The Lord Demon King is Unfathomable!

Chapter 143: The Spread of the Undead's Corruption Comes First

"Yes." Yiye Zhiqu nodded, staring at the ID above the Minotaur's head and answered truthfully.

Xino Dragon, he remembered this name.

Looking at the settings on the official website, it seems to be the boss of the Hellfire Heavy Infantry Corps, a member of the famous Dragon family in Demon City.

What surprised him was that until an hour ago, this ID was marked as neutral white, but it had now turned green.

It seems that a lot of things must have happened in places they didn't know about.

Having received a definite answer from the two Skeletons, Xino, who was carrying a Battle Axe, finally breathed a sigh of relief, relaxing his tense shoulders and nerves.

Honestly, he didn't like these talking Skeletons.

It was all because of those damn Red Potatoes sold by these fellows that his warriors were constipated... and that was clearly the Demon King's scheme.

However, in this dead and ghostly place, meeting someone who could talk normally was enough to make him cry tears of joy.

Even if they were underlings of the Demon King.

"Xino Dragon, my name," unaware that these Players could see his name, Xino gave a brief self-introduction, then said hurriedly, "What should I call you?"

"I am Yiye Zhiqu, and this is Hu Wan." Yiye Zhiqu said.

"Yi something Qi... Alright, such strange names," Xino touched his massive head, finally sighing in defeat as he skipped over the pleasantries to ask the question that concerned him most, "Where the hell is this place? Do you have any clue?"

"No."

Yiye Zhiqu shook his head, looking at the increasingly disappointed face, and continued.

"We were collecting spoils at the edge of the battlefield, when suddenly a rift tore open on the ground. We couldn't dodge in time and fell in, and then ended up here."

"A rift?" Xino paused for a moment, then quickly asked, "What is that?"

He had fainted and when he woke up, he found himself here without seeing any rift!

"Don't know, we have been in this Maze for so long, and it is the first time we encountered such a phenomenon," Yiye Zhiqu continued to shake his head, then put forward his own view, "That rift was probably some sort of Portal, only there doesn't seem to be a fixed landing spot from the Maze to here."

This feeling was like a funnel.

On one side they entered from the wide mouth, while they themselves, being in the Maze, went in from the narrow end.

Xino didn't pause and continued to inquire.

"Where is that rift?"

"We are also looking for it... but haven't found it yet," Yiye Zhiqu paused for a moment, then continued, "We've told our story, now it's your turn."

"Me?" Xino was slightly startled, then said with a wry smile, "I thought you all saw it... what else do I need to say?"

Yiye Zhiqu said.

"We only saw part of it, it seems like you and your men lost."

Xino touched his nose awkwardly and tried to defend himself.

"Yes, we lost... I admit that we were outskilled, but it would not have been easy for your Demon King to win, Black Wind Castle is easy to defend but hard to attack, and a bunch of goblins couldn't even touch the main gate of the castle!"

Yiye Zhiqu and Hu Wan exchanged glances, not understanding what he was talking about, nor why he was so proud at this critical juncture.

Seeing that the two Skeletons were uninterested in what he was saying, the Tauren ultimately self-consciously stopped talking and sighed, continuing.

"Alright... you probably don't know the backstory, but me neither, why am I speaking of this to you."

Yiye Zhiqu looked at him and said.

"Indeed, we don't know about your relations with Lord Demon King, perhaps we can listen to it when we have time. For now, we'd like to know what happened after you fell into that rift."

Xino's expression grew serious, and he said earnestly.

"I saw a person."

Yiye Zhiqu's heart stirred slightly and immediately asked.

"Was it someone calling out Kao?"

Xino looked at them in surprise.

"You met him too?"

Yiye Zhiqu nodded and continued.

"Sort of... What then?"

Xino took a deep breath and said.

"Then he rambled on, in short, he wanted me to fight with their people, and then he gave me back my weapons."

Yiye Zhiqu was stunned for a moment, his tone slightly odd.

"You did as he said?"

Xino shrugged his shoulders and nodded, saying.

"I had no choice but to do it because it wasn't long before that Ogre wielding two scimitars appeared in front of me... He's one of your Demon King's men, right? What's his name again?"

"Kassen Skullcrusher, I think that's the name... And then?" Yiye Zhiqu pressed on.

"Then..."

Xino fell silent for a while, seemingly hesitant to talk, but realizing that there was no use in hiding it, finally sighed and said.

"Then, I won."

The air at the scene fell silent.

Seeing no one spoke, Xino continued to relate what happened at that time.

"...That guy was very strong, possibly Gold Level, even Platinum, but I could tell that he had just made a breakthrough recently and wasn't accustomed to his new strength yet. I tried to fend him off for a while, nearly couldn't hold up, almost died several times. But perhaps he was too eager to prove himself or something, he left an opening... and then I did this, and then that..."
