The other issue with Spiritual Warriors is the Evil Gods.
What is an Evil God? One who forsakes the Starry Abyss System and refuses to submit to the Primordial Abyss is considered an Evil God.
Although Leoz used to indiscriminately vilify Evil Gods, branding all his disloyal enemies as such, it still doesn't compare to a truly significant Evil God like Lievice.
The former is merely an excuse by Leoz to put a label on them, whereas the latter represents a true and complete betrayal of the Will of the Primordial Abyss.
Once a large number of Spiritual Warriors realize that their actions are fundamentally different from the past, they will experience certain doubts.
But it's not just the doubts about faith that matter; the key is that the Redemption Deities of Lai Anding rarely deploy their forces yet gain significant benefits, while those who have fought with Society for two lifetimes earn little recognition, with even their beautiful life simulated through filters.
The Starry Abyss had promised the warriors everything to make them fight with all their might: glory, fame, happiness.
Even their names.
Li Aozi, thinking about this, instinctively touched his chest.
[Leoz wasn't the first to realize that the Starry Abyss deceived His deities; it was Lai Anding.]
Once the war is won, and the warriors find themselves with nothing, without any of the promised rewards, at this point, the Spiritual Warriors will definitely be furious.
Lai Anding knew that the Will of the Starry Abyss couldn't fulfill the Spiritual Warriors' demands, so he catered to it and added filters to all reincarnated deities.
Beloved friends are fake; cherished careers are fake; beautiful spouses are fake, and even the pretty scenery is fake.
Everything in the world is but an illusion.
Such a divine clan is fraught with contradictions, with the Primordial Abyss already rotten, resembling a precarious building that would collapse sooner or later whether Leoz kicked it or not.
He only wanted to settle his wages with the Primordial Abyss before the building came crashing down.
Besides the internal conflicts among deities, the Primordial Abyss's timely reforms have already lost significance to resolve contradictions with Society as much as possible, especially now that Earthlings are stronger and Gaia might launch a strong attack on the Primordial Abyss with Anpolo at any time.
And the Narratives?
If the Starry Abyss side were truly united, there wouldn't be a need for the "Starry Abyss" plan.
If the Primordial Abyss was an old, weak, and unstable structure, then the other twelve Narrative Civilizations merely form a steel-reinforced concrete framework.
Indeed, it's durable, because it hasn't been completed yet.
The rise of narrative civilization was too recent, only over a few thousand years, evident as Redd Gold could easily grasp a narrative civilization, showcasing enormous potential but being too young and immature, lacking the strength to stand against Gaia.
Notice, he isn't referring to one narrative civilization but each of them.
Even with Void, which dominates the entire layer of Starry Abyss as the absolute ruler, before the Chief God of the Seventh Pathway Void emerged, it didn't have the qualification to contend with Gaia.
In Border Abyss for so long, Li Aozi has understood that despite the Narrative Union's nature being loose, for even the four Narrative Unions that have united only formed a strategic alliance, utilizing unified currency (which was unified already), sharing intelligence (since they're adjacent), and insisting on intermarriage and exchanges (due to low population).
On closer inspection, they aren't as united as Frost Plated and the Red Arrow Nation on Azure Star.
The Starry Abyss side is aging, the narrative side is immature, the Society side is internally dissident yet overwhelmingly strong, while within Secret, Earthlings and non-Earthlings still have their differences.
The world is so absurd that after Li Aozi scrutinized these dominant powers, he felt a strong sense of déjà vu:
Is the whole world nothing more than a giant ramshackle troupe?
Originally, Li Aozi had no qualification to think of intervening in these Grand Narratives.
His initial requirements were lower than Leoz's, with the Earthlings saying: "only seeking to survive in turbulent times without expecting to be renowned among the Great Powers."
Leoz's ambition was slightly higher; he only sought recognition from the Starry Abyss, to be granted the title of Righteous God, at most transitioning from Executer to Righteous God, without even asking to become Chief God.
Note that the name Leoz was given to him by the former God of the Present World Reylette, and Leoz himself didn't even have his own name.
However, now that his strength has risen to a new level, Li Aozi's perspective has undergone some changes.
These changes predominantly stem from a few aspects.
The first, and most important point, is Lai Anding personally stepping in.
"Lai Anding's personal involvement caused significant trouble for players and Players alike, as the server's capacity and maintenance difficulty almost instantly increased by forty times, and manpower from Qiqiao Network became insufficient, with recruitment information even being sent to the Redemption Deities."
Lai Anding's reason for stepping in was somewhat ridiculous: for the sake of his 'son', causing Li Aozi to momentarily suspect that Lai Anding harbored some conspiracy.
Yet after talking with Long Yuqiong, Li Aozi discovered this time it was truly overthinking.
Collecting the Four Great Divine Beasts was normal enough, but for the three Wild Gods she wanted to revive, Li Aozi didn't even know what to say.
To be more delicate, those three Wild Gods aren't orthodox Starry Abyss but descendants left by several Spiritual Warriors through non-standard avenues after falling into the Starry Abyss.
More bluntly: three mongrels.
[God of Sworn Oaths and Glory] Dil Yuetun—his former self was an evil sorcerer who coveted the Divine Power of the God of Integrity Duranda, severing his right hand, but mistakenly attached it upside-down to his own left hand.
As a result, this man with two right hands, although obtaining some Divine Power, became incredibly Mysterious in personality, extremely pursuing absolute justice, torturing anyone in reality who committed even a minor offense to death.
[God of Health and Blessing]Rodney — Once a beautiful young girl, she passionately pursued the [God of Happiness]Celiania.
She continuously offered her heart, brain, and skin as tokens of her affection, but all were rejected. Out of love turned hatred, she deceived the other into drinking the poisonous wine of Primordial Soil.
When Celiania died, she evenly peeled off Celiania's porcelain skin and made it into armor for herself. However, the terrified and despairing face of Celiania could never be erased, and anyone who saw her face would be scared to death.
[God of Praise and Order]Gabriel Weiss — This one is of even greater weight.
His origin is extremely complicated; simply put:
A mother bear, possessed by a succubus, became a hermaphroditic monster and violated the [Goddess of Vigilance] Starlite Chabach, who was defeated by the former Radiant Dragon Emperor. For unknown reasons, both the mother bear and the succubus succeeded in conceiving, and on that forbidden night, they gave birth to Gabriel Weiss.
To summarize:
The succubus gave birth to Gabriel's soul, making him a half-demon half-god.
The mother bear gave birth to Gabriel's body, making him half-bear half-god.
However, in the end, Starlite Chabach became Gabriel's mother, raising him with her own life.
All three participants in the procreation were female.
The first two could be rationalized as Leian not wanting to expend effort; using what was at hand was sufficient.
But the third, with Gabriel's emergence, Li Aozi couldn't hold back.
There were powerful Wild Gods within the Border Abyss, but specifically selecting these three hybrids, Li Aozi could come up with only one reason:
"Desecration Pact."
These three hybrid Wild Gods exist in a kind of void, and coupled with their cultish origins, they yearn throughout their lives to be acknowledged by the Starry Abyss.
When Leian extended an olive branch, these hybrids would unquestionably obey.
Leian intended to expand a loyal force like this to counterbalance the impending arrival of the players.
"It seems that Land Loyd is indeed important to Leian."
Li Aozi murmured:
"But resorting to using such a force makes it clear that Leian truly lacks combat strength."
"No, more than that, Leian was never a warrior. This posture merely confirms one thing."
"Leian's days are truly numbered."
Li Aozi's eyes flashed with a bright idea that suddenly came to mind:
[Redd once granted me the ability to steal the talents of others. My original form stole the Talent of the Martial Way, significantly speeding up my Pathway integration.]
[What if the Talent of the Redemption Pathway were stolen as well?]
[She values Land Loyd so much; could it be because… Land Loyd himself possesses the carefully honed and refined results of the Savior Lord God's endeavors over billions of years, the strongest Redemption System talent?]
[It's not just Land Loyd.]
Li Aozi caressed the desk, his eyes filled with a burning desire:
"If I could kill Leian, what could I gain?"
It's known that there are flaws in the Lai Anding Medical Protocol.
Ether Blood can pierce the medical protocol; that's how Caramel Snail's little girlfriend died.
He raised his hand, circulating Qi Energy, and forced a drop of silvery-white blood from his fingertip.
[I'm not just Leoz. I'm also the secretive [Blacksmith] senator.]
[If Leian were to die prematurely at the hands of the secret imposter, what changes would occur?]
Li Aozi paused.
[Wait, this might be a huge breakthrough!]
[If Leian dies, and the Will of the Starry Abyss no longer has a Chief God at its helm, what would happen?]
[Faced with the threat of Gaia, the Will of the Starry Abyss would be forced to abandon its fantasy of peace and engage in a backwater battle!]
"Yes, exactly! Therefore, Leian must keep a close watch on Land Loyd. Land Loyd is her heir and also the successor of the Pacification Faction! Even the Will of the Primordial Abyss turns a blind eye, willing to fall out with the players for his sake. Because Leian's existence is directly linked to the Primordial Abyss's peace strategy."
If Leian dies, the Pacification Faction would be finished.
The Starry Abyss would be forced to fully prepare for a life-and-death struggle with Earth, never resting until one side perishes!
And then, whom would the Will of the Starry Abyss choose as a successor?
