Players Invade Cyberpunk

Chapter 150: Ganbi Mansion here I come!

"Chemical plant explosion?"

Arthur Jenkins frowned.

Just run, what's it got to do with Huang Ban?

Besides, Night City doesn't mind a bit more pollution, and pharmaceutical companies can even profit from it.

Unless...

He quickly pushed aside the agent and dashed out, looking up at the sky.

Under the distant reddish sky, some sparks were gradually drifting from the dock towards Huang Ban Beach.

Is this a plan to take a shortcut?

And aren't these sparks a bit strange?

Jenkins keenly noticed that the distance between these sparks was a bit too wide, nothing like the neat formation of an air car with four tilt-rotor engines.

"What are they carrying in the air car?"

The agent beside him replied, "It should be liquid propane, something reportedly churned out by the newly approved recycling plant by the city council."

Propane?

Isn't that a highly dangerous chemical product?

A sense of unease surged within Jenkins.

He could understand the other party's motive to seek refuge in Huang Ban's airspace from the fire, but unfortunately, what's this got to do with Huang Ban?

Get lost!

"Reject the passage request and let them find their own routes."

The agent was dripping with sweat: "Uh... they haven't applied for passage permission from us, they are just heading straight toward us."

"?!?!"

Jenkins' scalp twisted.

"Immediately dispatch drone and air force units and shoot them down!"

-----

Life always finds its own way out.

Criminals always find their own ways to crime.

Players always find their own ways to have fun.

In the trash mountain, gambling on air cars made of trash has become a routine gamble for novice players hoping for a night's fortune, though their aim isn't precise, but there's no resisting the numbers.

After these two months, the warehouse has already accumulated dozens of air car engines, good or bad alike.

And someone like Jianxue, always up for anything fun, certainly wouldn't miss out on such special tools.

Though professionals like Mantou wouldn't touch things they don't understand, amateur players don't care so much.

I think this thing can make me fly.JPG

The single-man aircraft for his good brother last time was one of them.

Simultaneously patching several tilt-rotor engines together to create one's own air car is also something players are attempting.

In the Wanderer tribe, this sort of thing is known as Punk Noise, and they've even sought much advice from Adcardo.

Except the players are even more extreme, even more crazy than the Wanderers.

No concept of safety ratings!

No concept of standard protocols!

Only brute force works wonders!

All engines at maximum power, flew to hundreds of meters altitude, rushing towards Huang Ban Beach at high speed!

Six tilt-rotor engines welded under a big iron box, one fuel tank, one driver's seat, and nothing else!

Nobody knows whether the solidified Chun Er in the tank burns out first, or the gear goes haywire, taking everyone down.

How long it'll fly, how far it'll reach, only heaven knows!

Players haven't even prepared parachutes!

Jianxue stands on the deck of this patched-up air car, constantly shedding parts as it flies, feeling the strong wind on his face, eyes filled with excitement.

If a normal air car were a Ferrari, what they're driving probably resembles the rusty convertible with the roof and seats ripped out, in the hands of an African uncle.

He turned and loudly shouted at his good brother staring mystified at the few control rods ahead of the driver's seat.

"This is the time to add some BGM! Turn on the speakers for me!"

His good brother glanced at the single-page thick operation manual Jianxue prepared for him, then pressed a green button.

Soon enough, a tune filled with Showa-era vibes blared out from the speakers, so loud even Huang Ban Beach staff on the ground could hear it clearly.

Except none of them could understand what the tune represents, nor why this bunch of lunatics in the sky has the mind to play music while fleeing.

But if it were Huang Ban Sanlang, familiar with zero-type operations, he'd surely know it inside out.

Jianxue looked at the swarm of drones rushing up from below, not flustered at all, even shouting at them.

"Die as light as feather, duty is heavy as mountain, World united as one, Seven lives for the country!"

"Enemy troops are approaching, everyone move forward at full speed! His Majesty Sun Xiaochuan Emperor, Banzai!!!"

His imposing manner was so real, even if Huang Ban Sanlang came, he'd pale in comparison.

If the ground's unreachable, then the air it is; afraid Huang Ban might find out his identity, then let's bomb ourselves to bits!

The players bought every engine in the warehouse, tirelessly transporting them to the Watson District, down the sewer, connecting and welding them all together temporarily, managing to gather five air cars.

The air cars packed can after can of propane

Propane, this chemical has a rather homely name.

Liquefied gas.

It's a byproduct of petroleum cracking, and also one of the alkanes produced in plastic photolysis, with minimal pollution when burned.

It has quite a market in Night City, many restaurants still use it for cooking, so it's quite common, predicted as the main future product of recycling plants.

Only now did the players hitch onto it for mischief.

Other players on the air cars, too, understand the atmosphere, laughter blaring.

"Banzai!!!"

"Shattered jewel!!!"

The six tilt-rotor engines fully blasted, swiftly crossing the ground's Huang Ban fire line.

Every welded air car groaned under the strain, their structural frames taken from car bodies struggling under the engine power, let alone each engine possibly ripping the entire air car apart in-flight due to poor control.
