this.

With that, Yang Chen stood up, took Chen Siyan's hand, and headed upstairs.

Seeing Yang Chen's nonchalant demeanor, the secretary thought it was disrespectful to the person in charge.

Yang Chen took Chen Siyan to her room.

The villa was large, with five bedrooms upstairs. Chen Siyan chose the room at the farthest end. Although it was smaller, it had great lighting and views.

"Brother, can I live here from now on?" Chen Siyan whined, holding onto Yang Chen's arm.

"Of course!" Yang Chen smiled, tousling Chen Siyan's hair.

He was no longer willing to let Chen Siyan stay in that makeshift tin house. She was grown up after all, and continuing to live there wasn't safe.

"Yay! That's great!" Chen Siyan jumped with excitement.

The little girl flopped onto the soft bed, rolled around, and stretched lazily, saying, "It'd be nice if sister-in-law were here too."

Yang Chen's expression shifted slightly upon hearing this.

If Ye Xin had wanted to escape at that time, she definitely could have.

She chose to leave with the people from Shangqing Sect to protect him!

Thinking of this, Yang Chen felt a pang of heartache every time he remembered his woman taking such burdens for him.
