The fourth floor of the Underground Maze, the forest outside Mist Town.
Standing on a tree, Helen blankly watched the goblins noisily swarming into the forest, her cold eyes filled with disdain.
Such ugly creatures.
If not for the fact these creatures are servants of the Demon King, she would have already been unable to resist casting a spell to turn this swarm of vermin into fertilizer for the forest.
Sitting on a nearby branch, holding the back of her head with both hands, Sherry casually swung her legs, speaking in a chatty tone.
"Ever since Lord Demon King arrived, our forest has really become much livelier."
Hearing her sister's voice, Helen spoke expressionlessly.
"So much so that I'm even starting to doubt if it's correct."
Sherry looked at her sister in surprise; she remembered that her sister used to really admire that Demon King from Hell Demon City.
Especially after hearing about those theories of "photosynthesis" and "everything is composed of tiny cells," her admiration for Lord Demon King was like a relentless river...
But in just the blink of an eye, it seemed like her filter for Lord Demon King had shattered to the ground.
However, Sherry could understand her sister's dissatisfaction.
Mist Forest has withered to its current state, resources were already scarce to begin with, and now with a new neighbor, the already scant resources were visibly becoming even scarcer.
Not just her sister, but many of the young ones in the tribe had their complaints, they were just fearful of the Demon King's majesty and didn't discuss it openly.
Including their father, who had no shortage of worries regarding this issue.
Even so, Sherry remained optimistic.
After all, Lord Demon King had said it wouldn't be long before Mist Forest would regain its light.
And once sunlight breaks into the forest, with their care, this desolate woodland wouldn't take long to regain its vigor.
If it were the flourishing Mist Forest of old, let alone accommodating one goblin tribe, even ten goblin tribes would be more than manageable.
Watching the group of short figures disappear into the depths of the forest, Helen hung her dual hand sticks on her back, speaking with a cold tone.
"They better pray they don't offend me... otherwise, I definitely won't be polite with this bunch."
Feeling the chill in her tone, Sherry sitting by couldn't help but shiver involuntarily.
"I think there probably won't be an issue, after all, they do seem to listen quite well to the Demon King."
Helen snorted coldly.
"Let's hope so."
While Helen and Sherry were keeping watch over the goblins as they set up camp in the designated area, the Gray Wind Tribe's leader, Terrell Moonblade, stood quietly on an open space in the forest, waiting for something.
After an indeterminate amount of time, a gentle breeze blew slowly through the forest.
The deadwood staff in Terrell's hand twisted slightly, creaking as it emitted a hoarse whisper.
"He comes."
Upon hearing this, Terrell's expression became stern.
At the same moment, a tall and muscular figure stepped out from the shadows of the forest.
It was a Beastman Warrior.
His bulging muscles strained the rough leather armor he wore, and the beast skin war robe draped over his broad shoulders fluttered like a flag on a flagpole!
On his back, he carried a massive double-edged battle axe, and alarming scars covered his dark green skin and the heavy axe-blade like city gates.
Looking at Terrell standing at the cave's entrance, his fanged mouth cracked open to reveal a fierce grin, as if a tiger had spotted a sheep.
"Well met, leader of the Gray Wind Tribe, Terrell Moonblade."
Seeing the Beastman Warrior standing at the entrance of the cave, Terrell felt an immense pressure bearing down, causing him to grip his deadwood staff tighter unconsciously.
He managed not to let any unseemly expressions show, thanks to the support of the staff, speaking in his usual tone.
"Well met... Glak Bloodblade, we meet again."
Glak Bloodblade!
One of Reggie Dragon's Demon Generals, also one of the Four Demon Generals still alive, his power is suspected to have reached the pinnacle of Platinum Level, second only to Reggie Dragon himself!
As the chief of the Blood Blade Clan, he and his clansmen currently occupy the sixth to ninth floors of the Maze, standing as one of the most formidable forces under the surface of Thunder County!
Ever since Reggie Dragon's fall, chaos has reigned within the Maze, warlords have carved out their territories... Being the chiefs of their respective clans, it's been a long time since they've had such face-to-face contact as now.
Observing Terrell trying to maintain his composure, a mocking smile appeared on Glak's face, and his eyes gradually filled with disdain.
Although this guy was stronger than Kassen Skullcrusher, suspected to have reached the pinnacle of Gold Level, Glak still preferred the latter a bit more.
Which is also why he supported that Ogre in becoming the lord of the upper levels of the Maze.
Of course, he did not expect Kassen Skullcrusher to pledge allegiance to Chaos, but that was a matter for later.
"Let's dispense with the pleasantries, our Blood Blade Clan has no use for them."
Glak looked around, not seeing any sign of the Demon King, and then spoke with a slightly mocking tone.
"Speaking of which, where is our Lord Demon King? He summoned us here, yet he hides himself?"
Just yesterday, a messenger from the Demon King's palace had invited him to the fourth floor of the Maze to discuss the future of the Underground Maze of Thunder County.
