"Go in."
McCarthy Delin shouted, "Go to the camp, tell them—!"
The shout was abruptly cut off.
The familiar feeling returned again.
He felt a brief blankness in his thoughts, an unprecedented cold enveloped him, and he clearly saw the rampaging black lightning suspended in mid-air, frozen in an extremely bizarre way within the ice layer.
The tardy subhumans finally observed the changes outside the building.
The pitch-black barrier had somehow been replaced by a layer of white ice, covering everything beneath a domed canopy.
Following that came a muffled "thud."
It was the sound of something heavy hitting the ground.
They saw the unstoppable Warlord fall, his armor crafted by Kaisaros himself also covered in ice, and the shadow under his helmet ceased to stir.
Kane was stunned for a moment.
This time, even he hadn't detected when Lindong had acted.
Compared to their first meeting, Lindong's domain magic had undergone a qualitative leap.
This was no longer magic that could be measured by a "Saint."
The frozen Warlord slid along the ground to her feet, with no mercy in her eyes, she raised her right foot high, aiming at the shadow beneath the helmet that was about to be extinguished at any moment.
However, the next moment, Lindong was suddenly taken aback.
The gathered ice elements vanished without a trace in the blink of an eye, the sound of the ice dome shattering echoed, and fragmented ice crashed to the ground like hail.
Her face turned pale, showing signs of exhaustion.
This sudden change left Kane's mind blank for quite a while.
Was this an energy backlash?
Or was her domain magic so powerful that it triggered some kind of defensive mechanism left by Kaisaros?
Kane disliked this feeling of the unknown, he couldn't detect when Lindong's magic had been dispelled, and her pale face showed she was enduring the pain of a magic power backlash.
Immediately after, Kane heard footsteps approaching from afar.
"I sensed the gathering of elements, what happened?"
A concerned voice came from the doorway.
A young man with a spear squeezed out from the crowd, and then Kane witnessed a very bizarre scene—he noticed that Lindong seemed to have sensed the young man's arrival long before, moving "stumblingly" toward the door even before he appeared, with astonishing precision, just in time to "weakly" fall into his arms as the young man emerged from the crowd.
Kane wanted to say something but noticed something even more unusual.
Lindong's previously pale face suddenly showed a slight smile.
She buried her face into the young man's chest, and naturally, this smile couldn't be observed by him.
It was the smile of a successful trick, making Kane forget everything he wanted to say for a moment.
The originally frozen Warlord naturally would not let the opportunity pass by, nor did it plan to give Lindong any respite, even though it didn't know the cause of her backlash, now was not the time to think too much.
This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Lindong's back was to it.
Everyone felt the terror of this strike, and sensed its resolute determination.
They heard the sound of space breaking.
Everything here could no longer bear the weight brought by the black sword.
The young man swung the spear once, piercing straight into the Warlord's chest.
The spear seemed ordinary, like an exercise of a beginner.
Yet the rushing form came to a halt.
A hole appeared in its chest, lying peacefully on the floor.
The black energy beneath the armor extinguished like a snuffed flame, the young man withdrew the spear, full of confusion.
"What's wrong with it?"
Ethan questioned the stupefied crowd, having arrived to see the Warlord attacking Lindong, he had intervened in the spirit of peace.
The good news was, thanks to his intervention, the Warlord became quiet.
The bad news was, it didn't seem to be moving anymore.
And he needed to emphasize one thing.
He only drew the spear, it was the Warlord that ran into it.
Everyone saw it.
