The Lord Demon King is Unfathomable!

Chapter 146: Catastrophe Castle_3

Grien tried to comfort Mia with a few words, but he gave up when he realized she wasn't listening at all and just shrugged his shoulders.

On the other hand, Luo Yan, standing in the subspace corridor, heard the teasing banter next to his ear.

"Lord Demon King is getting shy!"

"Shut up."

Busy combating the subspace turbulence, Luo Yan had no interest in responding to Youyou and gave a perfunctory reply before refocusing on the depths of his Sea of Consciousness.

As a splendid light shimmered around him, tens of thousands of kilometers seemed to shrink to an inch, instantly traversed under the force that tore through space.

Unlike the goblins who landed clumsily on the Teleportation Array, he took a step forward and smoothly landed on it.

At the very moment his feet touched the hard stone slabs, a loud and hearty voice rang out from straight ahead, and a burly Dwarf opened his arms to welcome him.

"Welcome! Lord of the Great Graveyard! Demon King from the deepest depths of Hell! My name is Goron Steel Bone, Lord of Catastrophe Castle, and your neighbor hahaha!"

Like most Dwarves, the fellow with a beard long enough to braid resembled a furry keg, his nose red and rosy as if on fire.

However, unlike traditional Dwarves, these Hell Dwarves were all bald, with Engravings tattooed on their faces, and some had limbs made of mechanical and engraved prosthetics, giving them a distinct cyberpunk vibe.

"Thank you for your warm hospitality. Indeed, I've long wanted to visit you, but alas, my obtuse subordinates always keep me too busy."

Luo Yan nodded slightly in respect and then hugged the barrel-like Dwarf briefly before calmly letting go.

This guy probably hadn't bathed in two weeks, reeking a distinct odor, and who knows how many little creatures might be living in that fluffy beard.

But to be polite, since the other party did not scorn his identity as an Undead Mage, he refrained from showing any disgust.

Maybe he could try selling some perfume here?

Luo Yan couldn't help but think this to himself.

The Dwarf named Goron laughed heartily, then clapped his wide hand on Luo Yan's arm, speaking enthusiastically.

"Your subordinates are enjoying themselves in the banquet hall. Our feast has already started for a while now; I hope you don't mind. My boys just can't hold their tongues at the smell of booze!"

The crudeness of the Hell Dwarves was notorious in Hell; Luo Yan even heard that they would spit brazenly while their own leader was speaking.

Not out of disrespect, rather, it signified in their unconventional culture that they were treating someone as one of their own.

Luo Yan used to think this was some exaggerated Hellish joke, just like the frequent human jokes he heard, all stereotypes, but now he suddenly believed it.

"No worries, I'm not very hungry myself; as long as they're having a good time, that's what matters."

He hinted subtly that he wanted to rest for a bit, but Goron enthusiastically grabbed his arm and said with a laugh.

"No worries if you're not hungry, as long as there's room for liquor! Come on, we must drink a few rounds!"

The sight of his liquor-induced fervor was somewhat terrifying, but maintaining the demeanor of a polite guest, Luo Yan still kept his composure with an unflinching smile.

"Then I shall comply with your kind insistence."

"Hahaha! Let's go!" Goron let out a boisterous laugh, leading Luo Yan as he strode towards the door with large steps.

It's worth mentioning that despite the Dwarves' short stature, they live in places that are exceptionally spacious.

The tall and vast corridors could rival the grand hall of the Demon City's Temple, making Luo Yan suspect even Giants could roam freely here without worrying about bumping into door frames.

After walking along the corridor for a good while, they finally arrived at the banquet hall of the Underground Castle.

And as Luo Yan had expected, his subordinate Goblins had indeed brought him great embarrassment, noisily grabbing food with their hands and stuffing it into their mouths, their greedy eyes gleaming green as if they were starving ghosts reincarnated, almost climbing onto the tables.

The glory of "Noobla" seemed to have been completely forgotten, as not a single Goblin seemed to remember it at the moment.

Only Oke was somewhat restrained, at least not standing on the tables, and even tried to maintain some order... though hardly any Goblins listened to him.

However, after seeing the style of the Hell Dwarves, Luo Yan immediately let it go.

At least his subordinates were presentable, not messily sleeping in barrels full of wine, and they were also properly dressed.

Seeing Lord Demon King standing at the entrance of the banquet hall, Oke, who was holding a chicken leg, jumped in shock and hurriedly climbed down from his chair to pay respects.

"L-Lord! Oke did advise them to calm down, but nobody listens to Oke..."

Luo Yan hadn't quite decided what to say when Goron next to him burst into laughter.

"During a banquet, just focus on enjoying the feast! No need to be polite!"

Luo Yan sighed and said.

"Just as Lord Goron said, enjoy the banquet and don't mind anything else."

"Y-Yes..." Oke climbed back onto his chair nervously and quickly returned to his usual self, gorging on the food as he adapted to the local customs.

Goron pulled Luo Yan to sit beside the seat of honor, personally pouring him wine, and then raised his goblet to officially announce the start of the already chaotic banquet.

Looking at the goblet in hand, Luo Yan hesitated whether to drink it or to chant a purification spell when no one was looking.

Fortunately, the sudden tolling of a bell at that moment offered him a way out.

"What happened?" Luo Yan took the opportunity to grasp the Magic Wand in his sleeve, casting a harmless spell on his goblet quietly.

The murky wine immediately became clear, even the alcohol content was purified.

"It's probably the Ratmen attacking again, but no worries, just a bunch of little mice, hahaha, no big deal!" Goron, having guzzled a whole barrel of wine, belched and staggered to his feet from the seat of honor, then picked up a hammer and banged it twice hard on the banquet table.

The "Boom, Boom, Boom!" sound startled the Goblins who were eating and drinking, whereas the Hell Dwarves who had their fill were all wiping their mouths, excitedly standing up with their axes in hand.

Goron stepped onto the table, seizing the fervent atmosphere, and shouted to his subordinates.

"Lads! Show our honored guests from Demon City a taste of what we do to those stinking rats in our usual lessons!"

The drunken Hell Dwarves pounded their chests with their axes, letting out deafening roars amidst the clinking and clanging accompaniment.

"Ooooh!!!"
