North America Gunman Detective

Chapter 754: Found storage box 461

Jimmy looked at Steven Gomez, who was the only contact Tom had left for Jimmy. This meant the man was completely trustworthy to Tom, so Jimmy had used his real name.

Jimmy: "I need to find someone here, but my appearance is too noticeable; I need the help of a local, and you are the only contact Uncle Tom left for me."

Steven said in a low voice, "The only one? That old man... How could he have a Chinese nephew? Alright, wait a moment, and we'll go outside to talk."

Jimmy nodded, standing aside while Steven got up, grabbed a towel from the cabinet to wipe off his sweat, didn't take a shower, just changed his clothes, put on his holster, grabbed his bag and motioned for Jimmy to follow.

Arriving at the parking lot, the two got into Steven's car. He didn't start the car but turned to look at Jimmy: "Now you can talk."

Jimmy took out Tim's photo from his pocket, "The person I'm looking for is him, Tim Spark or Timmy Spike, both names are his, second in command of the Azte gang."

Steven looked at Jimmy in surprise: "Fxxk, how did you get your hands on this kind of information? Who are you?"

Jimmy: "We are colleagues, both serving the Federation."

Steven looked Jimmy up and down: "Suit, sunglasses, Glock, FBI?"

Jimmy nodded, and Steven reached out to shake his hand: "Steven Gomez, DEA."

Jimmy: "Jimmy Yang, FBI. Nice to meet you, Steven."

Steven looked at the photo of Tim, "Azte's Tim, we've been searching for them for a long time without any information, and you managed to get a photo and even locate him?"

Jimmy: "Of course, there were other people helping me. This isn't official business, so I can't go to the FBI office, I can only ask you privately to confirm his exact location."

Steven: "No problem, though this matter..." Steven looked at Jimmy but didn't continue.

Jimmy thought for a moment: "I'm looking for the person; if there are other gains, you can have them."

Steven nodded: "No problem, leave it to me. I'll arrange for someone to investigate tomorrow, keep an eye on your phone for information."

Jimmy: "Thanks."

Steven: "Just take me to visit Tom's grave later."

Jimmy nodded. Tom's grave was still back in Kentucky, something he could find just by asking James. And since he wasn't exactly lying—Tom's grave was indeed there—since Tom hadn't told him he was still alive, there was no need to elaborate further.

After Jimmy got out of the car, Steven drove away. It was indeed interesting that Tom's acquaintance turned out to be DEA, given Tom initially dealt with border issues and having a DEA insider was more convenient.

The world was too chaotic, completely unclear who was the enemy and who was a friend. It seemed like every agency had moles, and those caught in the FBI's Manhattan office definitely weren't the only ones.

-----------------

The next day, Steven directly arranged for his people to go to the scene for investigation. With detailed intelligence, it was crucial to seize the benefits for himself, especially since intelligence obtained unofficially often had more detail than their own, especially when provided by an FBI agent under the table.

However, Steven's actions still alerted his partner, Hank Schlader.

Hank Schlader, DEA Senior Agent, Steven's partner and the one in charge among the two, bald, with a chubby face, affable and passionate about his work, was an excellent agent.

Seeing Steven secretly arranging people to investigate something, Hank didn't ask him directly. Instead, he took the opportunity of going out to drive them to a secluded spot where they both got out of the car to discuss.

Steven had intended to handle it privately since it was a personal matter, but Hank had discovered it anyway. After thinking over it for a while, he decided to share a bit, as if they really found Tim, there was no way Hank could stay uninvolved in the follow-up.

Steven: "Someone provided a lead on Azte's second in command, Tim. I sent someone to verify it."

Hank perked up, "Azte's second in command, Tim? Are you sure? This is a big fish."

Steven nodded: "The information source is reliable. We can now confirm that Tim is in Albuquerque, just not sure which house yet."

Hank slapped the car, "Get in, let's go check it out."

Steven quickly said, "Wait, we can't go, especially you. You've had too many dealings with these people; they might recognize you. I've arranged for newcomers; nobody will recognize them."

Hank: "Let's go, we'll just stay in the car."

Hank took his job very seriously and had a meticulous mind. Since Steven already had a lead, they should get moving fast. They definitely couldn't let this big fish get away.

Steven was a bit conflicted now. He had promised Jimmy he would handle Tim, and letting Hank get involved like this would definitely disrupt Jimmy's plans.

His concern wasn't much about Jimmy, but rather because of Tom's reputation, especially since Tom was already dead. Messing up Jimmy's affair casually would really be disrespectful to Tom.

With no good reason to make Hank back down, Steven reluctantly got into the car, pointed the way, and let Hank drive them there.
