Chapter 561: Anger of Failure

The second floor was mainly used for accomodation and it was a suite.
At this moment, An Ying was sitting on the sofa in the living room, a cigarette in his mouth. The windows were wide-open and one could feel the cold winds that makes one shiver whenever it swept past them.
Huang He had sat down for two minutes.
An Ying only looked at him but didn’t say a word.
A few of his henchmen stood behind him. They were quiet as a statue.
The atmosphere was especially cold and dreadful.
Tian Danyue’s gaze remained lowered the entire time. She didn’t look at An Ying, leaving Huang He to face An Ying’s unfriendly gaze alone.
“Hur!” An Ying suddenly sneered coldly, biting the cigarette in his mouth. He suddenly picked up the ashtray on the coffee table and threw it at Huang He without rhyme or reason.
“You dare to look at me? You still dare to look at me?” He cursed, “D*mmit!”
Huang He didn’t avoid it. The ashtray landed on his shoulder heavily.
Tsk! That was painful. His eyebrows were crumpled together but he continued to look at An Ying without a change in expression.
“Brother Ying, if you want to find someone to vent your anger on, I don’t think I’m up to the task.”
An Ying gritted his teeth and pressed the half-finished cigarette against the coffee table. A faint burning smell started to fill the air. Then, he slammed the table and started to chastise him.
“You’ve got some bleeping guts! You dared to betray me!? Are you tired of living, huh?”
Huang He paused for a second. “What exactly happened?”
“You still have the cheek to ask me about it?” An Ying bit his cheek in anger, the corners of his lips twitching. He seemed to be overflowing with rage. “Why did the police arrest everyone else in the cement factory but let you off? Come on, give me your f*cking explanation.”
Huang He swept a glance at Tian Danyue.
In his previous conversation with An Ying, they didn’t talk about this problem.
An Ying might have thought that the arrest happened after Huang He left the place. Huang He didn’t talk to him about this matter as well.
Now that he was so certain about it, he must have gotten hold of what had happened at the cement factory.
Huang He raised an eyebrow and deliberately showed a proud smirk. “It’s simple! That’s because I know that detective, Qi Canghai. He used to be my subordinate.”
An Ying sneered. “So, he just let you off like this?”
“So Brother Ying is suspecting me?” Huang He looked calmly at the raging An Ying. “I know Qi Canghai, I also know a lot of police officers. Otherwise, why do you think I have the guts to tell you that I will be an asset to you and help you establish a smuggling route? Brother Ying, that’s my advantage. Didn’t you already know?”
An Ying squinted at him, revealing a sinister sneer. “That’s all?”
“Yeah, as simple as that.”
“You’ve nothing else to say?”
“Nope.”
“Then tell me, how did the police manage to find the cement factory?”
“How would I know?” Huang He looked innocent. “You’re the one who asked me to go to this place then go to another place. I didn’t know that the goods were at the cement factory. Moreover, throughout the journey, myself, Danyue and Little Zeng moved together. I was never alone. Did Brother Ying think that I had the chance to tip off the police?”
An Ying looked at him without another word.
Huang He knocked his forehead a few times and laughed due to anger.
“If I’m the mole, shouldn’t the police wait for me to leave then look for an opportunity to arrest them all? Who would be so stupid to expose himself as a mole so blatantly at such an early stage? Frankly speaking, I’m lucky to have gotten away unscathed with the goods in my hands. If the one who stopped me was not Qi Canghai but another police officer, I would have been taken to the police station as was those brothers.”
“You sure know how to talk.” An Ying glared at him. “Go on, continue, I want to hear what else you will say!”
“I couldn’t continue.” Huang He placed his hands on his knees, shaking his head. “Right from the beginning till the end, I’m the one who is being kept in the dark by all of you. How is it possible to provide any information to the police when I don’t have any information to begin with? Brother Ying, you’re a smart person, you think it over yourself.”
An Ying’s gaze was indifferent.
A moment later, he suddenly asked a question. “Do you know what else happened tonight?”
Huang He raised an eyebrow. “I don’t know. What happened?”
An Ying gritted his teeth as he stared at him. “Our Operation Heaven’s Wrath is ruined!”
Ruined?
Huang He felt elated to hear that, he almost couldn’t conceal his feelings of joy.
“Eh?… How did it get ruined?”
With regards to Operation Heaven’s Wrath, he really had no idea about it.
An Ying scrutinized his expression and felt that this matter indeed had nothing to do with Huang He. He spat angrily on the floor.
“D*mmit! That stupid fellow Gou Qing! We already fixed our operation on Lunar New Year’s Eve. But he actually defied my orders. He jolly well knew that we have a lot of goods kept in Jin City yet he went fooling around with women. That’s not all, he even issued goods out earlier to a girl which created a case and alerted the police…”
The ‘zombie’ cases in the Capital were just trial runs.
They had wanted to attract the police’s attention to the Capital.
Jin City, the real place where they were actually holding the drugs, was not supposed to have such occurrences till Lunar New Year’s Eve.
“Stupid people! Such stupid people!” An Ying didn’t know how to vent his emotions. After slamming twice on the coffee table heavily, he covered his face, pulled his hair and his fingers shook in anger. “Well, I’m prepared to fight it out with them. I passed down the order that we’ll bring forward our plans at midnight sharp today. In the end, d*mmit, the cops actually took over our system and got hold of the name list. Now all those people in the list are worried. From what I know, the police have taken away a bunch for investigations…”
He lifted his head slowly to look at Huang He.
His eyes were a faint blood-red out of anger.
“Operation Heaven’s Wrath has failed utterly.”
Hurhurhurhurhur…
Huang He broke into peals of laughter inside.
But his face was filled with pain, sympathy and regret.
“Aye! So what should we do now?”
He was thinking about the goods he had on the car.
That was the only batch of goods left in An Ying’s disposal.
An Ying seemed miserable. “I don’t know how I am going to account for this… So much money is now gone for nothing. They… I don’t think they will let me off.”
Huang He asked, “They?”
An Ying sneered and shot a glance at him. “Do you think I’m the one who created all these drugs? Do you know how much money is being invested here… They gave all these drugs to us and the plan got ruined in my hands. Do you get it? It got ruined in my hands!”
He understood now.
An Ying, it’s because you’re not smart enough! He retorted in his head.
The ones who supplied him the drugs.
Or the ones who provided him money.
They could be some influential triads from overseas.
Huang He consoled him after remaining silent for a while. “Brother Ying, don’t be too disheartened…”
After all, there are still many days ahead to be disheartened … thought Huang He.
Huang He was gloating inside whereas An Ying got up slowly from the sofa.
“But, we still have an opportunity…”
“Opportunity?” Huang He was puzzled.
“Yup, the goods with you are quite substantial. What we are now going to do is to create a major case that will take the world by storm!”
“This time,” grunted An Ying, whose heavy expression became excited again. “I’m going to personally witness… how Grand Orchid Pavilion will turn into hell!”
What?!
Huang He gasped.
That night, it was rather crowded at Grand Orchid Pavilion.
At this very place, they could hear and make out the deafening music and hollers of the partygoers downstairs…
They were partying.
They were partying to welcome the Lunar New Year!
They had no idea that death would befall them soon…
When Huang He thought about the goods on the car, he felt like his heart had been dipped in icy cold water.
“Brother Ying, the purpose of Operation Heaven’s Wrath is to punish evildoers and uphold justice? Aren’t we going against the original intention of Operation Heaven’s Wrath when we randomly pick targets to execute our plan?”
“I don’t care about that anymore. The end result will be the same anyway!”
An Ying was indeed forced into a corner and was really desperate. His cold, unfeeling sneers were like the claws of the devil.
“Those partying at this hour wouldn’t be good people anyway! Just let them die! I want all of them to die!”
Huang He felt a tug in his heart when he heard this and he stood up immediately.
“Sure, I’ll make the arrangements.”
“There’s no need to!” An Ying’s sidelong glance was as cold as a blade. “I’ve already made arrangements. You, just stay with me and watch this splendid show together!”.
