Meteor Fall Master in the 'Starry Abyss'

Chapter 80: A Gift for Glina (Part 2)

"Los Angeles, it sounds like some remote mountain village, but after all, it's a place the demons wrested from the Secret, worth a visit."

Glina made a decision:

"How about this, let's go to Earth after my Void visit."

"Not necessary, darling, I am about to head to Starry Abyss myself."

"You? Are you crazy? The war between Purgatory and the Void just settled thirty years ago, if you openly enter Starry Abyss now, those fanatical Nihilists will tear you apart."

"Rest assured, the Void has its own headaches — you know, just recently, they lost a Void Overlord."

"An Overlord." Glina raised an eyebrow: "That's quite rare... those who become Overlords are elite talents."

"Starting from childhood, they are one in a million, chosen among children with the most philosophical insight and appreciation, then sent to the School of Language and Law to become a Void Servant."

"Void Servants spend at least 20 years immersed in Nihilism, then arranged by Senior Philosophers to endure hardships and experience suffering. In this way, they can advance to become a Void Observer."

"Void Observers are absorbed by the Twilight Weekly Club, guided by the tendrils of the Void, to personally foster a civilization, and then watch it gradually head towards demise once external interferences are lost — when a civilization is on its decline, their memories and years will merge into the pathways of this Observer."

"Only upon reaching this step, is a qualified Overlord complete. Honestly, after completing this step, a normal Overlord has reached a state where the Void is unbreakable, and they themselves are immortal. It's this formidable immortality that enables the Void to call it the Seventh Pathway."

Elyssia calmly said:

"It's a pity that Starry Abyss is moving too fast, they are too eager to infiltrate the Layer Abyss. Who knows, the Overlord they sent disappeared without a trace, and soon, even the Inherent Time Domain of the Void was removed — you know what that means."

"There is only one way to remove the Inherent Time Domain."

Glina said indifferently:

"Extermination, leaving nothing behind, even replacing every molecule in the soil and air completely, to sever the Inherent Time Domain of the Narrative. Because of this reason, the Narratives are no longer as domineering as before, expanding their Inherent Time Domain recklessly, otherwise they will face joint resistance from Society and the Starry Abyss People."

"Darling, you must know, common folk are the most ignorant. They don't understand anything about grand perspectives, Grand Narrative, Starry Abyss Fate. Understanding nationalism alone makes them insightful, which is normal — with a few hundred Ammonium Gold a month, whoever feeds them is who they'll follow, it's as simple as that."

Elyssia laughed:

"The Void Overlord annihilated by the Layer Abyss strongman was very young with unlimited potential, having made many outstanding contributions. It's heard the Void Narrative side is quite furious, even — Xides, I remember it's the Overlord named Xides. They haven't even retrieved the body of Xides Grand Lord."

"This is quite odd."

Glina sat up straight from the bed, stretched lazily, and suddenly glanced at the direction of the elevator doors without warning.

"What's wrong, darling?" Elyssia noticed Glina's neurotic behavior and immediately showed concern: "Is the Empire not treating you well? You look thinner."

"My chest never really developed, unlike you, who is constantly holed up in the castle eating and sleeping, just eating and sleeping."

Glina casually teased her friend, yet quietly stood up from the bed.

"Glina..."

Elyssia sensed something off in the atmosphere and asked:

"Do you need me to help?"

"It's nothing, probably a crazy fan or paparazzi came over, it's been frequent lately."

Glina slightly sensed, detecting no malice. Though the interruption made her lose the desire to rest on the bed. She simply draped a thin silk robe and slowly walked into the garden.

"It's nothing, continue talking, I'll take a stroll in the garden, the signal might not be great."

Perhaps due to inherited half Merfolk lineage, Glina loved being near water. What attracted her most to this hotel was this Nightshine Meadows.

The garden door opened, revealing endless stars. The thin clouds just shrouding the feet, this experience of walking on clouds can't be enjoyed by just anyone. The panoramic skylight filtered out most of the space rays, leaving only the suitable frequencies to absorb and view.

Glina flicked her delicate hand, letting loose her platinum long hair, cascading like a waterfall to the ground. As she stepped into the upper atmosphere, gravity slightly lessened; even for her, a client cursed repeatedly for diving and surfacing in the Starry Abyss, she could easily walk between the meadows without relying on any Strength.

Of course, since this is already in the cosmic realm, the signal is somewhat poor, but thanks to the Inherent Time Domain, there was no lagging issue, only Elyssia's side receiving messages would be delayed by a second or half.

"To put it this way, Xides Grand Lord was a highly regarded presence in the Void. His mentor was rumored to be the Twilight Calamity Lord, the Twilight Duke sealed by Starry Abyss."

"It's actually the Twilight Duke?!"

Glina exclaimed:

"That fierce person who returned from the Mass Abyss Battlefield seven hundred years ago, carrying two blank Divinities. I heard that crazy lady told me, Twilight Duke once had a conflict with the Secret Emperor. Although he returned seriously injured, he still beheaded three Jury and fifteen Citizens before the Emperor Anpolo — such a battle record actually earned him a Platinum Hunter emblem from the Hunters Association."

She spoke while gently bending forward, picking a purple nightshine flower and softly stroking the delicate petals.

After half a second, Elyssia nodded:

"Yes, the Twilight Duke is the Void side's most promising person to Ascend to Godhood. He is said to be barred from re-entering the Mass Abyss and has been under the Twilight Weekly Club's supervision, always waiting for the Void Emperor to abdicate, becoming the successor of the Void."

"Void... their obsession with The Seventh Main God is truly intense."

Glina sniffed the floral fragrance and said faintly:

"Among all Narratives and Starry Abyss, Starry Abyss is the most unique. It chose the same path as the Primordial Abyss, deciding to devote itself to the Narrative, eventually forming powerful cosmic, civilization, and pathway — Trinity, possessing cohesion and mobilization in the thirteen major narratives second only to Primordial Abyss, essentially indistinguishable from Society."

What they were talking about was long beyond the matters of ordinary girls' eating, drinking, and playing. As true aristocracy and ruling class, their interactions were not merely out of friendship, but also for politics and interests.

Void, Starry Abyss, do these two existences still differ?
