When "God" Decides To Start Over

Chapter 205 Eternal Heaven_2

...

Having settled the affairs of the City of Light, Li Xiu set off for the Red Sand City.

Now he had two Super Spirit Entities in hand, which provided him with a certain degree of protection. However, in a place like Longevity Heaven, Super Spirits might not truly be reliable. Fortunately, Li Xiu had another plan; if he encountered an insurmountable obstacle, he would have to devise another solution.

After arriving in Red Sand City, the City Lord did not invite him to a meal this time, but instead engaged in a private discussion with him in the conference room.

"Every year, Longevity Heaven has a fixed time for recruiting new members. An initiation ceremony will be held uniformly. This year's ceremony is still far off, but with my recommendation, you can skip the process and join first. However, one thing is unavoidable," the City Lord explained about the Blood Seal Stone: "After you arrive at the headquarters, someone will come to you daily, requesting you to drip blood onto the Blood Seal Stone. This cannot be resisted; otherwise, it will be difficult for you to leave Longevity Heaven alive."

"I've heard about the Blood Seal Stone. I'm aware of this matter," Li Xiu said, looking at the City Lord. "Where exactly is the headquarters of Longevity Heaven?"

"Cannot be revealed." The City Lord smiled and shook his head: "You don't need to know where that place is. Once you join, find a backer to avoid hardship and suffering."

"Who do you think I should find as a backer?" Li Xiu asked.

"It's not about whom you should find as a backer, but about seeing who wants to pull you over. You think the commanders and elders of Longevity Heaven are like cabbages on the street for you to pick and choose?" The City Lord laughed: "Actually, it doesn't matter whom you choose as a backer. Although there are many factions within Longevity Heaven, it is still fairly balanced at present. They restrain each other, and as long as you join one faction, it will be harder for Wan Chaoxin to cause trouble for you."

"Which faction does Wan Chaoxin belong to?" Li Xiu pondered and asked.

"The Wan family has been commanders of Longevity Heaven for generations and have also produced many elders…" The City Lord roughly introduced some matters about the Wan family.

"All right, everything that should be said has been said. Now you should go in," the City Lord led Li Xiu into his secret chamber and pointed to a metal coffin on the ground.

"Is it necessary to use this?" Li Xiu frowned.

"Without this, no one would dare to take you into Longevity Heaven." The City Lord chuckled.

Li Xiu said no more and pushed open the coffin lid to lie inside.

To his surprise, the inside of the coffin was lined with soft mattresses and pillows, making it quite comfortable to lie in.

"Kid, good luck," the City Lord said as he covered the coffin lid.

Inside the coffin, it was pitch-black; fortunately, Li Xiu possessed the Dark Mirror, so he didn't have to worry about not being able to see anything.

But being able to see was of no use, as there wasn't much to see in such a confined space.

Li Xiu listened intently, but heard nothing; the coffin was excellently sound-proofed, so not a sound could be heard.

After a while, Li Xiu felt the coffin shake, as if it was being lifted, and then it began to jolt continuously.

Sha Chu had previously told Li Xiu that each time she went to Longevity Heaven's headquarters, she was carried inside a coffin.

But Li Xiu sensed something amiss; although the coffin jostled, seemingly as if it were being carried by someone walking.

Yet, from Li Xiu's perception, this was not the sensation of someone carrying a coffin.

Moreover, such a heavy coffin couldn't feasibly be manually carried into Longevity Heaven; a transport vehicle would likely be used.

"Is it a car or a plane?" Li Xiu pondered the coffin's vibrations and silently judged inside.

It should not be a plane, as a plane wouldn't shake this way.

It likely wasn't a train either, as a train wouldn't jolt this excessively. After thinking it over, it could only be a car or similar transport vehicle, as only a car would jolt this way on rough roads.

"Could the headquarters of Longevity Heaven be near Red Sand City? Otherwise, why use a car for transport?" Li Xiu felt something was off.

If the headquarters of Longevity Heaven were truly in the Southern Cross Alliance, things wouldn't be as chaotic; all resources would be controlled by Longevity Heaven long ago.

"Bang!" Li Xiu felt the coffin suddenly give a jolt, then come to a standstill.

"Did it arrive so soon?" Li Xiu was surprised. With his Time Perception ability, it had only been just over an hour, less than two hours, and even by car, it shouldn't have gone too far.

"Could Longevity Heaven's headquarters truly be nearby?" Li Xiu harbored doubts.

While Li Xiu was contemplating, the coffin lid was suddenly opened, and strong light shot in, causing Li Xiu to instinctively squint.

A face blocked the sunlight, appearing in Li Xiu's field of view.

Rather than a face, it was a mask—a bronze mask resembling the face of a terracotta warrior.

"Put this on," the masked man handed a mask to Li Xiu inside the coffin.

Li Xiu took the mask and examined it, finding it similarly a bronze mask, but with a slightly different facial shape compared to the masked man's.

"Must I wear it?" Li Xiu asked while putting the mask on his face.

"Unless you want everyone to know your true identity, then you can choose not to wear it." The masked man said coldly, "Come out and follow me."

Saying this, the masked man turned and walked away.
