The Lord Demon King is Unfathomable!

Chapter 67 The Lord's Strength is Unfathomable_2

Levink's face shifted slightly.

This is also Baron Ges's territory?!

He even purposefully walked an extra ten kilometers to get here!

"Saint Sis above, just how much land have you granted to the Ges family..."

Levink groaned, complaining under his breath, but ultimately, he walked away disheartened.

Adela paid no mind to that man but crouched beside the river to check something.

Someone had dug a canal here, diverting the river water into the labyrinth, presumably a doing of that lord.

As for why the dragon was alerted, he really couldn't figure it out.

Before long, the sound of hooves approached, and soon, five men on warhorses galloped from afar.

Adela recognized the leader, even with his helmet on.

When Ges had whipped him, this man had stood to Ges's left, constantly ready with his hand on his sword.

The man lifted his chin when he saw him and asked haughtily, "What happened here?"

Adela did not offend him but merely answered truthfully,

"Someone reported seeing a dragon."

"A dragon?!"

The man's eyes bulged, and he nearly fell off his horse as he grabbed the reins.

"When did this happen?"

Adela; "It might have been in the morning, or perhaps in the afternoon... Anyway, it was today."

The man pressed on aggressively,

"Why has no one reported the situation to Baron Ges's estate?"

"Because we just arrived ourselves, and without accidents, you should receive the news tomorrow," Adela continued, looking at the unpleasant-faced man, "Moreover, I must remind you that ensuring the safety of the territory should be the lord's duty. I thought someone riding a horse would have arrived here before me."

The man on the horse looked unsettled, glaring fiercely at Adela.

"I will report the situation here truthfully to Lord Ges."

"Go ahead, and kindly give my regards to the esteemed Lord Ges," Adela bowed slightly with respect, hiding his disdain behind a bowed forehead.

A few horses set off at a gallop.

Until the end, the lead man hadn't glanced once at the chaotic scene.

Adela even doubted that he had seen that pale stretch of bones at all.

But, unseen or not, it didn't matter.

The man seeking a job didn't necessarily have any particular respect for Mr. Ges, just like Adela's own respect for Saint Sis over the past thirty years or so.

Ever since he had usurped the church in Silver Pine Town and so much time had passed without discovery, Adela found his reverence for those so-called titles diminishing...

Nobility.

Nothing more than that.

...

North Peak Mine.

On the way back from a campaign, Mi Xi, floating in the air, sang happily, turning flattery into a playful song.

"Dragons big, dragons strong, wings woosh like a wall of wind~"

"The Demon King comes not fearing it, with a wave of his hand, a spell he sings, dragons fall flat on the ground~"

Lucky the players couldn't understand.

Otherwise, Luo Yan wasn't sure if he might blush enough to want to hide in a crack in the ground.

Or perhaps, as a magnanimous sovereign, he should burst into laughter to cover up that barely containable embarrassment.

"Hahaha!" Thinking it, Luo Yan laughed heartily, tactfully complimenting, "Not bad, Mi Xi, it seems you all have a talent for composing, not just for pranks."

Mi Xi joyfully spun around in the sky.

"Hehe! Lord Demon King loves it, Mi Xi can sing all night!"

"Commendable spirit! But next time, you're not allowed to sing it again."

"Ah???"

Mi Xi looked profoundly disheartened, his tail sagging down instantly like an antenna, while Alakdo, being ridden by Luo Yan, laughed out loud with "hahaha."

This sycophant!

He had disliked her from the beginning.

Mi Xi gave Alakdo a resentful glare, but quickly adjusted her mood, earnestly moving closer to Luo Yan.

"Lord Demon King! When are we having the big plate chicken—no, I mean the reward, ah no no, I didn't mean to ask for a reward, I actually wanted to ask when you plan to hold the banquet to celebrate our great victory!"

Big plate chicken?

Where did this guy hear that phrase?

Luo Yan couldn't remember when he had ever mentioned it.

"In a bit, I still have to take over the Lizardman's territory, the banquet can wait until after the real business is handled. If you're hungry, you can have some dry food."

Mi Xi swallowed.

"No, it's alright, Lord Demon King! I can wait until you've handled everything!"

Luo Yan gave the guy a glance.

Is that big plate chicken really that delicious?

It even made him a bit greedy.

"Youyou, find a life-class player who knows how to cook, test out the 'Cataclysm OL' cooking system... Remember, find someone reliable, who won't do unnecessary things, and keep an eye on him."

Youyou, who followed by his side, nodded vigorously.

"Got it!"

Just as the group was heading back to the Great Graveyard, the official forums of "Cataclysm OL" were bustling with noise and excitement.

For the third batch of players entering the closed beta, the massive battle featuring thousands on the same screen had indeed thrilled many.

Even if many new players' contribution to the team battles was just blending into the skeleton crowd to scrape a Lizardman or give a bath, at least the atmosphere was electric!

Apart from those new players, many who had joined the game for the second or third time also showed significant improvement.

Like Hu Wan.

He grabbed quite a few heads with a musket.

And Yiye Zhiqu, the Tauren warrior, and so forth, although as melee units they didn't get many kills, they earned much more experience compared to those firing guns in the crowd.

After the battle, Yiye Zhiqu realized that those Lizardmen weren't as awesome as he imagined.

Their strength was only a relative advantage against those newbies who had just entered the game; for a player like himself at Iron level, they were not that strong.

Originally, he thought those creatures were at least level twenty or thirty monsters, but now it seemed he had overestimated them; they were actually just around level five or six.

As for appearing strong, mainly because the growth curve of this game wasn't entirely linear.

Yiye Zhiqu: "After several version updates, the main storyline of 'Cataclysm OL' has become quite clear, probably focusing on reclaiming dungeons before the third data pack."

Old Village Elder: "The first level has spiders and lizards, the second level has bats, I really want to know what the third level is."

Can't Afford to Play: "Kneeling to ask the devs to update with somewhat human-like creatures! Preferably a bit saucy, I really can't stand the spiders, lizards, and bats. T.T"

Gou Shi: "Is that how you ask for something?! (amused)"

Pig-headed Knight: "Wait, Little Demons really suck, huh?"

Hu Wan: "?"

Old Village Elder: "Wow, you can actually get into this game?!"

Hu Wan: "Never underestimate the Internet users' XP, I heard Minecraft even has a harmony mod. (side-eye)"

Dragon Slayer: "Stunned, bro."

The Crowd: "Are there any normal people here?!"

Knowledge Explosion: "How many times do I have to say it, no! No! Go watch your BabyBus, be a good kid."

Knocked Out At The Chemical Plant: "Wait, what are you discussing about main storyline? Are you guys playing for the main storyline? Isn't anyone going to talk about my dynamite? I actually made nitroglycerin in a sandbox game!!!"

Yesai Yibear: "What's there to boast about, it doesn't feel as badass as Lord Demon King's magic. (roll eyes)"

Past Like Smoke: "Right! You almost cost me my life!"

Two-wheeled Rider: "The key thing is you die before the enemy, no experience... Team fights are okay, at least you get contributions and Joss Paper benefits, but single grinding is totally a loss, XP goes straight to the Martians."

Knocked Out At The Chemical Plant: "Are you guys dumb? Can't you just attach the dynamite to a long pole? As long as the enemy dies first, isn't the XP yours?!"

Tauren Warrior: "Wow, that works?!"

Hu Wan: "Is it that hard to throw dynamite..."

Yiye Zhiqu: "Speaking of which, the game's physics engine is truly incredible, currently magic and skills are still the best solutions, but they are not the only solutions. I'm thinking about combining the two, making the best of both worlds."

Dragon Roaming I Can Eat: "I doubt it, this guy is struggling to make a stable explosive, I don't believe he knows the TNT formula. Too bad the industrial base at the Great Graveyard sucks, otherwise, we could make an automatic firearm or something."

Heaven-defying Demon Emperor: "Hand-crafted models aren't impossible, my brother did it, and it seemed not too hard."

Dragon Roaming I Can Eat: "Then you try making it, without reliable tools, just carving the barrel can cost you your life. (grin)"

Knowledge Explosion: "Wow, you guys are too hardcore... (sweat)"
