Note: Real chapter will be updated in a few hours. Been filling in double shifts since last week.. I am sorry. Once this novel gains the right momentum, I will quit doing double shifts. This is the last one. Last win-win of this month.

{Master, I am sorry about your loss. And I knew she liked you all along.}
What loss, idiot? Don't talk to me. I am not in the mood for one of your jokes. After all, If you knew all along why didn't you tell me?
{Master, I can't always hand things to you on a silver platter. If I tell you everything, you will always rely on me. And one day, I might make the wrong decision and stifle your growth. Also, despite my numerous hints and encouragement to approach her, you ignored my advice.}
Ahh… I should have figured it out. She was somewhat unpredictable to me. She didn't express any interest in me. Heck, her aloof personality didn't make me realize it all this while.
Right now, I want to go and meet Lena and apologize to her. Heck, I wasn't even at fault, but… an angry person is as dangerous as a wild animal. Most times, they make irrational decisions. I can't have my throat or dick severed because of a woman… no, because of a pussy.
{Master… don't say that.}
Haha, I could have been smitten by her because I was a pathetic virgin all this time. I am not even sure what my true feelings towards her are. However, I realized that I am more drawn to her than Menora or Reiko.
{That is it, master! That is it! Yes, you are in love with Lena. All of these signs should be enough. I believe you are just not confident enough, especially after the unfortunate incident that occurred moments ago. Besides, you shouldn't blame yourself; Lena would have eventually learned about your relationship with Reiko sooner or later.}
That's right… that would have been crazier.
{Kekeke, your dick might be sliced off instead. Furthermore, you still have a lot of tasks ahead of you. You have to get stronger, get your revenge against your friends, and capt— ahem, live your life to the fullest.}
You sound weird, Darkus, What are you hiding from me?
{Nothing– there's absolutely nothing I am hiding from you. Besides, why don't you take a step outside and cool your head off? Drink some booze and watch some whores shake their booties, fufu.}
"..."
{。◕‿◕。}
You always make me feel better in some way, haha. Besides, it doesn't seem polite for me to stay right now. I am not sure if Lena will change her mind, but Imt hoping for the best. I will avoid her for now and possibly join a new team of losers.
In the next moment, I get up and leave Reiko's room. As I walk out, I hear a loud argument taking place inside Lena's room. The two sisters are having a heated argument.
Damn…
Moving quietly, I enter my room and retrieve my clothes and my remaining money, approximately nine silver coins.
Tiptoeing, I avoid being noticed until I finally leave the house.

I am currently walking through the bustling streets of Whadoomeelf. Because Lena's house is in the mountains, the journey from there to here is relatively easy; it is a soft flex to descend with such powerful momentum without breaking a sweat. However, this is not going to be the case if I return.
Though I don't have anywhere in mind to go right now, I have decided to put Darkus' advice into action. I want to do most of the things that I was unable to do in my previous life.
I come to a halt in front of an old rectangular wooden board with a shattered signboard that is barely hanging on. I can't see what is written on it because of how derelict it is. There are several men and women in front of the building who I assume are prostitutes or alcoholics. Some of the men, about two, are puking, while a thick, burly man tries to chase them away. The chicks, who are all human, are conversing with the men.
"This should suffice, right?" I ask Darkus, growing skeptical of the tavern.
{Fufu, it's fine to me. This world is a bit different from yours…}
Well, there isn't that much of a difference. According to what I have heard and seen online, it is fairly common to see drunk men puking around the bar.
Without thinking, I enter the tavern. As I walk in, a very strong scent wafts into my nose: the smell of booze. Looking around, I notice a large number of people, mostly men, seated in groups around square-shaped tables. On the other side of the tavern, there is a long wooden platform where people are drinking alone. Aside from that, there is nothing noteworthy other than the whores shaking their asses while serving beers to customers.
I simply referred to them as whores because, despite being new here, I have witnessed the customers' perverted behavior toward them, such as smacking their asses, fondling their breasts, and fingering their pussies. To top it all off, they are walking around in skimpy goth dresses with no panties.
Holy moly fuck....
{Is that even a thing?}
Facing forward, I ignore the other customers' piercing gazes and approach the innkeeper. As I get closer to him, I realize he is an elderly man dressed in a blue tunic shirt and gray pants with a muscular body. His long, gray beard, which is exquisitely carved, sets him apart from the others around. It fits perfectly with his wide face.
"Which part?" Bobby asked, feigning ignorance.
"How you blew your entire year's savings, man. It's unbelievable. And not even on a chick you got to sleep with!"
"It all happened so fast," Bobby sighed, his voice heavy with regret.
"Wasn't it that Hawk Tuah chick?"
"Y-Yeah…"
"Damn it, Bobby! I told you to stop watching her podcasts. I never liked her. You got pissed when I said guys were simps for giving her attention. Now look! She played you with her crypto scam, and you're back to square one. I don't even know what to say anymore." David shook his head, covering his face with his hands.
Bobby leaned back against the shack, his smile faint but filled with resignation. "What's done is done, man. No point crying over it. Besides, I'm happy for you. You're getting married next month, you've got a baby on the way, and you're finally leaving this godforsaken job. You're moving on."
David glanced at him, seeing through the small smile to the sadness Bobby couldn't hide. It was all there, etched into his friend's face—the pain, the regret, and the longing for something better.
When David realized he'd been too harsh on his friend, he let out a deep sigh, the weight of guilt settling in.
"Look, Bobby, I'm sorry for snapping at you earlier. I guess I was just pissed because that girl didn't even spit on your thang, let alone anything else." David shook his head, a smirk forming on his face. "But honestly, it could've happened to me too. We're both womanizers, after all—birds of the same feathers, huh? Anyway, after thinking it over, I came up with a plan. Next week, we're both quitting this damn job."
Bobby's eyes widened. He shot up from his resting position, sitting upright to make sure he hadn't misheard.
"Wait, what? Come again?"
"I said," David repeated with a grin, "I've got a plan for the both of us to leave this shitty job. Since you lost all your money, I'll give you ten thousand dollars from my savings to cover your upkeep. But listen—this is just the start. My fiancée and I have been working on something behind the scenes, and it finally paid off!"
Bobby leaned in, his heart pounding as he hung on David's every word.
"I landed a job for both of us. It pays up to five thousand dollars a month—and six if we do overtime! I was actually planning to tell you this morning before you dropped that bombshell about the crypto scam," David said, his smile beaming with pride.
The words hit Bobby like a bolt of lightning. Without thinking, he threw his arms around David, pulling him into a tight embrace.
"WE MADE IT! WE FINALLY MADE IT!" Bobby roared, his voice cracking with emotion as tears streamed down his face. For the first time in what felt like forever, he saw a glimmer of hope, a miracle, even. And Bobby wasn't the kind of guy who believed in miracles.
David chuckled, patting his friend on the back. "Yeah, man, we made it. But don't you think this is a little weird? Two grown men hugging it out like this? If anyone saw us, they might think—"
"Shut up!" Bobby barked, quickly pulling away.
