Ministry of Internal Affairs, a warehouse under the Demon King Management Department, was filled with clanging and banging noises early in the morning, and there was something indistinctly crashing against the walls.
The warehouse director just arrived at work, barely stepping through the door when he heard the ruckus and immediately started cursing loudly.
"Dammit! Who left a Little Demon in the warehouse overnight again!"
Hearing the director's shouting, the Little Demon warehouse manager on duty hurriedly flew out of the office.
"Director, it wasn't the Little Demons, it was the goblins!"
"Goblins?"
The warehouse director was slightly stunned, rubbing his chin with an expression of disbelief.
In his memory, goblins, although stinky, were not commonly seen fighting. Even when they did fight, it was usually just one-on-one scuffles, rarely escalating into group incidents.
"Take me there."
"Yes, yes!"
The Little Demon flapped their wings, leading the way with the tall Horror Demon behind, quickly arriving at a numbered storage room.
This place was for temporary storage of materials to be sent to the Demon King Territory, mainly used for logistics transfer by the various Demon Kings of Demon City.
After all, in a place as valuable as Demon City, even many Demon Kings didn't have their own land and had to rely on the Ministry of Internal Affairs' warehouses.
Sometimes this place would not just store goods, but also living creatures.
But there was no difference, really.
The moment the Little Demon flew over and opened the door, several goblins with bruised noses and swollen faces scrambled out in panic.
And behind those fleeing goblins, a group of goblins was still shouting and hollering.
"Noobla!"
"Noobla!!"
The warehouse director was utterly dumbfounded.
He had never seen such an absurd situation.
A group of goblins yelling "Noobla" managed to beat another group, which seemed to be stronger, into a frantic retreat, scattering teeth all over the floor.
The goblins that escaped the warehouse were quickly caught by the guards and, along with those chasing them, were all thrown back into the warehouse.
The warehouse director took a deep breath and roared.
"Silence, all of you!!!"
The roar of the Horror Demon still held certain deterrence, and the small goblin arms instantly clamped their mouths shut, their arrogance quickly deflating.
But that only lasted for a moment.
The craftiest Oke was the first to snap back to reality and immediately pointed at a nearby goblin, saying,
"They started it!"
The moment those words were uttered, chaos erupted.
The nearby goblins, of course, refused to accept the blame, and began to furiously argue back and forth with the goblins from the Great Graveyard.
"You're slandering us!"
"Exactly! It was clearly you guys!"
"You want another beating?!"
Seeing that the warehouse was on the verge of another brawl, the director jumped up and down with rage, waving to the Demon guards to step forward.
"Enough! This 'they' and 'you,' I can't tell who is who or what is what, everyone just put your hands on your heads and squat on the ground! If anyone doesn't comply, beat them hard!"
Oke, visibly aggrieved, but with the thought of not wanting to cause trouble for Lord Demon King, eventually squatted down obediently.
Nearly two thousand goblins were thus subdued.
The impatient Horror Demon director stretched out his hand to take a booklet from an employee next to him, flipping through it and cursing.
"Goblins from the Great Graveyard and Evil Demon Castle... dammit, who told you to put goods destined for different regions together!"
The Little Demon manager replied with trepidation,
"Recently, the transit warehouses have all been filled up; we could only group goblins with goblins."
"Noobla is not a goblin!" one goblin indignantly shouted, though not denying being considered goods.
"Shut up!"
The Horror Demon director glared at the goblin, the pressure of a superior demon and the incoming baton subdued the latter to the ground.
Then the Horror Demon director threw the booklet into the hands of an employee and went on grumbling,
"The warehouse is full, why didn't you tell me earlier? There's another shipment coming this afternoon!"
Before the manager could make any excuses, the Horror Demon director immediately added,
"Call their leaders over here! If you can't find the Demon King, then at least get an officer from the Management Department! Anyway, someone has to come take them away! Otherwise, I'll dispose of them all!"
"Yikes—!" All the goblins were startled, including those who claimed to be Noobla, and even Oke.
The latter finally realized how weak he truly was without the protection of Lord Demon King's wings. Even a lowly warehouse manager could push him around.
Damn it—
The Great Graveyard was still not powerful enough!
He clenched his fists, nails digging deep into his flesh, and burned today's humiliation into his memory.
Someday, he swore to make the Great Graveyard the strongest force in all of Hell and have Lord Demon King become the most powerful Demon King—
And then to crush Demon City beneath his feet!
"Yes!"
The Little Demon nodded timidly, about to fly off when a languid voice suddenly wafted over from one end of the corridor.
"Who's getting disposed of?"
Seeing that it was Mia who had arrived, the Horror Demon director's face immediately took on a sycophantic smile, hands clapped together, behaving as tame as a Little Demon.
"Miss Padriqi? What kind of wind blew you here?"
"What else could it be? Isn't it the wind you bunch of idiots blew?"
Mia yawned, looking listless as she spoke.
"Little miss here didn't want to handle such boring stuff personally, but since our good-for-nothing Demon King had other things to attend to, I had to step in for him."
Originally, Mia wanted to visit Professor Lillith at the High-level Demon Academy with Luo Yan, but thanks to damn Grien informing her about the trouble at the warehouse, she had to come over instead.
