The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 1938: I Spared You But Who Spares Me?

Carson Flores felt terrific!

Though he was clearly only at the Golden Immortal Early Stage, he could easily sweep aside a large group of Golden Immortal opponents!

The abnormal phenomenon of the Innate Taoist Body inherently has a power boost, far exceeding the realm of its owner. Carson himself had a whole body of Sword Bone, a Three-Inch Sword Screen that no one could break, and was wielding a Dragon Song Sword with the Ancestor of the Dragon Clan as its Artifact Spirit. Who among the Golden Immortals could stand against him?

Golden Immortal Realm invincible?

Who knows if he could withstand someone at the Heavenly Immortal stage!

Carson's side had only three people, but their opponents numbered around twenty. However, the outcome was clear as victory continued to tilt towards Carson's side.

Golden dragons danced, lights flashed, and heaven and earth shook.

The demon cultivator who teamed up with the old man was suddenly enveloped in a dazzling blood light; half of his body was severed and instantly transformed into a corpse devoid of any life force, while parts of the remaining body also turned into a corpse. Yet, a Defense Treasure on him saved his life.

Seeing this, the old man's face changed dramatically. He knew that continuing to fight would likely lead to total annihilation.

This woman was terrifying!

Even if the two of them joined forces, they were no match for her!

"Stop!"

Everyone heard his cry and breathed a sigh of relief as they quickly retreated.

Carson Flores and Selah Ellison Immortal Lord did not pursue them, just coldly watched the old man in silence.

The old man was sweating profusely, his intestines twisted in regret.

How could he have known this man and woman were so strong, especially the woman? If they brought out the strongest in the Sect, it probably still wouldn't be enough.

This strength could very well belong to an Immortal Monarch!

Looking at his severely injured and dead disciples, his heart bled. But since he lost, he had to say something to resolve the matter.

The old man gritted his teeth, bowed and lowered his head: "Honored Envoys, I have eyes but couldn't see, offended you both. I humbly ask your magnanimity, spare us."

Carson Flores sneered: "What, begging for mercy now?"

The old man felt his dignity was trampled upon but had no choice. He bit his lip, enduring humiliation and nodded: "Yes, it's all my fault, I admit defeat. This matter has nothing to do with others or the Hundred Demons Sect. Whatever penalty you decide, I will accept."

Carson's face showed even more mockery: "Just earlier, you ordered to ambush us, didn't you? Ambushing the Immortal Palace Envoy, tsk tsk, quite audacious!"

The old man didn't want to flee, but making the situation worse could mean both he and the Hundred Demons Sect would have to run.

As Carson stated, ambushing the Immortal Palace Envoy couldn't be taken lightly.

He had been driven by Selah Ellison Immortal Lord's killing spree, getting bold. The Demon Race had been ignoring the Celestial Palace and oppressing the Human Race for too long, thus the ambush order.

At the time, he thought as long as everyone was killed, what trouble would there be?

This was, after all, the Heavenly Demon Continent!

If he had won, the outcome would have been as he expected, without major issues. Unfortunately, he miscalculated the strength of the two, losing thoroughly!

The old man bowed with a bitter face: "It was a moment of impulse, I am willing to compensate!"

Carson coldly laughed: "And how do you plan to compensate?"

The old man's eyes brightened slightly, probing: "I am willing to offer fifty million Spirit Stones as an apology."

Carson turned his head and smiled: "Selah, so our lives are only worth fifty million Spirit Stones?"

Selah Ellison Immortal Lord's eyes were filled with fury: "Let's just kill them all."

Carson laughed: "Killing them all would make us seem aggressive, not giving the Demon Race face on the Heavenly Demon Continent. How about this: since you ordered the ambush against us, I won't make things difficult for them. You commit suicide, and I'll consider the matter settled and won't bother the Hundred Demons Sect."

Suicide?

The old man's face grew even more bitter: "Could we change the condition? This is really too harsh."

"Harsh?"

Carson coldly laughed, then unexpectedly, with a carefree wave of his hand, said: "You may leave."

The old man thought he misheard, his eyes wide: "Envoy...letting us go?"

Carson calmly said: "Since you are unwilling to commit suicide, I won't force you. As the Immortal Palace Envoy, being ambushed by your Sect's forces on the Heavenly Demon Continent, I will report this to the Round Table Council. I expect they will provide me an explanation."

The old man's face suddenly turned pale.

The Round Table Council!

The Round Table Council was the highest governing body on the Heavenly Demon Continent, jointly presided over by seven sects. Carson bringing this to the council meant he was ready to force them into a resolution.

The Hundred Demons Sect was doomed!

With no courage for suicide, the old man was forced to think of alternatives. Although it would implicate the Sect, living was better than dying.

In dire situations, he could flee to the ends of the earth.

Better than suicide.

Carson ignored the despondent old man, calling over the merman: "Take your wife and leave with us. Let's get out of here first."

The merman didn't waste words, having survived, knew staying meant no chance of life. Without hesitation, he dove into the water and soon returned to the surface with a female merman.

The old man, eyes filled with despair, suddenly knelt on the ground: "Envoy, it is all my fault. I kneel and apologize, please spare me and the Hundred Demons Sect."

Carson remained unmoved, calmly saying: "If I were weaker, my soul would have scattered now. If I forgive you, who would forgive me?"
