The Lord Demon King is Unfathomable!

Chapter 111 Common Victory!

"Arrogant!"

Watching the Little Demon strutting about before him, the rage and madness burning within Mel finally overwhelmed his fear and trembling.

It was only a makeshift weapon that he had broken, yet this creature acted as if it had already won!

Even though he had been caught off guard and killed, he did not believe that he, a chosen one of the gods, would lose to a mere Little Demon.

Such dungeon creatures were only troublesome for the jobless members of the adventurer guild!

"I, however—am chosen by the truth!"

Roaring, Mel burned the last vestige of Chaos-given Divine Power. His delusional rant made his body continue to swell, each terrifying tentacle under him sprouting arms.

The hundreds of arms stretching outward resembled hellish spider lilies, grasping everything that could be used as a weapon in their palms—whether rust-stained swords or broken bows and pitchforks.

Seeing the swollen octopus monster, both Helen and Sherry had astonished expressions on their faces.

"This is..."

"What is that?!"

Sarah, gripping her dagger and ready to sneak attack, was quickly held back by the agile Sherry who embraced her from behind.

"Hey, hey! Calm down... My sister just healed you, and if you die, you can only be an Undead."

Sarah struggled to break free, but the Dark Night Elf, although slender, was stronger than she had expected.

"Let go! Lord Demon King..."

Helen came over to her side, placed her hand on her shoulder, and spoke soothingly.

"Your Demon King is fine, let's leave it to the little ones on the second layer. We'd only be a hindrance if we went up."

Sarah looked surprised at her, then at the monstrous tentacled beast before her, and finally at the hovering Little Demon...

She could hardly imagine the two figures being of the same caliber.

However, looking into Helen's certain eyes, she ultimately chose to believe her and silently bowed her head.

In the end, she was not able to help the Lord Demon King...

Meanwhile, the ever-expanding beast seemed to finally reach its limit, its hundreds of arms waving in the air like branches of a willow, creating an eerie surge.

At the same time, the fluttering hem in the gusty wind was like a piece of willow fluff.

Qianqian, lifting her chin, gazed down at the ugly monster, her crimson eyes slightly narrowed.

A mocking smile played on her lips.

"Is this the extent of the truth that chose you?"

"You're asking for it!!!"

Mel snarled furiously, the hundreds of flailing arms moving like rushing iron chains, striking with a force that could overturn mountains at that tiny figure fluff-like in appearance.

He was not in doubt!

With his current power, squashing that person would be as easy as crushing a fly!

However, the next second, the voice that drifted into his ears froze his fierce expression.

"Insect."

Mel suddenly turned around, only to see those sinister red eyes inexplicably behind him.

Behind?

His initial shock turned into a fierce grin.

"Don't want your Demon King anymore?"

"Demon King?"

Qianqian let out a giggling laugh, the mischievous smile on her face growing more mocking.

"You must be mistaken, there's no Demon King here."

From that mocking voice, Mel vaguely sensed something was amiss and turned back towards the front. Astonishment quickly filled his pupils.

He saw that the giant spider and the Demon King perched on its back had both vanished!

Not only that—

It wasn't just the Demon King!

The Demon King's subordinates and the surrounding dead woods had also disappeared!

It was not until then that Mel suddenly realized that he had unwittingly fallen into the Little Demon's trap.

Not only the army of the Demon King but the entire battlefield had vanished... like a mirage turning into a bubble.

And he himself, at this very moment, was in a void, enveloped only by endless thick fog and illusions indistinguishable from reality.

"Did you finally realize, insect?"

The mocking voice entered his ears again, and Mel, like a startled bird, turned around in horror.

"What have you done!?"

"What have I done? I simply let you see yourself clearly, to see the fear deep within your heart," Qianqian giggled, declaring his fate with her bell-like voice, "Consider it just a nightmare."

"It will be over soon."

Mel was startled and wanted to say something more, but the petite figure, along with the receding voice, gradually faded away.

The surroundings were left with only thick fog that his hand couldn't even penetrate.

Endless fear gradually surrounded Mel, making him feel like an insect caught in a spider's web.

The sinister red eyes multiplied into countless crimson pupils, like bloodthirsty, cruel hunters lurking in the shadows, watching the prey struggling at death's door.

"Ah!!!"

"Get out!!!"

He furiously swung his hundreds of arms, trying to pull those eyes out of the fog, but no matter how much he struggled, he could never escape from that nightmare.

With his fear and anger as nourishment, the nightmare began to reveal its fierce fangs.

The hand swallowed by the thick fog first began to lose sensation, as if being eaten by something.

Then that uncontrollable feeling started to spread, crawling up his tentacles towards his body.

It was a long and gradual process, just like an endless nightmare...

And the so-called "soon" seemed like a lie.

The all-consuming thick fog continued to spread, like water infiltrating a ship's cabin, eventually covering Mel's neck.
