Alter Adam, stripped of his smile and with his face contorted into a mask of absolute, consuming fury, began to run at maximum velocity, tearing across the scarred, rocky expanse as he returned to the point from where he had been violently kicked.
The blow he had received was not only physical but a moral wound that had reignited a raw, primary anger that immediately superseded any cold, rational calculation, and he moved with the grim determination of a relentless predator who had been momentarily cornered.
Falk, who now towered as the imposing, mechanical form of his former self encased in the Battlerizer Suit, turned toward Adam, who still clung to consciousness, his body healing slowly under the immense spiritual pain.
"Do you know if anyone is in need of urgent medical attention?"
He asked, his metallic voice modulated with a tone of quiet, mechanical concern for the injured. The boy simply shook his head, his movement slow and labored.
Adam managed to rasp out the negative. Despite everything, none of them was in any real danger for the moment. They had simply lost consciousness due to the accumulated damage.
"I felt the magnetic field of the area, and I know the majority of the bodies have been moved relatively far away."
Falk explained while his armored head rotated like a sensor.
"That is good news, because it is clear that the situation here will escalate significantly… However, you do not need to worry, because Sebastian and I are here now, maybe with some extra aid coming."
Adam did not yet understand to what Falk referred with the mention of additional aid, and the vague promise offered little comfort. He desperately needed to relay the vital information they had obtained—the critical vulnerability of his counterpart—but his voice had not returned, and the internal chains of the skill [The Absolute Penitence] still locked him in place.
Alter Adam was already dangerously close, and to the utter horror of everyone watching, he instantly utilized the skill [RedBrood Colony Master] to its absolute, horrifying maximum potential. This skill was the manifestation that the user had become, literally and organically, the living human colony for the monstrous, parasitic RedBrood race.
From the scars, the sutures, and every open pore of alter Adam's body, a seemingly infinite torrent of dark, pulsating spores began to emerge. The air immediately became thick with the noxious scent of decaying flesh and raw sulfur. The spores scattered across the desolate ground and, with terrifying, accelerated speed, began to grow in size, swelling and bursting violently to release unending hordes of grotesque, nightmarish creatures.
Colossal tank-like Brute-type beasts, covered in thick, resilient skin of maroon and yellow, with immense carapaces and curved scythe-claws the size of actual swords, roared as they emerged, ready to crush anything in their path. Alongside them, the reptilian Serpent-type creatures, agile and brown, slithered forward with erect torsos and scythe-like claws in place of arms, moving like living, cutting saws across the rocks.
In the air, the massive, fleshy flying Giant-type monstrosities, dark purple and covered in tumorous growths, beat their grotesque, membranous wings, casting immense, deformed shadows and filling the atmosphere with their bulk. Finally, thousands of small arachnid Infant-type units, covered in segmented chitinous plates and scuttling on six razor-sharp legs, formed a relentless terrestrial tide that swarmed with predatory, sharp-toothed hunger.
Alter Adam roared with the totality of his being, a primal scream that was neither human nor demon, but the sound of a triumphant catastrophe unleashed upon the enemy.
"I do not know how you appeared again in this place! If you survived by some impossible fluke or if the 'narrative' is trying to interpose itself in my path again!"
He screamed in furious accusation, his voice shaking with violent intensity.
"But I will leave absolutely nothing to chance! This time, I will kill with everything I possess!"
Alter Adam knew that something was profoundly wrong with the elderly man's appearance because, even if the energy he felt was clearly Gilgamesh's, it was drastically diminished.
Had it been the true Gilgamesh, that moment of carelessness would have been sufficient for the enemy to kill him instantly, especially since alter Adam was currently operating at severely reduced capacity. While retreat would have been the most logical choice, his pride and the need to secure the threat were paramount. If that man had returned somehow, it would be sheer, unforgivable stupidity to leave him free when he was apparently also weakened.
Sebastian, still far from Falk and Adam, trotted forward, his pace firm but limited by his age. He was horrified by the visual proof of the enemy's power, while 'The_Absolute_Thinkerer' immediately spoke, his voice laced with exasperation.
"Why do you seem to be afraid just now when I warned you this was a lost battle from the beginning?"
The Patron confronted the user. However, Sebastian denied the personal fear with silent resolve.
"I do not fear for myself, but for the others. It will be impossible for me to help or protect my companions with so many enemies."
His voice was tight with worry for his family, so that 'The_Absolute_Thinkerer' sighed deeply, followed by a small, frustrated cry of rage.
"Fine!"
The Patron conceded, sounding profoundly annoyed.
A screen from the System appeared instantly in front of Sebastian. He read the contents without stopping his advance and was immediately surprised, questioning the Patron's drastic decision.
"Are you certain about this?"
The old man asked the Patron for final confirmation.
"Yes, now use it before I change my mind!"
'The_Absolute_Thinkerer' replied with a clear threat, ending the debate. The elderly man immediately thanked the Patron and stretched out his arms. A System window then appeared before everyone, a message Adam was able to read clearly.
[Notice: L-class Plot device: "This Hidden War of Mine" has been used] [The battlefield becomes a zone of absolute neutrality for everyone except the user who uses the Plot Device. As long as those affected by this effect do not show hostility towards anyone else, they cannot be attacked.]Suddenly, the bodies of absolutely everyone present, including the unconscious figures of the injured, turned a cold, neutralizing blue, except for Sebastian and Falk. At the same moment, the aggressive advance of alter Adam's monstrous army continued, returning to their normal colors after confirming their pure hostility. This maneuver, however, made Adam and all the unconscious users impervious to the chaos that was about to erupt.
However, the critical problem remained as it was, and that was the absurdly massive numerical disparity between the two sides. Even Falk rapidly retreated before being engulfed by the wave of ferocious creatures. Standing beside Sebastian, the mechanical companion asked for the overall strategy.

"Is there any plan for this, Sebastian?"
Falk inquired, his head rotating to track the enemy line. The elderly man simply pressed his lips together.
"We will simply have to exert ourselves."
Sebastian replied with a sigh of weary determination. However, as he spoke those quiet words, another System window appeared in front of him.
[The item [Space Station: WarWorld - Rank S] has given the order.] [Warping the WarWorld defense mechanism, 'Automaton Legion']Both Sebastian and 'The_Absolute_Thinkerer' were utterly surprised by that notification, because neither had seen that four of Gilgamesh's powerful treasures decided to actively support the elderly man. The items were guided by the collective intention to avenge their original owner against the villain who had stolen alter Sebastian's life.
Immediately, amidst intense, blinding flashes of light, hundreds and hundreds of mechanized units began to materialize all over the battlefield… The Automaton Legion had arrived.
Gigantic armored artillery robots, covered in dark gray metal and bearing massive cannon arrays, materialized and took immediate defensive positions. Alongside them, the slender, martial humanoid combat robots, polished white and black, deployed their four arms with unsettling grace, ready for close-quarters combat.
Towering tripod heavy units rose high on their three articulated legs, projecting powerful laser beam generators that immediately cut through the heavy, stagnant air. Finally, thousands of small, spherical explorer drones with weird, strange, smiling faces like emojis, skittered across the ground, forming aggressive formations… An immense mechanical wave had been spontaneously generated.
That mechanical army stood with their backs to Sebastian for a critical moment, and then, at the sound of alter Adam's final, infuriated roar, the two proxy armies violently clashed.
The battle was an immediate, devastating convergence, a spectacle of living organic horror against cold, precise steel that covered the plain in a wave of terrifying, chitinous flesh and exploding metal. Alter Adam's grotesque RedBrood monstrosities, relying on sheer physical mass and unending ferocity, slammed into the Automaton Legion, overwhelming the initial defensive lines by sheer number. The colossal Brute-type RedBrood units used their weight and gigantic claws to viciously tear through the mechanized humanoid units, but the robot army was not passive.
The robots fought with coordinated, cold efficiency. The armored artillery units immediately began firing focused missile barrages into the dense crowds of RedBrood, detonating massive sections of the organic army at once and reducing the monsters to scattered fragments of dark blood and pulverized bone. The tripod units projected powerful, cutting lasers that sliced through the grotesque bodies of the RedBrood Serpent-type units, while the small, spherical explorer drones swarmed the RedBrood's arachnid infantry, overwhelming them with concentrated laser fire.
The RedBrood monstrosities fell much faster than the robots because they relied entirely on physical attacks and had no way to attack from a distance. However, their number was way superior. It took immense, sacrificial effort, often requiring dozens of creatures to swarm one robot and destroy even a single mechanized unit, but even though the RedBrood fell quickly, they were continuously produced by the endless spores emanating from alter Adam, ensuring the numerical advantage remained firmly at the monsters' advantage.
Continuously, new robots of the Automaton Legion were being warped in by the War World, a slow but constant reinforcement. However, it was clear that the robots, despite being superior in strength and armament, would eventually be overwhelmed by the sheer, unending number of the opposing army.
Sebastian, ignoring the massive, brutal war unfolding around him, was focused on reviewing a sudden System window that had appeared in front of him. While alter Adam, fueled by rage and the need to eliminate the central threat, ignored the chaos and began his relentless advance through the fighting.
The patched boy tore through the metal wreckage like a guided missile. Every attack from alter Adam was instantly fatal to a robot. He could destroy even an armored artillery unit with a single, massive blow, sending metal shards flying. Still, his advance was slow because the quantity of the different mechanized units that threw themselves at him was too great.
When alter Adam finally managed to traverse the chaotic battlefield and reached the point where Sebastian was standing, he was met by a barrage of cannon fire that forced him to instantly dodge in a constant, agile motion, utilizing the [Incarnation of the Living Planet] skill to shift his body and avoid the devastating projectile hits.
Looking up, he saw the source of the immense attack. An enormous, colossal humanoid robot, armored in red and black, with massive wing structures, multiple propellers, and a gigantic drill arm, stood there, its internal turbines screaming as it retreated and continued its focused assault on the invader.
That immense machine was Gilgamesh's Rank S item [Miracle StarSuit: Orion], and Sebastian was in the cockpit. The elderly man, though initially nervous about controlling such a large machine, was trying to remain focused and calm.
It wasn't as big as his [Sea Knight], but it is substantially faster, and the controls were instinctively similar. Sebastian noted the little differences, took a deep breath, and the nervousness finally dissolved, replaced by the fierce concentration of a seasoned craftsman.
The StarSuit, now fully controlled by Sebastian, immediately took flight with a roar of its propulsion systems, soaring high above the two armies. Sebastian fired missile after missile, targeting alter Adam while the invader dodged and pursued, attempting to land counterattacks. The resulting crossfire caused immense destruction to both armies below, as the StarSuit's missiles vaporized groups of RedBrood, and alter Adam's retaliatory attacks reduced dozens of robots to mangled scrap.
At one critical moment, when the patched boy seemed poised to finally reach the mech, Falk appeared directly in front of him, interposing himself. The armored scientist delivered a ferocious punch charged with raw atomic energy, while his dynamos were creating a blinding electrical discharge.
Alter Adam instantly countered with his own punch, making the two collide and creating a giant shockwave that momentarily halted the chaos. However, neither ceded ground… It was then that the StarSuit seized the critical opening and violently impacted the boy with its massive, brutally spinning drill arm.
Alter Adam received the direct hit and was sent careening toward the ground with immense, devastating force, striking the rock like a meteor and obliterating both the robots and the monsters unlucky enough to be in the range of the impact…For the first time, the Abyss Team leader coughed a thick stream of blood, finally receiving real, tangible damage that his regeneration could not immediately negate.
In the meantime, Adam, who remained paralyzed by the chains and spikes, continued his recovery while watching the conflict, feeling how every attack and enemy just passed through him. As long as he remained imprisoned and immobile, he was immune to the damage, and a critical advantage now was that his counterpart was completely focused on the formidable threat of Sebastian instead of him.
However, in that moment, a series of System windows appeared across the sky, something that Adam could read, announcing a catastrophic turn in the larger war.
[Notice: L-class Plot Device: "Divine Punishment" has been used.] [Team Abyss's "Katya Nakamura" has invaded the scenario!] [Team Abyss's "Emir Nassar" has ■■ ■■ ■■] [Team Abyss's ■■ ■■ ■■ ■■] [■■ ■■ ■■ ■■ ■■ ■■] [Warning: Due to the interference of the item [Eternity: The Mecha DoppelGanger (Aberration) - Rank S], 5 out of 6 incursions had been rejected.]What was happening? … A searing bolt of pure light, thick and blinding, speared through the atmospheric rupture, piercing the heart of the battlefield. It crushed an immense swath of RedBrood monsters and Automaton Legion robots indiscriminately, leaving a smoking, devastated trench in its wake.
From the radiant epicenter of that destructive beam, a feminine figure, indiscernible in her details from Adam's distant vantage point, emerged with impossible grace, and with a brutally powerful leap, she moved with shocking speed, landing precisely near the smoking crater where alter Adam had just been violently flung.
However, even as this new, terrifying presence settled, another entity materialized nearby, floating with an eerie stillness that defied the chaos. It was clearly mechanical, yet possessed an almost organic fluidity in its form. Its sleek, predatory design evoked the image of a phantom humanoid, draped in a cloak of dark, metallic fiber that shimmered with an inner, malevolent energy.
Spiked ears flared from its head, and glowing red eyes pierced the battle haze, emanating an aura of cold, calculating power. From its hands, which hovered with an unsettling detachment, pulsed raw, purple energy, visibly distorting the space around it, twisting the very air into shimmering, unstable currents… Another one of Gilgamesh's finest creations, the item [Eternity: The Mecha DoppelGanger - Rank S] has arrived.
