North America Gunman Detective

Chapter 531: 371 Unbeatable Close Combat in the Building_3

Jimmy: "Hehehe, just a bit of cunning. It's only by being familiar with your operational strategies that I could do this. If it were those desperados, you guys would definitely turn them into sieves,"

Paul: "Alright, you go out now. We're protecting the hostages on the third floor, you come and assassinate,"

Jimmy nodded his head. He went directly downstairs to the equipment area, reloaded his pistol magazines with bullets—one primary and one backup, both Glocks, standard issue for the FBI.

He didn't fire a signal shot and, just like Paul's team, approached from the side of the building, entering through the main door. Jimmy had already seen their positions, two people on the second floor, one on the third floor looking out a window—the movement of Jimmy entering the building was very clear to him, but he didn't fire. This was a drill, they were definitely supposed to let Jimmy come inside. Three more people were in a room on the third floor. Now that he knew the positions of all six people, all that was left was to clear them from bottom to top.

Jimmy lingered briefly on the first floor, then moved up the stairs sticking close to the wall, his Glock aimed toward the stairwell, knowing the positions of the opponents, but still needing to complete the steps.

Reaching the second floor, Jimmy went directly towards the room where the two men were situated. He waited at the doorway, and the men inside aimed their guns at the entrance; despite wearing police boots, his footsteps were still somewhat audible. In this simulation, there were no other sounds in the building, making the footsteps very clear.

Jimmy first aimed at one of the men through the wall, burst out firing, then quickly ducked and rolled to the ground, his body crossing just past the door frame, perfectly able to take down the second man.

After being shot, the two men let go of their weapons and stood up shaking their heads. There wasn't much to say—they had preemptively aimed at the door, yet had been hit even before firing. This was a suppression of reaction speed, not something that better marksmanship could compare with.

Jimmy stood up, smiled at them, and without saying a word, turned to leave the room, preparing to go up to the third floor. Here he directly noticed two people in the room, and this was actually problematic, but even if it was just for show, there was no need to go to extremes because he had already confirmed that no one had seen him in the stairway and second floor corridor.

At the stairs, Jimmy started going up to the third floor. The remaining four people were all on the third floor, split between the left and right sides; there was no real choice to make, he would take down the one keeping watch by the window first.

Having fired on the second floor, those above had naturally heard everything, so their actions now were very uniform: all of them aimed their guns at the doors, hiding to the side, trying to minimize their exposure.

Jimmy tossed a piece of wood into the side of the room, then burst out firing. It was just an attempt to draw the attention of those inside, but it had little effect. As Jimmy burst out, the people inside also fired, but they didn't hit Jimmy. Part of the reason was their marksmanship, and another was that they had stopped firing after feeling they had been hit, firing only two or three shots. With Jimmy's limited exposure, it was normal not to be hit.

Turning to the other room with three people, this time Jimmy didn't mess around, just fired randomly at their position during breaks in shooting, continuing until both his magazines were empty, finally taking out Paul and his two teammates.

Paul stood up: "You did that on purpose, didn't you?"

Jimmy chuckled: "I'm out of bullets, need to reload,"

Paul and his team weren't in the mood to continue. If it hadn't been for Jimmy's playing around at the end, perhaps they would have ended up like the other three, just as quickly dispatched.

The speed of Jimmy's gunfire from the doorway was a bit fast. If it were a real combat scenario, maybe shooting through the wall or firing near the doorway could have put more pressure on Jimmy, but with training ammunition and no pressure from injuries, this style of fighting was seriously frustrating for them.
