When it was time for bed Helena led me to her room. Of course, I immediately began investigating it. She had a few weapons and a shield on her wall, but no art. I did not see many toys either. Except… I grinned. There was an orange fox on a shelf. I immediately grabbed it. The toy was made from linen and stuffed with something fluffy. It was the size of a small cat and the tail hair might have been real.
"So you like foxes." I said while holding the toy.
"I used to cuddle with that when I was younger. Now I have upgraded." She replied with a smirk.
I blushed but kept exploring the room. There were a few books but nothing sounded too interesting.
"For a noble you don't have a lot of fancy stuff." I noted. Well, of course her furniture was of high quality. But it was not covered in gold, gems, or other expensive things.
Helena shrugged. "I like stabby things more than fancy things. Except for food. I do love some good food."
I could agree with that. Good food was awesome. I finished my exploration and crawled into bed. I fell asleep in Helena's arms, feeling happy.
The next few days were spent with training. Well, we did some relaxing as well. And I raised the ibex corpse. I simply made it into a draugr, with Helena's help. Hans watched us because he was curious and Helena wanted to show off. The ibex had four horns so it used to be a male.
It was smaller than a horse but you could sit on it without your feet touching the ground. Well, I could. It might be slightly too small for Frank but it could work for me or Hatsumi. Maybe a draugr was a bit overkill for a mount but you could charge into battle with it. And thankfully I had enough mana to not worry about using some for a mount.
Our training continued and it involved everyone. Hatsumi worked with Skadi to improve her blood magic. And Nyx…
I was in the courtyard a few days after we had returned. It was morning after a night of heavy snowfall. Soldiers were busy clearing the courtyard with shovels. Magic would have been more efficient but I suspected the idea was to keep the soldiers busy and give them a workout. I was here to train Nyx. It was a great environment for frost magic.

"Nyx, I know you are hiding in that pile of snow." I said, staring at a pile. There was no response. "Just think about the Devourer. Surely you want to become a mighty creature like that."
After a moment a head appeared and two glowing eyes looked at me.
"You have your breath attack, which is great. But you should work on better protection and maybe general frost manipulation. If you can learn to freeze people's legs in combat it would help you a lot." I suggested. "Maybe you can enhance your bite and claws some more. What about a frost poison? You did devour those ice viper glands a long time ago."
Nyx tilted her head.
"Don't pretend you forgot! Even if you were not a full tier three back then." A lot quieter I mumbled: "Or hiding what you were…"
Nyx licked her paw.
I used telekinesis to form a small ball of snow and threw it at her. Nyx dodged and narrowed her eyes. I grinned and created more balls of snow.
What resulted was a snowball fight. Nyx started creating snowballs herself and launched them back. Then I got hit in the head from behind. I turned around and found a grinning Helena. While she was busy smirking, Nyx launched some snow at her from the side.
It was not long until Cassie, Skadi and Hatsumi joined the fight as well. The situation escalated slightly as we used our magic to form even bigger snowballs. And shields to defend against the snow. And maybe some frost magic trying to trip people and make them fall into the snow… But we were all laughing and having fun.
"What is going on here?" We heard a voice ask.
A young man had entered the courtyard. He was on a horse and flanked by two guards. His hair was short and white as snow. His face was smooth and clean shaven. He studied us with turquoise eyes.
"Derrick!" Helena shouted while her head popped out of a pile of snow.
"Sis? Why are you buried in snow? Why is the courtyard a mess?"
"We are training! You should join." She replied, while forming a snowball.
He shook his head. "Stop! I have no intention to join your antics."
"Hehehe. Are you afraid of your sister? I am a senior mage now!" Helena declared, proudly.
"You are? Congratulations! I have heard some about your antics from the capital but I was not sure how much of it was true…" He looked at me. "Greetings. You must be Koyuki, the necromancer I have heard about."
"Yes, I am Koyuki. A pleasure to meet you." I replied.
"She is also a senior mage and she is my girlfriend!" Helena added. "And those are my friends Cassie Ashburn and Skadi. This is Hatsumi, Koyuki's vampire maid and this is Nyx, a tier three undead."
Derrick's mouth opened, then closed. He looked confused and was clearly speechless.
"Hi there." Skadi said, waving.
"Nice meeting you." Cassie said.
"Greetings, Derrick Frost." Hatsumi said, while curtsying. While doing so some of the snow on her head fell down.
"Meow." Nyx said.
Derrick finally recovered and managed one word: "What?"
