Heaven Slaying Blade

Chapter 1874: The Mysterious Continent

Their team was still divided into ten groups, each maintaining a relatively safe distance from one another. This ensured that if one team encountered danger, the other teams could arrive in the shortest possible time.

The seven thousand ancestral realm cultivators were also reasonably allocated by Fan Wudi. Each team, on average, included about over seven hundred ancestral realm cultivators responsible for maintaining the formation.

In most cases, the seven hundred or so ancestrals could handle the situation directly.

They continued to delve deeper, advancing further into the depths.

The resources collected were also increasing in quantity.

In their minds, Fan Wudi and the others were calculating the Pangu calendar, knowing that it was now over fourteen thousand years into the Pangu era.

On this day, news was relayed back by an ancestral scout. He reported discovering a new continent about ten hours ahead!

This news greatly excited Fan Wudi and the others.

Over the years, most of their top cultivation resources were obtained from the floating continents in the cosmos.

The resources among the stars were actually not plentiful. Of course, this is relative. The resources on the stars generally meant little for cultivators of the ancestral level, but they were still significant for those below that level.

When they encountered resources, they did not waste any, collecting them all and classifying them according to their levels.

Each of the ten teams had a comprehensive system given to them by Chu Hui. This system could even automatically detect the grade of resources and classify them automatically.

According to the scout's message, the continent ahead was unprecedented in size!

This indicates that there should be an even richer store of cultivation resources on that continent!

Resources are the key to propelling the entire Pangu world forward more quickly and efficiently. Thus, everyone was thrilled upon hearing this news.

Fan Wudi was also very happy, yet amidst his joy, he remained vigilant. He cautioned everyone to proceed with caution.

Because the emergence of such a supercontinent could mean that there may be unknown life forms there. They wished to obtain the resources, but those life forms would not allow the resources of their homeland to be taken away.

Therefore, the relationship between the two sides could be said to be inherently antagonistic and almost irreconcilable.

In truth, without Fan Wudi's reminder, everyone was already experienced.

Massive warships sped through the void towards that continent. Quickly, they broke the speed of light and began space jumping.

Over two hours later, this group finally saw the vast continent ahead.

They were all somewhat stunned because this continent… was truly enormous!

Even though someone had relayed the information earlier, hearing it from others and seeing it with one's own eyes were two different matters entirely.

This continent, to not exaggerate, looked almost as large as the continent of the Pangu world!

This was definitely a mysterious place hidden in this cosmic void!

"In such a vast world, how many resources must there be?" A cultivator beside Fan Wudi looked in awe at the boundless continent before them, unable to help but marvel.

Another cultivator said in a deep voice, "There certainly won't be a lack of resources. At the very least, the various minerals will surely be quite abundant. It's impossible for such a boundless world to be just rock, right? Moreover, I feel a very strong life force from it. Where there is life, the resources are generally not poor."

Following this, Fan Wudi ordered the troops to organize, and after aligning all the teams, the army composed of tens of thousands of human cultivators flew directly towards this mysterious and unknown continent.

From their current position, there was still an endlessly vast distance to this continent. By their strength, it would take at least another hour of flight to reach it.

However, everyone was puzzled as they had been flying for an hour and a half, yet the continent still seemed as distant as ever.

Fan Wudi immediately ordered the team to halt, a grave expression in his eyes. Everyone else was equally confused, not comprehending why that continent remained just as distant after flying for so long.

"There are two possibilities," Fan Wudi said, looking at those around him with a solemn voice, "The first possibility is that we encountered a void mirage. This continent does not exist; everything we see is mere illusion."

"Impossible, General? I can even feel a strong life force from the continent!" someone questioned in doubt.

However, another remarked, "Perhaps it is a deliberate illusion released by some intelligent life form?"

In the past, someone would probably have scoffed at this, thinking how could such a massive intelligent life form exist? But after years of cosmic exploration, they had encountered many miraculous life forms. They had seen the most bizarre ones.

So, this theory might not be entirely dismissible,

Fan Wudi continued, "The second possibility is that this continent is real, but it is surrounded by a powerful array protecting it. Think about it, how could such a resource-rich world not have a boundary to protect it from foreign invasions over endless eras?"

Everyone nodded, agreeing that such a possibility indeed existed.

"Then General, what should we do now?" one cultivator asked Fan Wudi.

Fan Wudi glanced at the crowd and asked, "Is anyone proficient in arrays?"

At this moment, more than ten thousand cultivators stepped forward from the crowd. Before attaining their paths, they all entered through arrays, and in this domain, they were considered experts.

"Is anyone skilled at breaking illusions?" Fan Wudi continued to ask.

At this moment, at least a hundred thousand Human Clan cultivators stepped out from the crowd!

Clearly, there were more people who were proficient and skilled in this aspect.

"Those skilled in arrays, immediately join forces and investigate bit by bit. Remember, you must ensure your own safety. This place is not ordinary," Fan Wudi said patiently.

Subsequently, Fan Wudi said to those skilled in breaking illusions: "The same goes for you, investigate bit by bit. Do not overlook any clue."

"Yes, sir!"

Both groups responded loudly, then began to take action.

In the void.

Chu Mo, following the previously agreed signal, kept tracking the whereabouts of Fan Wudi and the others.

At a certain point, Chu Mo suddenly realized that the distance between them was increasing more and more. In the end, he completely lost contact with them.

However, Chu Mo's realm was much more profound. Thus, he could still discern the trajectory and path of the ten teams. Nevertheless, he continued to trace along the signal left by Fan Wudi's team.

Chu Mo's speed was too fast. He was using Pangu's body technique, and that forward speed was countless times faster than that of Fan Wudi's team.

Because the pioneering team was originally moving in fits and starts, their speed itself was much slower.

Toward the end, Chu Mo continuously began to tear the void, achieving an unbelievable speed. He even activated the domain of the gods!

The power of that domain was truly defiance of the heavens. It was as if he wasn't traversing the universe; instead, it seemed as though he was folding one universe after another and dragging them...madly through himself!

So, what would take others thousands of years to complete, Chu Mo had astonishingly accomplished in less than an hour.

Chu Mo, likewise, saw that vast, boundless continent, but he did not see Fan Wudi and their team!

He made no move to enter and stood at the place where Fan Wudi and their group had previously stood, his face extremely grave.

Then, he extended his hand and gently swept.

Immediately, a scene appeared before him. It was the scene where Fan Wudi and the others were assembling their troops previously.

Chu Mo watched intently. He wasn't looking at the scene of Fan Wudi organizing troops, but rather...the empty space between them and the continent! And that immense continent!

Chu Mo's eyes did not blink, and endless rule forces flowed from his eyes. Then, his eyes fixed on a certain corner of that continent. Subsequently, the scene froze, then enlarged, and enlarged again.

Until it was magnified a billion times!

A shocking scene appeared in a corner of that continent!

It was a giant boulder a hundred meters tall.

Across the endless distant star river, a hundred-meter boulder on that continent was truly an object smaller than dust by countless times.

But now, that place was infinitely magnified by Chu Mo. Then, on that boulder sat a child.

The child was wearing nothing but a red bellyband. Besides that, he was stark naked, appearing to be about two or three years old. What was somewhat creepy was the expression in that child's eyes!

His eyes lacked the innocence and purity of a child, instead filled with coldness and venom. Moreover, those eyes showed a look of endless wisdom! Clearly, this child's body was full of mystery.

Although it was an already past scene, Chu Mo still felt as if the child seemed to see him. The still image could not move, yet Chu Mo felt that the look the child gave him was full of mockery, the corner of his mouth...seemingly curling into a sneer!

Even though Chu Mo had reached the domain of the gods, seeing this image still sent a chill through his entire body.

Then, Chu Mo waved his hand, dispelling the image.

The next moment, his figure suddenly appeared very close to that continent!

As if he had directly broken through an invisible illusion and barrier, Chu Mo nearly instantly reached the edge of the continent.

At this moment, a mighty roar suddenly emanated from the continent above.

Following it, a blood-red sword aura slashed directly toward him!

This sword aura was too fast!

Even though Chu Mo possessed Pangu's body technique, it was quite difficult to evade this sword aura.

He did not dodge but instead directly used the Heaven Slaying, slashing toward the sword aura.

Boom!
