The Lord Demon King is Unfathomable!

Chapter 221: Enclosure Movement_4

"Get lost!" Ges spat and glared at the fool who had no regard for authority, "This is my land, the land of the Gess family, and it has never belonged to you for even a minute! My ancestors only allowed you to farm on this land, and you've taken it as your own? This is the final warning; I'm giving you... three more days! And as punishment for your delays, I will dismantle your doors and windows... and your beds too!"

Ges eventually softened a bit, not going all-out, even though he initially intended to... After all, that's how the other Nobles did it, and he wouldn't have too much of a moral burden.

Perhaps Mrs. was right; he indeed wasn't a qualified Noble, wasting the Transcendent power given by his ancestors.

But none of that mattered now.

In the future, he would move to the city and never have to deal with these dirt farmers again.

That would be a truly dignified life; he could focus on the banquets he loved and mingle with distinguished gentlemen and ladies.

Even if he returned here, it would be to picnic with his family on the lawn, not to smell that disgusting pig manure odor.

He waved his hand, signaling the mercenaries to move forward and letting that Half-Elf Mage continue Casting.

He had spent a lot of money to bring these people here, and he couldn't let that money be wasted.

The mercenaries began to move.

They had no concern for the locals, throwing punches or kicks at any tenant farmers who blocked their way, then wielding their tools to smash anything breakable in their homes.

These poor folks had nothing valuable to loot in their homes, so naturally, the mercenaries didn't spend much time distinguishing between doors and tables.

They only knew that by completing the task pleasantly, they could earn Baron Ges's reward.

Angry roars and pitiful pleas echoed, making the outskirts of Silver Pine Town resemble Hell.

Old Adam's legs felt like they were filled with lead, his eyes vacant as he looked at the demolished huts, listening to the cries of his wife and children, as if he had lost the ability to speak.

Tom, the limping carpenter, chose to fight back, charging out with his firearm.

He probably didn't want to live anymore, and indeed didn't want to, as he attempted to attack the Mage with a fire iron.

As a result, the Half-Elf just lightly waved his Magic Wand, and his good leg was also crippled.

Fortunately, Baron Ges only paid for them to be taught a lesson, so that elegant Half-Elf did not kill anyone.

The town's residents kept their windows and doors tightly shut, as quiet as mice, not even daring to peek out.

And the Adventurers remained silent, only able to stand in a safe place and quietly observe.

Their home was not here, and this had nothing to do with them.

In fact, Master Ges wasn't that bad.

He only smashed a few things and didn't go on a killing spree... otherwise, he could have done it cleaner, without so many screams, potentially even attracting the attention of the Divine unknown.

"Shield Dropper" Hephael wiped the sweat from his brow, silently praying that nothing would happen to his friends.

And that old Abel, the foolish "Shoe-dropper," the pauper at the tavern who everyone jokingly said they were a pair, one dropping a shield, the other a shoe; though it annoyed him, he still hoped nothing happened to that fellow.

That was one of his few joys after work.

"Saint Sis above... please protect him. The guy is a good person, though a bit sly, his crime doesn't warrant this."

Adela the Sheriff did not speak, only watched silently at everything happening outside the small town, looking at Baron Ges laughing openly on his horse.

Lord Demon King was right.

This guy is a natural-born Demon.

Yet at the same time, he was also convinced that Saint Sis might indeed be blind to it all.

Perhaps that entity is like the Emperor of the Imperial, only able to see the land below the steps.

And the Imperial is so vast.

Even the capital of the Ryan Kingdom is quite far from the Emperor's knee.

Not to mention here...

"... If the Demon King invades, Silver Pine Town might not even muster a conscript army of 2000." Hephael murmured, looking at the indifferent Adela the Sheriff beside him, and spoke with difficulty, "Doesn't Your Majesty care?"

Adela's lips curved into a slight smile.

After seeing Edward's military might, his loyalty to the Demon King wavered a little.

But now, that little unrest had vanished entirely.

"Aren't there those 'devoutly faithful' mercenaries? Why worry about that great figure?"

After saying this, he steadied the ladder and left the watchtower.

He couldn't bear to see this miserable scene.

He needed to go pray in the church for a while.
