On the Golden Post Road that divides the rainforest sea of green.
Swoosh—!
Boom—!
Aiven's feet barely touched the ground, shooting forward like a wisp of smoke. It was an astonishing technique akin to a fleeting glimpse of light, nearly representing the pinnacle that a Tier 2 Knight could achieve.
On the other hand, the "Clockwork Man" opposite him was overwhelming, each footfall shattering the earth and kicking up dust, wielding power akin to an ancient tyrannosaurus.
The trees on either side of the road, several meters away, fell victim without needing the blade to touch them. The sharp force alone was enough to shred the tender leaves from the branches.
Even the Pirates watching from afar felt a prickling sensation on their skin like needle stabs!
What loomed was the brutal scene of a planetary collision.
Ding!
Yet there was only a barely discernible sound of blades clashing, like a roller coaster suddenly halted, making one sick to the point of wanting to vomit blood.
But the power was gathered in an instant, then suddenly exploded.
Boom—
The two were sent flying by the combined force, crashing into the rainforests on either side of the road like two whistling cannonballs.
Crackling...
They plowed through countless underbrush, ferns, and trees in the rainforest, carving out two long corridors in the sea of green.
Clearly, in this full-force clash, neither of them gained any advantage.
"Hahaha... to think there's someone like you among the Pirates. Looks like the sea is going to become more interesting!"
Relying on having no sense of pain at all, Billiver the "Clockwork Man" tore off his ragged clothes, fully revealing his golden, metal body.
Whoosh—!
Leaping up from the ground, with just a few bounds, he was back on the road. His red eyes, faintly glowing, stretched and contracted, easily locking onto Aiven in the rainforest on the other side.
Seeing the clockwork key turned back half a circle, with only a quarter of the overload status elapsed, he charged into the rainforest with a wide grin:
"Kaka, your body is quite tough, kid! But don't worry, we have plenty of time!"
Even though his opponent was not weak, he never thought he could possibly lose.
A moment later.
In the howling wind.
Swish! Boom! Clang! Clang!...
The sound of trees snapping, muffled thunder, metal clashing... filled the air, as if two massive, at least ten-meter-long primordial beasts were fighting to the death in the forest, causing the ground to tremble like an earthquake.
Boom—
The rainforest was pierced through again, a figure leaping across the road, crashing into the other side of the rainforest, with another figure following closely.
Far exceeding normal, the two had activated their ultimate states.
They clearly possessed the power to crush ordinary Tier 2 Knights. Without the Extraordinary Energy of Combat Qi, it was almost like a battle between two Great Knights.
"Huff..."
After two minutes of intense combat, Aiven felt the long-lost pressure. This creature, artificially created through Witchcraft, who knew how many precious materials it used.
Even with a Magic Pocket, Aiven had already switched Extraordinary Weapon-Level half-handed swords twice, yet the opponent's pale gold, unknown metallic body showed no significant damage.
Even over time, there was no sign of the implanted "Steam Furnace" inside the Clockwork Man weakening.
Though the two thin-edged straight swords had already been overwhelmed and destroyed.
But relying on an extremely hard body, the Clockwork Man turned every part of his body into a supreme weapon; every punch, elbow, and kick was as heavy as a siege hammer carrying a force of ten thousand pounds!
Boom—
A tree, so thick it took two men to encircle, was snapped by Billiver's kick as heavy as a guillotine. Aiven rolled away to dodge, as the flying wood chips turned another large tree behind him into a beehive.
Just as Aiven pondered whether to break his "White Knight" persona to use Witchcraft or employ measures beyond a "Great Knight" level.
As Billiver, the "Clockwork Man," lifted a thick tree trunk ready to swing at Aiven, an abrupt grating sound echoed from his waist again.
Clearly, the more intricate the body structure, the stronger the effect of the Misfortune Curse.
"Damn it!"
"Chance!"
In the instant Billiver's body stiffened, Aiven exhaled lightly and sprang up, the sword slightly shrouded in white mist, slashing toward the metal head that served as his core.
Screech—
Even though Billiver tilted his head abruptly at the critical moment, the blade still grazed his forehead.
The long-awaited Steel-Slaying Realm sliced through a small part of the metal body, taking away half of his red eye, and maybe some... unknown parts.
Since being transformed into this form, Billiver had never been so close to death. The damage to the hardware and the threat of death shattered the part of him that belonged to human reason.
The next instant, the red glow in his single eye was extinguished, and a cold, mechanical voice emitted like that of a music box.
"Click! Mode switch! Cheetah!"
Whiz—
As his fists clenched, three claw-like blades glowing a ghostly blue popped out from the backs of each hand, obviously envenomed.
A thirteen-segmented tail extended from his lumbar spine. On all fours, he leapt between trees like a cat, carrying a fishy wind as he pounced on Aiven.
Compared to before, his speed increased by nearly twenty percent!
By now, Aiven dared not use the Desperate Thunder Swordsmanship without mastering the Secret Technique against him. His body suddenly became ethereal, and it was impossible to discern how many illusions there were in an instant.
