The Lord Demon King is Unfathomable!

Chapter 287: Proclaimed Fate (Part 4)

What kind of formidable strength could have destroyed this fortress built of solid rock to such an extent…

Even Urga, who had seen it once from the sky, remained silent.

Standing on this piece of rubble now, more than when flying above, he profoundly felt his own insignificance…

Gripping their fear of the Demon King's power, the group of Lizardmen finally arrived at an open space, with a stone platform abruptly rising from the center.

It was a stone platform summoned with Earth Magic, and the dried mud stains still remained on the flat surface of the rock, clearly freshly shaped.

Standing atop the stone platform was the Demon King, surrounded by the Lizardmen of the Armored Dragon Clan, among them nobles, priests, and soldiers.

From their expressions, it was clear they had already submitted to their new master.

They had been waiting here for quite some time!

As he gazed at the commanding figure atop the platform, Aisemata assumed the role of a servant, slowly bent a knee, respectfully and submissively touching the ground with one knee, softly speaking.

"Greetings, Your Majesty the Demon King."

Following Aisemata's lead, other Lizardman leaders and envoys also imitated, the sound of obeisance filled the open space with a continuous echo, resembling a grand gathering of nations.

Standing beneath the high platform, High Priest Zel slightly averted his gaze.

During the peak of the Holy Armor Dragon Kingdom's power, it never managed to achieve the willing submission of these savages, yet the Demon King accomplished it with just a look.

He gently sighed in his heart.

Indeed…

This lord truly came with a mission!

Standing on the high platform, Luo Yan had no clue of Zel's thoughts, nor did he care.

Today, the reason he had summoned his servants here was not for idle chit-chat to showcase his friendliness, but rather to make an important announcement.

Scanning the leaders kneeling on one knee, he spoke in a gentle tone.

"Everyone, rise."

With permission granted, the Lizardmen stood up, timidly raising their gaze to scrutinize the high platform, attempting to perceive the deeper meaning behind the majesty.

As Luo Yan's gaze swept across the scene, he wasted no words and directly declared in a majestic and steady voice the undisputed future of the Gana Continent—

"From today onwards, the Holy Armor Dragon Kingdom has become history, no longer exists."

In front of the high platform, there was an instant of dead silence.

All Lizardmen, whether from the Armored Dragon Clan or various tribes, collectively held their breath, awaiting the continuation of that majestic voice.

"…From now on, the Armored Dragon Clan will no longer exist as a single group, but will be split into twelve independent tribes based on living regions, merging with hundreds of other tribes on the Gana Continent to form—the Gutaf United Kingdom."

"As the sole legitimate political entity on the Gana Continent, the United Kingdom holds sovereignty over all territories and seas of the Gana Continent, being the shared country of the Dragon God's descendants, and also the extension of the Great Graveyard's will on the Gana Continent."

"Its lawful king is nominated by the Chief Council and approved by the Death Priest dispatched by the Great Graveyard. Each tribe will elect its Chieftain to join the Chief Council periodically, to deliberate national matters with the King of the Chosen, resolve internal disputes, and under the supervision of Acolytes, formulate laws for the common adherence."

Some Lizardmen of the Armored Dragon Clan lowered their heads. Most of them were former residents of Assam City.

Among them were soldiers, merchants, civil servants, nobles, and priests responsible for ritual activities, as well as assistant priests.

The dissolution of the Old Kingdom meant that their privileges, fiefs, and even the glory bestowed by the Dragon God would all turn to dust.

The days they relied on their status to speak were completely over from today.

In a corner of the square, an elderly noble secretively gripped the Scepter in his claws, his knuckles turning white. Yet in the end, he said nothing, only silently bowed his head and accepted fate.

Six days ago, High Priest Zel publicly revealed secrets unknown for a thousand years, and both direct and collateral branches of the Par Family were massacred by the enraged followers of the Dragon God.

Over a thousand heads rolled down the streets not far from here, blood forming a river. Even recalling that gruesome scene now, his heart trembled with fear.

Although blood sacrifices in Assam City occurred occasionally, those previously sacrificed were mostly slaves, far less shocking than the catastrophe six days ago.

In this tragic era, surviving had already become a rarity; he dared not think of anything else.

Besides the despondent nobles of old, there were some members of the Armored Dragon Clan whose eyes suddenly gleamed brightly.

They were from the borderlands, from the wilderness, once excluded from the core power of Assam City's Elder Council. The collapse of the kingdom certainly grieved them emotionally, but as being marginalized in the old order, they saw a new dawn within it.

Previously, they had to endure for Assam City's interests, but now they could voice for their own interests.

"Finally… It's our turn to speak." A sturdily-built member of the Armored Dragon Clan from the kingdom's frontier muttered, unable to suppress a slight excitement in his voice.

As for those Lizardmen originally from various tribes, their reactions were not strong, either thinking with interest or quietly waiting for the Demon King to continue speaking.

They didn't have a clear concept of establishing a brand-new kingdom, nor were they interested; letting go of their grudges with the Armored Dragon Clan wasn't that easy either. However, merely hearing what the Demon King said didn't seem to affect their interests much.
