The Lord Demon King is Unfathomable!

Chapter 89: Magic Modification is the Primary Productive Force!_2

Watching Oke's inexperienced expression, Luo Yan chuckled and gestured for him to calm down.

"Don't rush, Oke, I know the value of this little thing, but this is not yet the limit of my players,"

Oke was stunned for a moment.

"Limit?"

"Exactly," Luo Yan nodded, smiling as he said, "didn't you notice? This setup seems clever but is actually just a prototype, far from mature, or rather, there's a lot that can be improved."

Even calling it a prototype is a stretch, this thing wasn't even supposed to be used here; it's just a sewing machine that has been modified with magic.

As for its significant utility, probably even the players themselves hadn't imagined it; it's just a fortunate coincidence.

But aren't all great inventions born this way?

Luo Yan believed that once they tasted the benefits of technological improvements, they would certainly engage with greater enthusiasm in the endeavor to "max out the Cataclysm OL physics engine."

He absolutely didn't need to rush their growth at this moment; he could wait until his little players developed more mature technology and then build upon their achievements.

Or simply leave them to handle it.

Luo Yan didn't really want to get personally involved in this stuff, acting as a referee and playing the game wasn't really necessary.

Looking at the calm façade of the Demon King, Oke was utterly shocked, his face showing his astonishment as he spoke.

"Demon, Lord Demon King... could it be that you've seen tools even more incredible than this?"

"This is nothing," Luo Yan glanced at the inexperienced fellow, smiling as he said, "what's important is not the tool, but the methodologies and ideas for solving problems... I asked you to teach them Netherworld Language hoping you'd learn some of this from them, instead of burying yourself in old research."

"Although you might not understand the meaning of my words now, I believe you will someday."

If that day came, he'd just take the opportunity to show off.

If not, no big deal, he wouldn't lose anything either.

Oke's face, serious and moved, was suddenly filled with tears of emotion.

Demon God above!

The respectable Lord Demon King actually cared about him!

What kind of benevolence—or no, evil—or, might that not be right either?

Oke annoyingly knocked on his mentally confused head.

Not knowing which adjective to use to praise the Lord Demon King, he got so emotional that he confounded himself.

Fortunately, the Demon King didn't mind his rudeness.

Throughout, Luo Yan never looked at this fellow, his gaze constantly on those clever, diligent players.

"I think as long as they have enough time and appropriate help, they can do more than improve the carving techniques of Netherworld Language, they might even make Netherworld Language produce itself... just wait and see."

While speaking, Luo Yan walked into the practice room from the door.

Seeing the suddenly appearing Lord Demon King, Zheng Fangxing, who was counting money, was startled and inadvertently spoke out of nervousness.

"Demon, Lord Demon King?! What brings you here?"

The player working on the punching machine looked up, and almost accidentally punctured a skull's finger in his distraction.

Seeing pairs of eyes looking his way, Luo Yan didn't beat around the bush but straightforwardly smiled and said,

"I heard that Oke's Magic Workshop has spawned an odd invention that reduces apprentice's work time from six hours to within one hour... is this it?"

Unsure of the Lord Demon King's intentions, Zheng Fangxing nervously nodded and said,

"Yes, yes it is..."

While speaking, he couldn't help but add softly,

"This isn't considered exploiting a bug, right?"

"Well done," ignoring the quiet muttering, Luo Yan nodded approvingly and continued watching him as he said, "The Great Graveyard needs such innovative spirits... you've done well, I am very pleased with you."

The more he watched this ID, the more familiar it seemed, and after staring for a while he realized, wasn't this the talented craftsman who had made furniture for him?

Impressed, Luo Yan couldn't help but wonder,

You could actually do serious work, huh!

Seeing that the Lord Demon King had not come here to pick on him, Zheng Fangxing awkwardly chuckled and reverted to his taciturn carpenter self.

"Too much praise, too much praise! Hehe..."

Luo Yan continued looking at the machine for a while and then said,

"The design of this tool is very interesting… but I was wondering, why not try using Netherworld Language on this?"

"Respectable Lord Demon King! We were about to do that," a player quickly interjected into the conversation, embarrassedly smiling and saying, "but unfortunately... we, still apprentices, only have Practice Stones to use, unable to enchant this machine. If Mister Oke could teach us how to imprint Netherworld Language onto metal, I think that wouldn't be a problem!"

"That's not very hard, I'll have my servant teach you."

After saying that, Luo Yan paused for a moment, then continued.

"Also, it's not just about technique. I have a group of skilled craftsmen here with nothing on their hands; they might be able to help you."

The players exchanged glances, all throwing Luo Yan looks of surprise.

Vaguely guessing something, a player excitedly swallowed a mouthful of real-world saliva, quietly asking,

"Craftsmen? May I ask if you mean..."

"The third level of the labyrinth, the Mole People of Iron Teeth City."
