Qi Fei comforted, "We won't be late. We drive fast."

Gao Xuan drove out from the manor, still unfamiliar with the city. Fortunately, with Qi Fei's guidance, the roads were smooth and he quickly reached the school gate.

Several security guards and teachers stood at the school gate, maintaining strict vigilance. Parents were not allowed to enter. To Gao Xuan's surprise, Qi Fei actually went into the school.

He wasn't sure if Qi Fei was a teacher or if Qi Yan was just that influential to have bought off the school.

The children don't get out of school at noon. Parents only need to pick them up in the evening.

Gao Xuan drove back to the Dragon Soaring Martial Arts Hall and paid a visit to the old man, Ma Boyuan, recounting the situation with the Qi Family.

The old man was delighted, seeing Gao Xuan's vibrant spirits, so different from before. Plus, he found a good job.

He mentioned that Qi Yan was quite formidable, with her company growing larger, inevitably making some enemies. Rumor had it that there was a feud with the Red Knife Gang, hence a significant investment in security.

The city is very safe, especially when it comes to taking children to and from school. Just stay a little more alert.

The old man was experienced, and Gao Xuan listened respectfully, managing to score a lunch there.

At his master's home, Gao Xuan felt too embarrassed to eat much.

Upon reaching the main building, Qi Yan was on the sofa in the living room reading. Seeing Gao Xuan, Qi Yan put down her book and asked, "Qi Fei told me you drive well. And steadily too."

Gao Xuan chuckled, "Then you won't need to send a car to follow anymore?"

Qi Yan was a bit surprised. She thought for a moment but didn't answer the question, instead asking, "I heard you have quite an appetite?"

"I can eat and fight," Gao Xuan replied.

Qi Yan chuckled, "Well said."

As Gao Xuan left, Elder Housekeeper Li appeared and said, "This person speaks flippantly and eats a lot..."

Before Housekeeper Li could finish, Qi Yan interrupted, "Extraordinary people do extraordinary things. This is an unusual person."

She glanced softly at the old housekeeper, "Surely, we can afford someone who eats?"

The old housekeeper was startled and quickly bowed in silence.

With Qi Yan's word, the kitchen always prepared twenty servings worth of food for Gao Xuan. Within days, his reputation as a big eater spread.

A few weeks later, Gao Xuan received his first paycheck. Though he only worked half a month, Qi Yan paid him a full month's wage, four thousand dollars.

With his salary, Gao Xuan first bought some gifts to visit his master and then treated his master and senior brother to a meal.

In the following days, whenever Gao Xuan was free during the day, he'd seek out buffets.

Buffets ranged from a few dozen to a few hundred dollars a person. Once Gao Xuan visited, he'd be blacklisted and wouldn't be allowed back a second time.

His reputation as a buffet killer quickly spread, and the story grew increasingly exaggerated. Even the wealthy heard about Qi Yan's super-eating bodyguard.

One day, Qi Yan hosted a banquet at home, entertaining her friends and business partners.

The chef prepared a whole roasted cow, a traditional feature of a Golden City banquet. Having a roasted whole cow showed the host's sincerity.

When the roasted whole cow was placed on the table, everyone laughed, "The roasted cow has arrived; President Qi is truly thoughtful."

"Every banquet has it prepared, yet no one ever eats it, which is such a waste..."

Qi Yan's good friend, Qian Jiayu, suddenly said, "Sister Yan, I heard you have an especially big eater at your place. Since there's a whole roasted cow, why not have him over to give it a try..."

Everyone cheered at the suggestion.
