The gemstone synthesis feature wasn't entirely useless. Li Xiu thought about testing if he could synthesize a Demon Spirit Gemstone, but he only had one unprocessed gemstone left, so he couldn't test it yet.

Li Xiu went to check on Jing Li and found his cultivation of the Unspoken Strength and Oddity Arts hadn't progressed much. His body still couldn't gather Light Energy independently, failing at this crucial stage.
