Chapter 477: Grudge of the World

In a camp put up by the actual survivors of the Acraepoid apocalypse.

Dozens of Level-2 Acraepoid Commanders were flapping their wings as they flew across the sky. There was even a Level-3 Acraepoid Noble in the camp. The rest of the Acraepoids were either warriors or a handful of families.

Although the Abyssal Cataclysm had not ended completely, decades of abyssal energies seeping in had taken a huge toll on the numbers of Acraepoids. Their numbers were not even one-hundred thousandth of what it used to be in the Infernal Spirit World!

Within the Infernal mainland nowadays, one could no longer find even a city that housed the hundred-meter high towering Flame Burrows. The Acraepoid Civilization was now facing the real threat of having their lineage broken.

Abyssal Demons scoured the Infernal mainland that was covered in the Abyssal Moss. Not one piece of land was safe.

Almost all of the newly-born Acraepoid infants had met a premature death. Some of them would survive, owing to their parents’ strong constitutions. But their numbers were minuscule.

All the Acreapoids were in agreement.

The real threat of the Infernal mainland was not the Demon-Hunter Sorcerers, for even if they were strong, their numbers and energy were limited. They could only destroy tangible targets in the cities and not all of the Acraepoid Civilizations in the large Infernal Spirit World.

Yet, these Abyssal Demons that were everywhere could do it!

At the root of these Abyssal Demons were the Dark Demon-Hunter Sorcerers who had sowed the seeds of the moss when they infiltrated the Infernal Spirit World.

The leader of the huge Acraepoid encampment pushed aside his sadness for the loss of the tens of thousands of survivors just now. He looked at the Abyssal Demons, that almost covered the sky, charging toward him, as well as the eye of the dark vortex cloud that the demons were protecting. The five evil, cruel, and ruthless Sorcerers.

The surviving Acraepoids could almost smell the scent of death.

Out of the five Sorcerers, the one in the middle, wearing a pale-grey mask gently waved his magical staff like a magistrate of fate. His order, “Destroy them”, was enough to move the millions of Abyssal Demons in his direction like tidewater, destroying everything that went against the Sorcerer’s Will in their path.

The violent current of the Abyssal Demons was not something that could be stopped by the thousands of Acraepoids who were only trying to survive.

“Sorcerers!”

For decades, the sorcerers had ravaged their way through the Infernal Spirit mainland, destroying all the Flame Burrows.

Those who made their camps in the cities became the first targets. The terror that the Sorcerers brought was comparable to the devils that were inscribed in the holy books of their Infernal Gods.

The first thing that came into the minds of almost all of the Acraepoids, Warriors, and Commanders when they saw the tens of thousands of Abyssal Demons charging in was fear. A spine-chilling fear.

Forget about fighting, these Acraepoids had even lost the courage to run.

Only a Level-3 Acraepoid Noble let out a scream. Deep within his wrinkled eyes was his longing for the glory of the Acraepoid Civilization millennia past. There was only hatred that seeped out from his bones toward the Sorcerers. There was no fear at all.

The Acraepoid Noble put his hand over his sheath on his waist.

“There’s no where to run. The true purpose of these Sorcerers is to kill each and every descendant of the Acraepoid Civilization because they are afraid, they are afraid of the growth of our great Acraepoid Civilization!”

As an Acraepoid Noble who had been a part of two foreign expeditions, he knew all too well about the ruthlessness of a foreign expedition.

There was no such thing as love or hatred in the Endless World. Only an ever-existing constant primal war that was proliferated endlessly.

The seven enslaved worlds of the Acraepoid World were their living proof.

But now, their roles were reversed. The alien lives that used to moan in despair under the Acraepoid’s Will were now the Acraepoids themselves. The powerful, terrifying Sorcerers were crushing the Acraepoid World with an even more advanced civilizational will.

The Level-3 Acraepoid Noble could see through the layers of Abyssal Demons. He caught a glimpse of Grimm from a flashing gap and drew his infernal sword.

In an instant, a thirty-over meter infernal energy was ignited.

The eyes of the Acraepoid Noble were determined. He charged toward Grimm without fear, his huge burning infernal blade seemed almost invincible!

“Don’t be afraid! Only by killing him, by killing this Sorcerer, will we stand a chance in living!”

The Acraepoid Noble roared.

In the decades following the Abyssal Cataclysm, the Acraepoid Noble had been through too much. The experience had made his cultivation grow much more than his past millennia’s training. The blade in his hand was at the peak of the Acraepoid Noble level.

“Afraid?”

Within the encapsulant of the impressive amount of Abyssal Demons, Grimm coldly smiled at the Acraepoid Noble like a Demon King that had descended upon the world. He did not seem to care about a Level-3 Acraepoid Noble that was heedlessly charging toward him.

“The only thing that the Sorcerers are afraid of is their own ignorance.”

Grimm gently waved his magical staff. There was no channeling of mana, nor any use of the leverage principle. There was only the Sorcerer’s Will, yet it had become Grimm’s strongest spell yet.

As the Sorcerer’s Will rippled, columns of Abyssal Demons were charging at the Acrarepoid Noble that was hell bent on killing Grimm.

He managed to kill more than ten Abyssal Demons with the swing of his thirty-over meters huge infernal sword, but thousands more were swarming in from all directions. In the blink of an eye, the Acraepoid Noble was consumed.

The dark abyssal aura had overwhelmed his infernal spirits.

Only a few traces of infernal energy seeped through the gaps between the demons’ wings, like a final struggle before death.

“It’s over. After all, you’re just… huh?”

Suddenly, a ray of sunlight of the Infernal Spirit World pierced through the abyssal clouds, shining right upon the Acraepoid Noble that had been encapsulated by the Abyssal Demons.

“Caw!?”

“This…”

“The world’s will!?”

Little Myna, Wicky, and Claudia were surprised. They looked at the column of light that could pierce through the huge number of Abyssal Demons in amazement.

Grimm’s body tensed up for a moment.

Compared to Little Myna, Wicky, and Claudia, Grimm had earlier sensed that the world’s will was about to manifest physically. Layers of the world’s law chains came down from the sky and killed thousands of Abyssal Demons before tying the Noble.

“Dammit, those World Guardians had saved up this move for themselves!”

Grimm clenched his teeth. He knew this was the last resort that the World Guardian had put in place for themselves to kill the culprits who had thrown the world into a state of chaos.

If it were not for the will of the Infernal Spirit World that had been completely tainted by the Abyss Moss, the law chains would not be used to rescue the Acraepoid Noble. They would be used to kill Grimm instead.

There was a black flame furiously burning on top of his head. The small-framed Acraepoid Noble rose up slowly. A golden flame was burning from his eyes, mouth, nose, and ears like the brilliance of the sun. Each of his breath was burning in a majestic fury.

They were noticeable by every normal person.

But Grimm could sense it using his Principal Will. It was the last surviving will of the Infernal Spirit World that had taken over the Acraepoid Noble’s body to look for him. It was the grudge of the world!

Boom!

While Grimm was looking at the Acraepoid Noble, a powerful aura exploded from the Noble’s body, knocking back the hundreds of Abyssal Demons that were charging at him. He turned into a blazing light and charged at Grimm.
