Los Angeles Legendary Sleuth

Chapter 514: Fierce Battle

Near downtown, Somes Community.

A black van parked close to a three-story apartment building.

Luke looked towards the three-story apartment not far away through the car window.

Sitting next to him were Lynn Brouss and Armand Hains, also looking out the window.

Armand Hains said, "The address on that note is this place.

This apartment is now under the ownership of Rapudo Abbas, and he owns the entire building.

I just checked, the people coming and going are all Middle Eastern men.

It's very likely one of the terrorist hideouts."

Lynn Brouss asked, "Can you confirm if Hard Abbas is in this apartment?"

"No, but I don't think Hassan Hussein would dare to deceive the FBI."

Lynn Brouss, showing no complete trust in a Middle Easterner, asked, "How many people roughly live in this apartment?"

Armand Hains answered, "The apartment has three floors, with eight rooms on each floor. I had someone check the utilities, and about 15 rooms are occupied. Based on water usage, the number of people is roughly estimated between 15 and 20."

Lynn Brouss said, "We still need to confirm.

Otherwise, once action begins, it could result in a large-scale conflict, and if Hard Abbas is not hiding in the apartment, it will be hard to wrap up."

Luke suggested, "When I passed by just now, I saw there's a convenience store 200 meters from here, the closest one to the apartment.

The people living in this apartment are very likely to shop at that convenience store, and the store owner may know of Hard Abbas. If the store has surveillance, it may have captured images of Hard Abbas."

Lynn Brouss followed up, "Consultant Li, do you have an action plan?"

Luke pondered for a moment and said, "The convenience store is quite close to the apartment. I worry there might be some connection with the people in the apartment, and they might cover for them or even alert them.

If so, we should quickly control the people at the store to prevent information leaks.

If those at the store have no relation to the people in the apartment, we can naturally persuade them and ask for their assistance."

Lynn Brouss looked at Armand Hains beside her, "What do you think?"

"Leave it to me!" Armand Hains opened the car door directly and got out.

Luke looked at Lynn Brouss beside him, "Any progress on the biochemical weapons investigation?"

"I spoke with the CDC head, creating such a biochemical weapon isn't easy. Moreover, this modified virus isn't only transmitted through the air.

It can also infect through the eyes and skin.

The premise for such strong transmission ability is lowering the body's immunity.

The CDC found a radioactive substance, Polonium, in the bodies of the terror attack victims.

This radioactive substance can lower the body's immunity, causing the victim to become infected and symptomatic in a very short time.

There are very few channels to obtain such radioactive material. We found one seller, only to discover he drowned in his own toilet.

The corpse already reeked bad.

The trail is broken."

Luke asked, "No clues to the killer?"

"Not yet," Lynn Brouss said, pointing at the nearby apartment.

"I suspect the killer might be in there.

In other words, our opponents are not just Hard Abbas, but everyone in that apartment.

They are a very united group. Whether or not they are linked to the terrorist attack, it won't be easy to take Hard Abbas out of the apartment. If they pick up weapons, they become terrorists." Looking at Luke, Lynn Brouss added,

"Don't worry, I've already called in the special ops team. They will assist us in capturing Hard Abbas."

"Click."

The van's door opened from the outside, and Armand Hains got into the car, saying, "Got the info. Hard Abbas does live in this apartment, and he's not alone. He has quite a few accomplices here, they often move around in groups, and most of them are armed."

Luke asked, "Do you know Hard Abbas's specific room number?"

"No."

Lynn Brouss confirmed, "Is the credibility high?"

Armand Hains nodded, "The other party probably didn't lie."

Lynn Brouss was silent for a moment and then took out a walkie-talkie, "This is A1, calling A2."

"A2, received."

"In five minutes, proceed with Plan One."

"Received."

Lynn Brouss turned off the walkie-talkie, "The special ops team is responsible for entering the apartment to capture Hard Abbas. We're placed around the apartment to prevent Hard Abbas from escaping amid chaos."

Armand Hains took out the apartment floor plan, "The apartment has two exits, front and back. The front is the main lobby, with stairs only and no elevator.

There's also an iron outdoor staircase at the back."

Lynn Brouss continued, "Per Plan One, the special ops team will go directly to the third floor via the back staircase and then search from top to bottom. Meanwhile, we are to guard both the front and back exits."

Armand Hains said, "I'll take people and guard the front door."

Luke said, "I'll take people and guard the staircase at the back of the apartment."

Five minutes later, a van and several black SUVs arrived near the apartment, with special ops teams and FBI agents getting out of the vehicles one after another.
